Beautiful, immaculately-maintained Northwoods cabin on peaceful Crystal Lake in Land-O-Lakes Wisconsin. Cabin has been owned and lovingly occupied by same family for 50 years and is now welcoming renters who will treat it in the same considerate manner. Built in the classic Northwoods style, the cabin has log exterior and knotty pine/natural stone interior with hardwood floors throughout. A 40-foot screened-in porch faces quiet, pristine Crystal Lake. The property is on two acres accessed only by a private road. The view from the cottage is entirely of lake and pine/birch forest - no other cottages visible. The house has two full baths and two bedrooms plus den with sofa bed sleeping a maximum of 6 people. The cottage is well-stocked with bath and bed linens. A fully equipped kitchen was updated in last 5 years. A large, detached garage allows ample room for storage and has new washer and dryer. There is plenty of outside parking space for cars and trailer. A 50-ft dock offers bench seating and access to lake for fishing and swimming plus space for boat tie-up. The cabin is ideal for families or adults looking for a quiet, private retreat.

Great cabin. Just as pictured. Neighbors are all out of sight (which is good). Very nice wood burning fireplace.
We were very excited to visit the Land O Lakes area this August as it was our first time vacationing that far north. Staying at Boo Nana cottage only enhanced our stay and we found it very charming and had that "Up North" feel with modern comforts and a well stocked kitchen. Good sized bedrooms and the den has a pocket door to shut off that room for a third bedroom. Its not always you find more than one bathroom in older cottages but this one has two which is ideal. The porch is nice to sit out on but we found we lived in the living room at night watching the Olympic games.
We Kayaked almost everyday around the lake and enjoyed the eagle family that roosted nearby. The swimming is the only thing that was a bit of a disappointment. There are a lot of weeds so if your squeamish about water weeds bring aqua socks. Once you're out in the water on a float your good. We hardly saw a soul around so it was a very quiet and peaceful visit. Eagle River being close by we went shopping there on a rainy day and found a wonderful candy shop with homemade fudge and salt water taffy. I wouldn't hesitate renting this cottage and wish I could return for fall which Im sure is spectacular.
We've been renting cabins in Northern Wisconsin ever since we sold our own place on the Cisco chain of lakes about 10 years ago. This was one of the nicest we used, or even seen.. Nice location, with considerable privacy. (Cabins on opposite sides were out of site.) Very little road noise. The screen porch is spectacular, every bit as nice as the pictures suggest. The main living area was a large room with a big wood-burning fireplace. Very nice. Kitchen and baths were nice. We didn't use the canoes and kayaks, but they were open an accessible. We tried fishing with a row boat that we borrowed from a neighbor. No luck, but I'm sure that was us rather than the lack of fish in the lake. Our big dog, a shepherd / something mix, had a great time.
We will definitely come back to this cabin, and recommend it to our friends.
This stay met all of our expectations. The cabin had the "up north" look and feel; it is obviously well loved and well taken care of. The location was a bonus, quiet and relaxing. Although we've been coming to the area for years, we had never explored the Cisco chain of lakes. We spent 2 days boating on these beautiful waters. We brought our dog who loved long walks in the surrounding wooded trails and swimming in the lake. And the size of the lake was perfect for kayaking; kayaks and canoe provided. Can't remember a more enjoyable week.
This cabin has a very homey feel to it and is in a great location. You are only a short trip (couple miles) from town, but it feels like you are in the middle of the woods. Crystal Lake is a smaller lake, but it is very peaceful and we caught a lot of fish - blue gills, crappies and lake pearch. If you have anything but a very small fishing boat, you will probably not be able to launch here, but there are many other options (bigger lakes) very close. We used the canoe and kayaks that are provided and it was perfect. We went tubing and boating on Black Oak Lake, which is just outside of town on Hwy B.
The cabin itself was very clean and accommodated 6 people well with plenty of room. Having two full bathrooms was great. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need - there wasn't a single utensil or kitchen tool that I couldn't find and we cooked a lot! The best part of the cabin is the large screened in porch. It was perfect! Great for reading, playing board games and cards and we ate our meals out there as well. There is also a gas grill provided.
A very nice property that is well maintained. Owner is very responsive and gave us good information on things to do, places to eat, etc. Also a bonus that she allows dogs. WE brought ours and they had a blast. She even left us a stack of old towels so we could wipe the dogs feet before the came in. Highly recommended cabin!
Loved this cabin in Land O Lakes. Driving thru the woods up to the cabin was beautiful. Everything just got better when we opened the front door. Gorgeous spot right on the lake. The cabin was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Our favorite was the screened in porch. We ate breakfast there every morning and spent all of our evenings playing games and relaxing. My husband and I and our two sons age 18 & 11 had plenty to do. The boys fished & kayaked every day. Within a half hour we rented a pontoon boat, golfed, biked gorgeous trails, visited Bond Falls in Michigan and even saw a local water ski show. The owner, Susan, was wonderful to work with and quick to respond on any questions we had. We looking forward to visiting the area again! You can't go wrong with this cabin!
