Livable Space Plus in Great Location

  • 5 of 5

This apartment consists of a living room, bed room, kitchen and bathroom, all separated. Everything is there that you are likely to want, including a number of extras not mentioned in the VRBO listing, such as a more than sufficient amount of all paper goods (we did not have to buy anything), condiments, travel books, lots of sheets and towels. In short, it was very easy to stay here. The Wifi works well, the refrigerator is full-size, a drainage rack above the sink (very clever), ... you get the idea.

One of the reasons I chose this property was location. You are within short walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, a major bus stop (Corso/Minghetti), and shopping too. And yet, it is set in a relatively quiet location, for central Rome.

What more can you ask?

The perfect retreat for a couple

  • 5 of 5

We look for three things - king bed, stall shower, quiet. This offers all three and much more - tasteful furnishing, air-conditioning, well-equipped kitchen. It is also conveniently situated so an active person can walk anywhere. It is five minutes from the Pantheon for example. There are many restaurants, pizzerias, bars close by, and the friendly owner makes excellent recommendations. The building is old but well-maintained. There is an elevator but the apartment is just one flight up. We have no reservations and look forward to returning.

Great apartment - Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is simply lovely. It is well equipped, clean and close to all the major attractions of Rome - an easy walk to The Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Trastevere and more. The beautiful towering ceilings and bright rooms all added to the overall experience. In addition, it is close to great coffee, gelato, and restaurants. The owner provided a wonderful list of good restaurants, information on transport, great walks within Rome and, food markets. The well equipped roomy kitchen was great enabling us to 'do our own thing' depending on what the mood was, that is, either stay in and cook or go to one of the great nearby restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this apartment.

The Perfect Apartment From Which to Explore Rome

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was the perfect choice for the two of us for several reasons. Firstly, it is a true home in that it is beautifully furnished, totally comfortable and fully equipped with whatever you might need, There is a lot of hot water for showers; the bed is wonderfully comfortable, the kitchen has everything; the building and area are completely safe- and all this in a lovely historic18th century building with an elevator. Perhaps more important, we found the location to be ideal as it is in the very heart of Rome's historic center from which you can walk virtually anywhere. You are just around the corner from the Pantheon, which becomes more majestic every time you happen upon it. And the icing on the cake was surely our hosts, who are from Rome but live in San Francisco. They were as gracious and helpful as could be, going out of their way to make sure all was well. They recommended less frequented sites to see, restaurants to visit, supermarkets for supplies, and explained details about the apartment (heat, air-conditioning, garbage, etc.) that made our stay easy and effortless. The restaurant recommendations were particularly wonderful and to my taste- simple and real yet elegant, with great food. We were there for two and a half weeks in October and I was so very sad to leave. I would never consider staying anywhere else in Rome.

Elegant, Airy, Luxury Pied à Terre

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this lovely apartment for three weeks in June 2015 and highly recommend it. The location is very central but on a quiet, historically important square, about midway between the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. It's hidden away from the masses of tourists in summer. The square is flanked with gorgeous architecture, restaurants and patrolled by the national guard. A minibus that winds its way to the Campo dei Fiori stops within a few yards of the front door. The position of the apartment is shielded from street noise; the building itself is of the highest quality, with thick walls and an elevator, safe and well maintained. The ceilings are very high and the enormous casement windows in every room let in glimpses of sky and cornices, light and breezes. The air conditioning when I needed it was excellent. There's a small eat in kitchen, well equipped, but the only thing I used was the Nespresso machine. The owner is a surgeon in San Francisco who speaks fluent English and keeps this luxury property as a pied à terre. The apartment is managed locally by his long term housekeeper who is always available. They went out of their way to accommodate my every need; even doing my laundry and arranging a car to the airport. I still dream about this place; an extraordinary experience.
