Fine peaceful week in Orleans

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in your house for only a week. we had very good weather most of our time but we also had one day of intense rain.

My wife and I spent much of our time indoors working on books we were writing. We went to the beach only in the late afternoon. We ate out every other night. The house lends itself to work. It's pretty, quiet, has good light and a lot of places to work.

I went for a brief walk almost every morning and evening along the path that leads to the road to Areys Pond. This route is very attractive to birds giving me great pleasure.

We look forward to returning next year.

Wonderful family vacation in Orleans

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed our stay here very much. The house accommodated 4 adult couples fairly well, with some finagling of the kid's room downstairs. It was really the perfect size for us and we enjoyed coming together there from various different parts of the country. We were grateful for the well-supplied kitchen and the wall-mounted AC units which were a god-send since it was so hot the week we were there.

The location is awesome to get to all the places we wanted to see. Skaket and Nauset beaches, which provide very different Cape beach experiences, were just about equi-distant in either direction. We were in a great position to go either direction - up or down the Cape - easily. We enjoyed biking and walking the Rail Trail, Cape Cod baseball games, and stand up paddle boarding on Arey's pond!

When we returned I gave the owner, Anna, my feedback on a few items including the size and comfort of the beds and some dampness on the ground-level of the house (the reasons for my 4-star review) and she was so responsive. She has since acted on all of my suggestions in order to make the place the absolute best it can be for future guests - if that's not a dedicated home away homeowner, then I don't know what else is!! Thanks for the great stay and experience at your house, Anna!

Great house for all generations

  • 5 of 5

This house is in a wonderful location for exploring the cape. The house itself is light and airy, with plenty of room for extended family or extra friends. The basement is almost self contained - a great area for kids, for teenagers or for a separate family. There is a large dining area and deck with table and chairs so plenty of room for everyone to eat together - and a well equipped kitchen - makes eating in a pleasure. Would love to come again - and hope to bring a crowd next time :-)

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Great Cape Cod vibe! My extended family enjoyed this house very much. Well equipped with linens and towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, nice gas grill. Outdoor shower was fantastic..everyone loved it! Great dining area with huge table and plenty of seating. Two bedrooms and a bathroom on each level worked out really well. Great bunk room for young kids or teens. Orleans was very pretty and enjoyable...fun restaurants and ice cream places. Quick drive to both Nauset beach for colder water and waves and Skaket for warmer water and beautiful sand bars. We were a multi-generational group aged 3 - 90 years and everyone had an excellent vacation with this home as our base. Hope to rent this house again!

Great Orleans Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family stayed for 2 weeks in this roomy comfortable home close to biking, kayaking, dining and the wonderful Orleans beaches. The house has all the amenities for a large family and a really handy outdoor shower for sandy kids. The downstairs play area and bunk beds provides some separate space upstairs for relaxing after an active day. The owners have renovated recently and done a great job. We've rented at Orleans for many years in the summer..this house is one of the best...hope to be back again.
