About Evelyn de Gracia

All the way from the town of Isabela, Philippines, God had given me the chance to come to America, (beautiful Hawaii), the land of opportunity, in the 1979. My lucky husband came to the Philippines for the first time and he spotted me (a young, cute and skinny nurse student at that time). He truly saw something special in me. Before you know it, I finished nursing.... then my husband came to take me. We got married and now, we have 2 children a boy and a girl. My son is a Pastor and have 3 grandsons and my daughter is a stay home mom with her 4 year old & 1 month daughter. I love to travel every year with my family. The good Lord truly blessed me in so many many ways!

Great Little Flat in the middle of Everything!

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay in this cute and safe condo! Evelyn was great and very friendly! The place was clean and comfortable! We were walking distance from our meetings at the Hawaiian Conference Center and shopping at the Ala Moana mall! This is really a very fun and convenient location! Great restaurants abound close to here! This is definitely the "city" and has everything that goes along with that! I have no problem recommending this property!

The only reason I don't give 5 stars is for the parking situation. It is metered during the week and sometimes difficult to find if you have a rental car like we did. If you aren't in need of a car and can take an Uber or Lyft you're in great shape!

Good Location away from the crazy tourist centre

  • 5 of 5

Good location. Not far from the airport and walking distance to a few grocery stores and shops. About a 20 minute walk to Waikiki itself. Apartment is spacious and has everything you need. Only watched tv once and the channel selection wasn't great, but you don't go to Hawaii to watch tv! Evelyn was prompt to meet me and able to answer questions when I had them. If you rent a car you can park for free on the street after 6pm and before 7am. If you need to leave it during the day I did find free street parking a couple of blocks away behind the walmart. Worth the walk as the meters ont the meters on the street are a max of 2 hours during the day (sundays are free all day). I would stay again. Thank you!

A beautiful time in Hawaii

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted with our two month stay at this studio condo in Ala Moana. It was perfect for us. We were a 20 minutes walk from Ala Moana Beach Park where we swam every day in the early morning hours and returned to see the sunset from Magic Island. Bus lines to Waikiki and the University and pretty much to the rest of the island were very close! A very large supermarket DON QUIJOTE is a block away. And if you don't find what you need there you have all of the ALA MOANA SHOPPING CENTER 5 minutes away. Looking for a quick bite to eat, LIKE LIKE DRIVE INN is the place to go for local likes. There are so many places in the area to choose from. And don't hesitate to call on Evelyn for any needs or problems. Thank you so much, Evelyn.

A comfy apartment away from tourist crowds

  • 5 of 5

This nice apartment soon became a home away from home. I enjoyed that it was situated close to a variety of Bus routes, as well as right next to the quixotic grocery/department building, appropriately titled "Don Quixote", where practically anything you needed could be found. And, only 4 blocks from Ala Moana Shopping Ctr, which also had a major supermarket, Food Court, and many restaurant options. The kitchen was well equipped for one person, although an upgrade in the stove would improve the cooking experience. Loved the little balcony, where one could see the sun set, and enjoy the fresh air also in the apartment. With a bus pass, I could access any part of this lively city, and visit Waikiki when I wanted to experience the beaches, crowds and more shopping. Evelyn, as many reviewers have already mentioned, was always at the ready for any problems that arose. On my last day there, for instance, when the TV apparently expired, she ordered a new, much larger TV, and her husband and son installed it that very afternoon! All in all, my first extended visit to Honolulu was very delightful, and I would happily return to this apartment in the future.

Honolulu Gem.

Fantastic. First off, the owner is terrific, she is first class all the way and really strives to make sure your taken care of from start to finish. She's a wonderful person and has a great business demeanor that makes you feel comfortable with the booking, paying, staying and check out. She met me in the lobby with the keys, a smile and total Aloha spirit. Thanks again Leonor! She had cold drinks in the fridge adn the place was good to go with basic supplies and amenitites. I stayed here on business and worked long days, was so nice to come back here and feel relaxed in a clean and comfortable place. (Btw, rarely did I hear any loud traffic or firetrucks, all was nice and quiet for the most part). The place has all you need and is actually quite spacious, particularly the living area and lots of closet room. Nice remodel on certain things. Floor, paint, bathroom (Very nice and shower head is awesome) . A/C works good, plus she has extra fans to cool you down if hot. Pot's pans, supplies, good sized referigerator if cooking and eating in. Plenty of places to find food and supplies around the area too (Basically in the Lobby or about a block away. A nice view looking North and West with a small Lanai (balcony) too, which is great in the morning with coffee or evening to cool down. The Bed and pillows were very comfortable for me too. Really a great stay. Maybe it's not a 5 star resort, but this place is nice for where it's at and you'll be very happy with it. Didn't get a chance to jump in the pool, but can see it from the Lanai, looks clean and well kept. Leanor keeps plenty of towels, soap, shampoo etc on site that your welcome to use, as well as delicious coffee, sugar, creamer etc. All in all, super happy. (Yes, also beach chairs, towels etc for use). Leanor treats you like family and she is a terrific person, as she runs a nice business and I can tell she's a genuine, caring person. She gives you her number and will answer her phone, call you back, text or email you back promptly. Yes, rent this little gem and save some $, you will be happy you did. Btw, this place is also very, very close to the Ala Moana shopping complex and area, plus just minutes away from Waikiki beaches and restaruants. It was great for me as I used Uber a lot and the area wasn't as traffic filled as the Tourist / beach / hotel area would be. I'll stay here again on my next visit. Keep those cold ones in the fridge for me ! :)
