Waialua Condo Rental Photos and Description

Spectacular Ocean View Fom Beachfront Condo

Spectacular 180 degree unobstructed ocean view from your bedroom and living room, located on an uncrowded stretch of beach where you can walk for miles and miles or swim, snorkel and kayak in calm waters that are protected by an off shore reef. The charming town of Haleiwa is only a few minutes away and filled with local style and country ambiance as well as cool surf shops and boutiques, local restaurants and art galleries.

The apartment is very spacious, 860ft², and has everything you need for a home away from home, including flat-screen TV, WiFi, full kitchen amenities, plenty of towels, linens, coolers, beach chairs, fans, also a washer/dryer in the unit and an assigned covered parking spot.

The building has an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach, a natural salt water pool and hot tub, where you can cool off from sunbathing or warm up after a long snorkel trip. There is a barbecue area with two large gas grills, tables and chairs for a perfect ocean front dinner at sunset.

The north shore of Oahu offers an extraordinary landscape, ambience and charm, world-renowned surfing, shopping fun, unique local cuisine and tropical nature.

In the winter months you can see whales right from your window and throughout the year turtles that feed on the reef only a few meters from the beach. Sometimes they come ashore to bask in the sun.

Please note that our condo is located in a quiet residential area and we respectfully ask our guests to observe house rules and posted notices, including pool hours and a non-smoking environment. Mahalo.

If you are looking for a place to stay on Oahu, away from from the traffic and crowds, this is your place. If you are looking for a quiet retreat where your view and surroundings soothe the soul, this is definitely your place.

The picture that you see here is the same picture you will take at least a dozen times because you can't believe the beauty of the view - a whole wall of beach and ocean to loose yourself in. The turtles were in the water by the shore - just amazing.

The condo was very quiet, clean and comfortable. All the appliances, dishes, pots pans and utensils make dining-in very easy.

The location is a short drive to Haleiwa where we enjoyed several meals. We LOVED it here and would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Dave and Anke for offering this condo!!

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We came to Hawaii with one other couple and walked into a perfect place to stay for the week. The Condo had everything we needed.

We loved being out of the city and and enjoyed the quiet North Shore.

We kept the sliding door open most of the time and enjoyed listening to the ocean.

We saw lots of turtles!

The beds were a little hard for us but that is just our opinions. The listing says 2 bedrooms which it is, but one room is a slider wall that opens up to the bedroom and living room. It still worked out fine and we had no problems.

Thank you for a great stay in Hawaii. We will definitely recommend this place to friends!

Great Room!

  • 4 of 5

I want to start by stating that my stay was GREAT and the rooms view was spectacular. The room did however get uncomfortably hot during the day, especially because it rained most of the days of our trip and were unable to leave the windows open while we were gone. During the night, the bedroom looking over the ocean had an amazing breeze and was high enough that I didn't feel like beach walkers were looking into the unit.

This unit does have people above and below. Ours were very quiet. Couldn't hear a thing except the ocean and the occasional kid at the pool.

The pictures of the unit make it hard to really tell. The master bedroom is the one looking at the mountains. It has its own bathroom. The light in the master blew but we weren't using it so we never reported it. The bathrooms were the main reason I give 4 stars (along with the other negatives listed). Showers had low water pressure, water rings in the tubs where the water sits when someone gets out, and one tub looked as though someone dropped a turned on power sander in it and walked away for a bit while it flipped around. Personally, it did not make us feel like a romantic bath was in the cards...

The pictures of the unit, IMO, made me believe the ocean bedroom was a separate room. It is actually attached to the living room with sliding doors as the divider. This for us wasn't a big deal as we were the only ones in our unit, but if you are parents and wanted to lock yourselves away from the kids for the evening, you would have to use the back master instead of the nice ocean breeze room. The sliding door has a divider on the floor that was the most annoying part of our stay. Countless times we stubbed toes and tripped on it. Even knowing that it is there... it is high enough that you really have to pick your foot up to cross it.

Be aware that trash is a chute in the middle of the building that is only open certain times of the day. This was also an issue for us being that during the day you are usually out exploring. If you don't make it back, then you have to deal with trash that was in the heat of the room all day.

I realize I am stating some negatives, I just want people to be aware of the stuff I noticed.

Parking is also difficult. We had a Jeep Compass and while you can get it into the spot... you have to back up as far as the car can go to get to open the driver door. you will only be opening one side comfortably. Should trade with someone who only has bike

An absolute gem!

  • 5 of 5

Turtles, spectacular view, all the comforts of home, great location! Just as advertised. The parking spot is narrow. . but street parking is plentiful. The unit itself is very nice. Boogie boards, fins, beach towels all provided (plus the kitchen is fully stocked so cooking was easy). Having the washer and dryer was a great bonus. The beach is right outside the window - and there were so many turtles it was awesome. The neighbors were nice and respected the quiet time rules, which made it great to sleep with the windows wide open and sleep to the sounds of the surf. Wi-fi was provided as well. Check out the Wailua Sugar Mill - local business, no crowds, shave ice!!! Also the Beachfront Restaurant in Haleiwa. I've already recommended this unit to a couple of friends, and we will be back -- great experience and the great value made for a relaxing vacation!

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

You cannot ask for a better location than this condo!!! It has breathtaking views and you can experience the North Shore. We were able to take advantage of the beach front right outside of the condo, as well as the pool. You are within 7 minutes from Haleiwa. We enjoyed escaping the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and other crowded tourist locations. The laundry was a wonderful amenity to have in the condo! I cannot say enough about the amazing views.

We went during an unusually hot and humid time (due to a tropical storm). The condo did get a bit warm and humid. There were 4 fans that were in the condo and we did have them all running to stay cool. I would imagine that this was a unique issue due to the unusual weather and we were there in the middle of July. We did have a smaller SUV rental car (Jeep Compass). The provided parking spot is narrow. We ended up parking there only a few times as there was usually ample, close parking on the street. The neighborhood was nice and safe!

Hard to find many complaints when you can sit at the patio table and watch many sea turtles while you eat though!!

Wonderful North Shore Condo!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the beautiful ocean views, right on the beach, sea turtles that come out of the ocean right onto the beach and snorkeling. The unit had everything we needed and is close to North Shore attractions. Great value!

Beautiful Condo, great location ...Paradise

  • 5 of 5

The place is absolutely beautiful and makes you feel right at home. We loved the apartment!! Where else can you see the ocean from your bed, can never get enough of that view.Everything was clean and nicely kept.... cannot wait to go back. The beach is right behind the property, we met some lovely neighbors and watched the turtles. The place is peaceful and serene , in fact we're ready to move in :) ...away from the action, yet close enough to get everywhere. Mahalo Anke and Dave for one of the best weeks ever.

I saw someone mentioning the dogs that live nearby. We never heard them but met some as well as their lovely guardians. I truly appreciated living in a small community rather than a hotel. Hoping to come again some day soon!!
