About Lisa Bailey

Our names are Scott and Lisa Bailey and we have 2 teenage daughters. We like to go to the beach house as often as possible if it isn't rented. We live in Millersville, PA about 2 and a half hours from the beach.

Lisa Bailey purchased this house in 2014

Why Lisa Bailey chose Rehoboth Beach

This property is a great location for us. It's far enough away to feel like you are in a quiet wooded area and close enough to bike or walk to attractions. We have been coming to Rehoboth Beach for the last 20 years and it has always been our dream to own a beach house!

What makes this house unique

This is our only beach rental property, we aren't a large real estate company and we know the property inside and out. We want all of our guests to have a fantastic time and we will do our best to make sure that happens. Our favorite part of the house is the huge screened in porch. We are out there in the morning with coffee and in the evening with snacks and drinks. We hope you enjoy it as much as us.

Great location...Plenty of room for large families!

  • 5 of 5

We, 4 adults and 5 kids, stayed the weekend of April 22, 2016. It is centrally located between Rehoboth and Dewey Beaches. Located on a quiet street just outside of all the hustle and bustle. The kids loved having the large back bedroom all to themselves. The screened in porch area was very nice to sit and relax in the evenings. The owners were excellent to work with and I would highly recommend staying here to those looking to stay in the Rehoboth/Dewey area. Thanks again!!

Frequent flier!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This place is great. The location is perfect. We prefer a quiet place to stay, away from all of the crowds in town. It is close enough to town to walk or ride a bike. We prefer to go to the beach in the day and then enjoy dinner with friends at the home. It has plenty of space on the enclosed porch to enjoy company for the evening. We have rented this home twice now and are planning on returning again. The home is big enough for a group of people or just two. Our dogs enjoy the screened deck as well. The addition of the dishwasher is great. Love the area and the quiet street. Close to everything but far enough away from the noise and busyness of town.

Perfect getaway :-)

  • 5 of 5

The house is very roomy and clean. The location is very convenient-- near the beach, outlets, shops, great restaurants on Rehoboth Ave. and more! The owners were a pleasure to work with. We look forward to returning soon!

Accommodating owners but not a good space for young children

  • 3 of 5

First of all, it should be noted that we were traveling with 2 small kids (ages 1 & 3). This rental would would be better with older children/teens. This is a double wide stationary trailer so walls are thin which makes naps and early bedtimes difficult.

Positives: Owners were accommodating and offered to purchase a high chair & pack n play for our use when we mentioned we were bringing a baby along! Great large screened in porch and nice outdoor space perfect for grilling.

Downsides: Too far/unsafe to walk with kids to the beach/restaurants (biking would solve this issue!), cleanliness was an issue with young kids playing on the floor, and lack of supplies provided (you really do have to bring dish detergent, laundry soap, toilet paper, all linens, etc.---probably not a big deal for most, but was an added inconvenience when already packing with kids).

Overall, I appreciate their kindness but would not stay here again.

Owner's Response: Hi Heidi...Thanks for your review. I agree with you that walking with a 1 & 3 year old to the beach would not be ideal. We provided bikes for everyone last year and unfortunately at the end of the season they were all destroyed. You need to provide your own linens in most Delaware rentals. I included a recommended packing list (to prevent surprises) but I am sure it still was a lot of packing for a weekend with small children. I hoped that purchasing a new pack & play and high chair for you would have alleviate some of the baggage. I am going to have to disagree with you, I feel it's a great rental for children. There's a large kids' room with toys, games, books and DVDs. We also provide boogie boards, sand toys and beach chairs.

Beautiful and quiet

  • 4 of 5

We always look forward to our beach vacation. Our children join us so it's a family reunion away from it all. We were visited daily by a squirrel stealing pears from the tree and munching them On the porch railing.inside, the house is very roomy and the great big porch was perfect for breakfast and the large family dinners. The room with 4 singles is great! It's not an easy walk to the beach but the parking permit is reasonably priced and it's also an easy bike ride . The proximity to silver lake and Henlopen state park made for awesome bike rides and walks. We had a very relaxing vacation!

family trip

  • 3 of 5

Overall decent place, too far from beach for my family but was nice and quiet. The extra sand toys and boogie boards and chairs was an added bonus! Family requests: dishwasher, sliding door be fixed, some landscaping and most importantly a/c in the 2nd bedroom!

Owner's Response: Hi Abby, Thanks for your review. Yes, I agree with you about the A/C. We are putting in central air in the off season. It will make it much more comfortable. We were considering installing a dish washer but unfortunately there is a not a place for it in our present kitchen. We just got purchased the property and are improving it little by little. Take care, Lisa
