Menehune Shores is an oceanfront complex located in North Kihei, twenty minutes from the airport between Maalaea harbor and Wailea. Truly oceanfront, there is a protected swimming and snorkelling beach out front and the five mile long Sugar Beach extending from the property north to Maalaea, perfect for long morning and sunset walks. A heated pool and BBQ area are located in the tropically landscaped seaside grounds, and a rooftop BBQ and dining area provides stunning views of the ocean, Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains, Molokini, Kahoolawe, and Lanai. It is a great place to look for whales in the winter and relax and enjoy Maui’s breathtaking sunsets each evening.

Thank you for all of your help while we were there. It is so nice to do business with someone who actually cares. When you came over yourself to check out the ac I was really surprised.

The condo was clean and furnished so beautifully. The week before we were on the Big Island in a condo and it was awful. So how refreshing and pleasant to walk into unit #501. The unique bed situation in the guest bedroom worked out perfectly as my brother and his friend were not accustomed to sleeping with anyone especially in a queen size bed. Just a lovely stay and great location.

The Hawaiian Humpback Whale Sanctuary is our immediate neighbor; and information on the seasonal whale population can be obtained there. This was a lovely condo, clean, great view, good location. Very nice Indian restaurant on site, pool great, right on the beach. Easy to get to anything you wanted to see/do on Maui. Wish I had booked more nights here!

Wonderful ocean view and roof deck 360

We realy appreciated the condo with its ocean view and the wonderful roof deck 360! Kihei is very well situed to visit Mauï! Air conditioning permit to close room windows to envoid street noise. We strongly recommand this condo!

Nice time on Maui.

Property was fine. Starting to show its age, but we were satisfied with the accommodations. Other reviews mentioned road noise. It is there but pretty quiet at night. Great views from rooftop deck, BBQ area. Great time taking Trilogy tour to Lanai, and Luau at Old Lahaina Luau. A food must is Kehei Caffe for breakfast and/or lunch. Great BBQ at Fat Daddy's. Mailinee was great to work with. Having a keypad on the door eliminated the "who has the key?" problem. Overall we were pleased.

Enjoyable Stay in Kihei

This was our second visit to Kihei; our first stay at Menehune Shores. The condo was as advertised. We found it to be clean and very well stocked in the kitchen and also with beach chairs, toys, body boards, snorkeling equipment. Working with the owner was easy and she was very responsive. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice to have the two bathrooms. There is access to the beach going south for quite a distance if you enjoy just walking on the beach. There is a man-made stone fish wall that spans the length of the building in the ocean. This keeps the water in front of the building very calm, which means you won't hear crashing surf and it's quite easy to swim and just play around in the water there without any waves. It's very sandy in the water. This unit is on the very end of the building closest to the main road that runs through Kihei. It means you have extra windows and more cross-ventilation in the unit, but also means you hear continuous traffic noise, and because the water is so calm at this part of the beach, you don't have the crashing surf to drown out the noise. The lanai didn't have a completely straight on view of the ocean because it was at the end of the building, but still had a lovely view and we enjoyed several wonderful sunsets there. The building is towards the northern part of the city which means that you're not necessarily within walking distance of a lot of the commercial part of the city, but also means it's not as crowded and easier to get from there to other parts of the island. Kihei is very centrally located on the western side of the island to a lot of other places to visit and is relatively affordable. We really enjoyed our stay at this condo and our experience in renting it.

Really nice unit in a friendly building right on the beach

The unit was really nice, well kept, lots of amenities and stocked with all the things a visitor needs and the comforts of home. Great place for a family, too. Roof top views are amazing.
