Awesome property
Fall is a great time to visit this property! Leaves are in full color and the vast low bush blueberry fields are bright red - a sight to be seen. Many, many apples to be picked and baked for pies, crisps, and dipping in honey. Best farm market in the world is down the street - Beth’s. House is so comfortable and perfect for big groups. Great views from the back deck and the pond is perfect for early morning kayaks when it’s smooth as glass and the loons and bald eagles are out and about. You won’t be at a loss of things to do here!
Lovely views, great farmhouse.
5 adults and 1 child (3yrs old) stayed in beginning of August 2017. House is well equipped inside, with plenty of room to spread out. Loft upstairs has small TV with VHS, and toys for the little ones. Kitchen has everything needed, (except for a regular toaster) and the largest lobster pot ever. Cannot say enough about the comfortableness with a child. Outside has plenty of room for yard games, hiking, and swimming at the lake across the road. Totally enjoyed our stay at Cool Waters Farm.
Thank you Lori!
Good example of maine farmhouse living
We had 6 adults and 2 children stay for a week at Coolwater Farms. The owners were very good to work with and responded quickly to a couple of requests we had. The property is pretty much as advertised. It was warm the week we stayed so we had to have the windows open, and there was some road noise from the road in front of the house. There is plenty of room to park and the kids had ample room to play outside. The lake was nice and the canoe and kayak’s are available as stated. They do have a water softener and on-demand hot water heater so this was a big plus with 8 people wanting daily showers. The taxidermy work on the 1st floor was quite interesting. The location is no more than 2 hours from pretty much everything you would want to see in the Central Maine area. All in all everyone had a good time.
Thanks Dave. We appreciate the feedback!
Great place
We thoroughly enjoyed Cool Waters Farm! The location, the house, the lake across the road for kayaking and fishing (nice to have a fire pit there) make it a great place to stay. CWF was very well equipped with anything we needed and the caretaker was very accommodating. it would be nice to have a better TV set up and some additional channels. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental.
Hi Deb, Thanks for the kind review. We were able to upgrade the cable set up with a full array of channels for the comfort of our guests. Come back anytime!
Pretty even in the fall/winter; very comfortable home
What more can I say about this place? Huge property, nifty old barn, comfortable house, everything you'd need. The huge kitchen and 6-burner stove made light work of Thanksgiving dinner for 10. We walked around the grounds a lot ... still a number of apples hanging from the trees and tons of birds, and although it was often grey out, and the leaves were off the trees, there's still something special about the location, and it felt particularly peaceful this trip. Once the long weekend crowds left, it felt like we had the town to ourselves. We will definitely be coming back in the off-season again.
Protip: if you come out this way, you have to stop by Morse's. The reubens are unbelievable, as is the eclectic store full of local goodies and imported, hard to find foodie stuff. All out in the middle of nowhere.

Just wanted to say that we rented this house and had a wonderful experience. Susan was wonderful to deal with and answered all of our question and made sure everything was great. The property was wonderful to walk around...loved the little cabin and the pond...we were so busy we never made it down to the beach but we will have to stay again. The kitchen was wonderful we made food there for our daughters wedding and it was so great to have every thing we needed to cook with, I would love a kitchen like that at home.
Location
Cool Waters Farm is an ideal spot for couples, groups, or families to relax and rejuvenate. Enjoy the amenities of this rural vacation retreat and use it as a base for exploring the many attractions of the Camden/Rockland area.
