Lovely, quiet location with ocean views
Perfect Aquinnah spot - walking distance to lobsterville beach and a ten minute walk to Menemsha Pond (perfect for kayacking) and bike ferry to the seafood markets, restaurants and beaches of Menemsha. It's the quiet part of the island, which was just what my party was looking for at the height of the season. The owners were lovely and accomodating - great folks!
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
This beach house has it all. It’s charming, comfortable and perfectly situated to take advantage of everything that Aquinnah has to offer. Lobsterville, one of the best fishing beaches on the island, is across the street. Menemsha Pond, the perfect spot for swimming, sailing, kayaking and clamming, is a short bike ride away. The Gay Head lighthouse and dramatic clay cliffs are just a mile up the road. We loved it all, but our favorite spot was the ocean beach. We took advantage of the house's access to private parking at Philbin Beach, and enjoyed many afternoons of swimming, surfing and relaxing.
The house was perfect for our family of five. We enjoyed the open floor plan in the living/dining/kitchen area and the screened-in back porch was a great spot for TV watching and game playing. Large windows provided plenty of cross breezes.
The house has incredible water views too. I think we spent as much time on the wrap-around deck as we did inside. The two upper decks are great. We loved having morning coffee on the front balcony as sun rose, and cocktails on the back deck as the sun set. What an incredible spot!
