About Tracie prince

My family built this home in 1994. My dad and brother laid the oak hardwood floors throughout the entire main floor and second story. The house is too large for us now and we have decided to open the east wing apartment to seasonal rentals. We have a giant double lot on lake Macatawa with a beautiful yard, beach, docks, patio with fire pit and an indoor heated pool.

There is plenty of room for privacy, or join us for our cook outs and fireworks parties for Tulip Time and Fourth of July!

Why Tracie prince chose West Central

You'll love breakfast at the Dutch bakery and restaurant across the street, Holland state park is less than 5 miles down the street.

Central location

  • 3 of 5

We really liked the central location, being next to a great park and able to walk to restaurants/ice cream. The property was cute and nicely laid out. The first two nights were quite uncomfortable sleeping as the air conditioner wasn't working quite right and the bedrooms were upstairs where it was warmer. They were quick to respond when we contacted them, though, and did get it fixed. The view of the lake is beautiful, although it is not for swimming. Our daughters especially enjoyed the yard.

Beautiful home, however your only staying in a small part of the home.

  • 2 of 5

The house is very beautiful and sits right on the lake, however you are staying on a small wing of the actual home. The wing your staying on is similar to a small townhouse; there is a bathroom, kitchen and small living room on the main floor and there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. There is not much living space in the home which was very disappointing. On the main floor you can walk out into a small balcony that faces the backyard of the home, which is really nice because that is where the lake is. When staying at this home you do have access to the indoor pool which is a very nice feature, however one side of the pool faces the owner's kitchen and they can see you and you can see them which is kind of awkward. They do not have any curtains or drapes in their kitchen so you have a full view of what's going on and vice versa, sometimes it is nice to have some privacy. Also you can tell that many items in the part of the house your staying in are cheap or poor quality such as the kitchen chairs, couch, television, appliances, kitchen counter tops etc. On our second evening staying at the home, the owner's had a get together in the backyard which limited our ability to use the backyard and actually enjoy the lake view. We only tried to contact the owner about 2 or 3 times during our stay and they were not very receptive to our needs. Overall this home is very nice, however it lacks privacy, not the best customer service and lower grade items in the rental part of the home.

Thanks

Owner's Response: Hi Malek It is very disappointing that you did not read the description, rules or procedures for the apartment. I feel everything is clearly stated as far as shared common areas, check in procedures and rules. It was very uncomfortable for everyone when you broke the rules. I had to ask repeatedly that you not smoke the strange smelling substance on the patio. You also chose to use glassware in the pool area. As far as customer service, I answered your call at 8:00pm when you didn't have your door code handy, but did not reply when you texted at 11:00 pm to let me know you were having trouble flushing the toilet. I'm sorry you did not thoroughly enjoy your stay. We try to be upfront with everything so that our guests know what is available. Thank you for the compliments on our home. Tracie

Good for a family

  • 5 of 5

Our experience here was very nice. Although an extension of the home it is very quiet and you feel alone. As mentioned in other reviews Tracie and her family are home often but were friendly and it never interfered with our family time. The pool and playground were perfect for us for the big kids to use while the little kids took naps. The park next door is great and has nice trails and playgrounds. Close to the main town but also 5-10 minutes from the beach. We had a nice time and Tracie was a good owner, answering questions quickly. The place was neat and clean. Would certainly recommend for others looking for a nice getaway.

Reunion stay

  • 4 of 5

What a nice facility. The grandkids favorite part was the pool with a diving board! We did not get to spend much time here-just mainly sleeping and swimming, but it was very convenient to be next to the park. Only thing that would have made it better was laundry facility. Had a great time, and enjoyed our visits with the owner. Thank you!

WONDERFUL STAY :)

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay. It made for the perfect "end of summer" get-away before school started for our family. There was ample room, not only for our family, but also for our boat on the dock. It was so nice not having to put our boat on and off the trailer for the entirety of our stay. We will definitely be back!!
