This ideal property is right in the heart of town with many beaches easily accessible with a 5-10 minute drive. Enjoy all the excitement and amenities of town while still being able to get to beaches easily and quickly.

House is very airy and sunny and great for family living.

Second floor has central air with window a/c in first floor bedroom. Two ceiling fans for added comfort and circulation. Sleeps eight with two queens, two twins and one regular-sized bed in four bedroms with three baths. Wi-fi accessible with two TVs. One off-street parking spot.

About Michael Wheeler

We have been long-time visitors to Nantucket, starting to vacation here in 1978. We loved the island so much we decided to buy a property as our children were nearing completion of college in 2003.

Why Michael Wheeler chose Nantucket Island

With the location being just 200 steps from one of the main town streets, it takes just minutes walk to get coffee or the papers or to visit the many shops and restaurants in town. The property was also so sunny, airy and roomy compared to many others, we just couldn't resist.

What makes this house unique

Central air on the second floor to be sure you sleep in comfort. In-town location with easy access to beaches and rest of island. Just a short 7-10 minute walk to the ferries, so a car is not required for shorter stays but recommended for periods of week or longer. Gambrel-style architecture with several other interesting features, such as second floor 'cocktail' deck.

This was our second year renting this sweet house and we are already looking forward to when we can get back. It is the perfect house for our family as it is well maintained inside and out, roomy and very comfortable, bright and cheery, has a pretty little garden, and is thoughtfully organized and well appointed with all you need: comfy beds, tons of towels, beach chairs, a cooler, a grill, etc.....the owners have thought of everything. The best part about staying here though is the LOCATION. We LOVE being able to walk out the door and be in town within minutes, whether it's to pick up a yummy acai bowl from Lemon Press in the morning, walk to Cru for dinner, or hit The Juice Bar for an evening treat. We have taken our car with us on both visits (stayed 3 weeks one time) but it isn't necessary for a shorter visit. To top it off, the owners are lovely to deal with. Highly recommend!

After hours spent searching the internet, lucky to find the perfect in-town Nantucket home!

We were looking for a house near all the activities connected to our son's wedding. I had no idea when I booked this beautiful home how perfect it would be! It was literally a short walk to the church, reception, rehearsal dinner, ferry, inns where all the guests were staying, shops, restaurants, the Whaling Museum, and of course, the beaches. PLUS it had that welcoming, "Cape Cod" feel I was hoping for, with lots of light, good screens for the windows, gracious and comfortable rooms, a large dining room table, flowers at both the front and back doors, peonies blooming in the side garden, and a fabulous deck area on the back side. When I discovered after leaving Nantucket that I had left 2 bags at the home, the caretaker immediately found them and got them to friends who were leaving on the ferry the next day. What a relief to have that personal attention! Clearly the owners want those of us who rent from them to have every reason to love their home as much as they do. We would absolutely stay here again.

Additional information about rental rates

Tenant is responsible for full payment of the rental period. In the event of cancellation and the property is re-rented at the same rate, Tenant shall receive a refund less a 15% cancellation fee of gross rental. If cancelled period cannot be re-rented, entire amount collected shall be forfeited.

Tenants can pay by credit card or by check. One-half of rental amount due up front with signed lease to reserve the time. Balance due 45 days prior to occupancy. Refundable security deposit of 10% of rental amount (minimum of $500) due with second payment.

Landlord provides up to 6 hours of cleaning with the rental. Time over the 6 hours charged at $35 hour and deducted from security deposit

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
