Excellent apartment in the heart of Rome
Our family of three stayed here in late May. The apartment was good for three (two adults and a 13 yo) and could have taken a second child easily. Very conveniently located just off the Campo Di Fiori where the daily market meant it was very easy to buy wonderful food. There were also a myriad of restaurants, delicatessens and several small supermarkets nearby so the only difficulty with food was choosing what to eat!
The apartment was spacious, airy and light filled. We loved the mezzanine and the big windows that opened into the laneway. There are two flights of stairs up to the apartment but these were not onerous. The kitchen was good though we did not cook (too much food elsewhere). Kitchen did need a better plug for the sink (minor point as we only made drinks!). The bathrooms were good. The shower upstairs took a very long time to get warm water through and the pressure was low but the downstairs shower was fantastic so we mostly used that. Having the upstairs bathroom with the mezzanine bedroom was very convenient however.
This is a good base to see the best of Rome from on foot. Eg. 25 min to the Vatican, 10 min to the edge of Trastevere, 15 min to the Pantheon, 10 min to Piazza Di Navone, 40 min to the Forum and the Coloseum.
Francesca arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport. This cost a little more than the set taxi fare but was well worth it because I don't know if we would have found our way very easily without Roberto. His brother Renato drove us back 6 days later. Both lovely gentlemen and made our transfers so easy.
If we were to go back to Rome we would be delighted to return to this apartment and highly recommend it. Wonderful memories.
