About Stefanie Lawhorn
We only manage a small number of properties, so we can give each the individual attention it and its guests deserve. We would be pleased to host you! The owners of this beautiful house are from Anchorage and currently live in Oregon. They purchased the property many years ago, and have been building this, their dream vacation home, on the site for the past several years. It is recently completed; they have impeccable taste and have made sure it has all the nice details. You will be impressed with the quality they have brought into their little slice of paradise: they care about beauty and details and want to share it with guests who will appreciate the comforts of home they have incorporated.

Why Stefanie Lawhorn chose Cooper Landing
As manager, I am delighted to have this home in my care because of its quality and ambiance. The fact that the owners have put so much personal care into the property and use it themselves when they can makes it feel particularly comfortable to stay in. They care about doing things right and so do I. The owners discovered this piece of land by great coincidence many years ago. Most residents of Southcentral Alaska love Cooper Landing – accessible and central in the vast Kenai Peninsula, surrounded by mountains, rivers, National Forest, and National Wildlife Refuge lands. They have dreams and plans for this space, placed right in the middle of their favorite recreational spaces; it’s exciting for them to share it with you!
What makes this House unique
This home is easy to access, not far from a quietly traveled and well-maintained road, but screened from it by mature spruce forest, mixed with aspen and birch. From the firepit, perched up on the hill, you can hear Bean Creek gurgling by, admire Mount Cecil, and enjoy the small community feel of rural Alaska. It’s a great place to make memories.

This house was an awesome home base for us in Cooper Landing. It was everything we could have wanted and Stefanie is an awesome host.
The property was just right for a family of 6. It had plenty of room for kids & was well stocked with games for down time. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking anything, & we did!
Stefanie was a perfect hostess with great communication via email, phone, & text.
We enjoyed our stay very much & would return another year.
This house is spacious and was located perfectly for us. Kitchen has everything that you need. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean! Wifi is slow, but is normal for that area. A great stay - would definitely recommend and stay there again!
Perfect for our family
The house is super clean and spacious. There is a crazy amount of lights in the living room and kitchen (never seen so many recessed lights in one area!). Overall, the house was perfect for our 3 day stay. It was central, spacious, clean and really well stocked with everything we needed. One of the bed was slightly more droopy and soft, but overall all beds were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need and then some.
We were in the area when the Swan Lake fire was raging but we were lucky not to have been affected by the smoke. I communicated with the owner prior to this and she answered promptly and was very reassuring. I'm very glad we took the risk as it resulted in many precious memories for our family.
Our family really enjoyed the property, Stefanie’s recommendations and booking our excursions were spot on, and our experiences created life long memories our family will always appreciate. We were here during the wildfire, smoke was incredible at times, but the house was comfortable, smoke stayed out, we were able to head to other areas on peninsula and enjoy AK. I look forward to returning to AK and would definitely stay here again!
