Great place

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed Cool Waters Farm! The location, the house, the lake across the road for kayaking and fishing (nice to have a fire pit there) make it a great place to stay. CWF was very well equipped with anything we needed and the caretaker was very accommodating. it would be nice to have a better TV set up and some additional channels. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental.

Pretty even in the fall/winter; very comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

What more can I say about this place? Huge property, nifty old barn, comfortable house, everything you'd need. The huge kitchen and 6-burner stove made light work of Thanksgiving dinner for 10. We walked around the grounds a lot ... still a number of apples hanging from the trees and tons of birds, and although it was often grey out, and the leaves were off the trees, there's still something special about the location, and it felt particularly peaceful this trip. Once the long weekend crowds left, it felt like we had the town to ourselves. We will definitely be coming back in the off-season again.

Protip: if you come out this way, you have to stop by Morse's. The reubens are unbelievable, as is the eclectic store full of local goodies and imported, hard to find foodie stuff. All out in the middle of nowhere.

Just wanted to say that we rented this house and had a wonderful experience. Susan was wonderful to deal with and answered all of our question and made sure everything was great. The property was wonderful to walk around...loved the little cabin and the pond...we were so busy we never made it down to the beach but we will have to stay again. The kitchen was wonderful we made food there for our daughters wedding and it was so great to have every thing we needed to cook with, I would love a kitchen like that at home.

Big charming farm house, fully equipped to cook and excellent for relaxing or sporty escapes

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Cool water farms! Bike rides, kayaking, relaxing on the private deck, playing soccer and picnicking in the grass. The house is big, charming and perfect for a big group that likes to cook, barbecue and relax. We loved that the kitchen was fully equipped. The house was clean, functional and unique. It has that country side feel that makes you want to spend time on the deck or read in the grass. Susan made the reservation process super efficient. We're thinking of coming back!

Nice big house for a group; excellent communication

  • 5 of 5

Susan made the booking process go so smoothly and was an excellent communicator at all stages- we appreciated that so much! The house was big and we loved the airy kitchen and gorgeous deck and nice walking path. We stayed here while attending a friend's wedding weekend over the summer and it was a beautiful location. One of the guests had allergies which were bothered by the taxidermy items and carpeted restroom, so if you have allergies you might be mindful of these factors. Would love to see a bit less furniture in the living room so it's easier to spread out and play a game- we ended up using the kitchen and deck instead, which was fine and quite nice! We also used the canoe, berry picking baskets, tips for the lake, etc.- a very relaxing vacation.

What a place!

  • 5 of 5

My mom, husband and two dogs spent a glorious week at Cool Waters Farm! From the enormous kitchen, fruit offerings, comfort of every room and sprawling fields to hike and enjoy the views to the beautiful lake with equipment to use and enjoy! We couldn't ask for a nicer time. We enjoyed picking apples and blueberries and made jam and pies, we hiked and explored the trails, the lake and the orchards daily. We enjoyed cooking lobster, grilling and dining on the deck and exploring the area. My mom was thrilled with Beth's Farm Stand and we all enjoyed the pottery (I'm a potter too) and other shopping in many surrounding towns. A great time and we are definitely committed to returning to Cool Waters Farm!
