Good Cooler Weather Rental

  • 4 of 5

Comfortable apartment in cool weather. Good mattresses, quiet for central Paris, good location with good security. Shower mechanism needs repair, as turning on and off the water was a major daily challenge for the length of our stay. Can handle 4 comfortably once sharing one bathroom is worked out. Two identical bedrooms don't force visitors to decide who gets best room. Washer/dryer small and slow (3 hour cycle), but works as advertised.

Is top floor rental with slanted roof in bedrooms, and very poor insulation between apartment and roof. One portable A/C unit on wheels is very inadequate, and did not even cool the sitting room where it was situated. Two windows (one in each bedroom) don't open at all, one large living room window (top latch) opens 3 inches, and the other (side latch) was stuck and we did not want to risk forcing it open. There are no other windows in the apartment. When temperature outside reached 70 degrees with even partial sun, the apartment quickly became oppressive. Given Paris' maritime climate, a summer rental could be absolutely miserable. Because the Paris Spring has widely varying climatic conditions, we needed heat on some days, and it worked fine.

We had a very enjoyable time (beyond shower issue), although salt, pepper, sugar, and more than two small rolls of toilet paper would have been a nice touch for an 12 day rental. However, until the air conditioning issue has been addressed, we would not stay there for free during the hot months. We noted a huge temperature variant (easily 15 degrees) between the interior apartment and the hallway on the ground floor of the apartment house, which indicates just how poor the roof insulation is in the building.

In summary, the shower issue aside, we had a pleasant time in the rental. However, we felt fortunate we were departing before the Paris summer weather firmly established itself. Until the air conditioning issue is addressed, we consider the apartment inappropriate for rental in the high tourist summer months.

Perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location of this apartment as we thought it was quite central and suited our needs. We were a group of three coming for work so being close to Concorde helped us. Everything worked well and welcome2france was very easy to deal with. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a pleasant stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very pleasant stay here. Gorgeous apartment, quiet, with very modern decor and complete kitchen. Staff is very accommodating to my needs and always replied immediately if I try to contact him. Perfect central location surrounded by great restaurants, also close to the metro. Definitely will come back!

Very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This unit is smaller than we were used to being Australians but by Paris standards I hear this is the norm. Saying that, this was more than enough space for the 4 of us and the apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. And the area was a real treat for any visitors like us.

A cosy little apartment in a beautiful area of Paris. The unit at Madelaine is a great little launchpad for any forays into the big city. Good layout, good location, comfortable and clean. We loved it.

beautiful

cosy, functional, cheap and supremely located. The apartment on rue boissy d'anglas is in an area of such beauty that i cant really describe it. The architecture of the most beatiful area in a truly beautful city was simply stunning. It also has great restaurants and metro access. I cant speak highly enough of the area and the apartments just compliments that brilliantly. A great time.

Map

Car: not necessary

The 8th arrondissement is home to the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, probably the most famous avenue in the world. This is a district where the celebrities of fashion design, painting, cinema and theater are born.

Its western end is bordered by cinemas, theaters, cafés and luxury shops. Near the Place de la Concorde, the street is bordered by the Jardins des Champs-Elysées, beautifully arranged gardens with fountains and some grand buildings including the Grand and Petit Palais on the southern side and the Elysée at its northern end.

The 8th is also home to the Arc de Triomphe, and close to the Trocadero and Palais de Chaillot, Madeleine church, Concorde Plaza, the Palais de la Decouverte, Petit Palais Museum, and the Grand Palais.

One block from the apartment you will find the Village Royal. It is a pedestrian-only street, roughly 80 meters long and 20 meters wide (a meter is about a yard), that extends between rue Royale and rue Boissy d'Anglais in the 8th arrondissement. The apartment Madeleine is situated just one block from this lovely private street, At ground level are chic boutiques ( Dior, Channel, cafe cost etc...) and shops with hand crafted signs in wrought-iron frames. The street, paved in stone and illuminated at night by lantern is serne, safe and spotless. Clearly this is one of Paris most distinguished addresses and it is ideal for a Paris apartment rental whether it is for short term stay or long term stay.

Evenings in the 8th mean a dizzying selection of restaurants and French brasseries, and famous shows like the Lido or the Crazy Horse.

For those coming to Paris on business, you'll be near several business centers, such as Porte Maillot, La Defense, and not far from the Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airports.

Ask us for our professional airport transfer in Paris or for any restaurants recommendation.
