About Joe Clark

We purchased this cabin after retirement so that we could spend more time in the beautiful north Georgia mountains. We had vacationed here for 35 years and loved it. With family close by it was perfect. Our favorite time is summer and fall but we make sure we come up as often as we can

Tranquil retreat

  • 5 of 5

Watched the deer in the morning outside the front window.

This is a quite , gated community. The cabin had all amenities that we needed, a Keurig and WiFi. The kitchen was well equipped. Great room layout , with bathrooms on each floor.

Very clean

  • 5 of 5

First time we rented a mountain house - words can't begin to describe how clean this place is. I have very high standards and this place exceeded my expectations. It is practically brand new. There is absolutely no smell whatsoever, it is so clean and so comfortable. Our family of 4 (adults) had plenty of room - the beds were comfortable, the showers were awesome. We loved the porch with the rocking chairs and the roosters crowing in the distance. We brought a lot of food because the closest grocery store is about 25 minutes away. The kitchen had everything you could ever imagine...and I mean EVERYTHING. The owners were very nice. There is a cleaning fee but it's worth it to know that the place has been cleaned before you arrive. Blueridge Mountains are about 40 minutes away if you want to venture out.

Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Three couples, perfect size and privacy with bedroom and bath on each level. We saw turkeys on the property and deer everywhere. Took in the local sights and restaurants. We all enjoyed our trip and are planning to come back again next year.

Beautiful Cabin

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was beautiful with every ammenity provided. It was clean, comfortable and had southern charm. Our only problem is that is was too far to travel to get anywhere. There was also a mountain with an extremely curvy road to get to many areas like Helen. If you are looking to just stay around cabin it is fine, but if you want to travel around and see things, the mountain is very curvy road and it takes so much time to get anywhere except the town of Blairsville. It would take us a good 45 minutes to an hour to get anywhere so going out for just a dinner in the evening was a chore. We decided not to go out in evening because of the mountain trek and the wild life it was dangerous combination. The huge plus was the cabin and the owners. They were there to answer any of our calls and made us feel welcome. They were always available via phone. I never asked about the roads, regarding that mountain, so part of that is on me. If this cabin were elsewhere I would absolutely return, but it is too far from anywhere so your time is devoured by traveling to and from.... Thank you

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

The Clark's "Home away from Home" is one of the cleanest, most well-stocked homes we have stayed in!! Such attention to detail! We felt welcome from the time we arrived-Beautiful fall mums ("live mums") on the back porch, along with fall decorations through out the home. Thank you for opening your home and being such gracious hosts!! Loved it & would love to return!!
