About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 1/2 Bathroom, On A Private Ranch With Mountain Views

Canyon Creek Ranch is a private ranch in the heart of Paradise Valley. Located in Tom Miner Basin, this ranch is private yet conveniently located close to Yellowstone National Park, Livingston, Bozeman, and many popular southwest Montana destinations. Five miles up Tom Miner Creek road, this private ranch has 360 degrees of unobstructed mountain views. Tom Miner Basin borders Yellowstone National Park, which lends to easy wildlife viewings minutes up the road.

The Ranch is separated from the main dirt road by a long, private drive. After driving over Tom Miner Creek, pass by the corrals and barns which at times are filled with horses. Upon arriving at the house, walk past the garage and admire the ponds which mirror surrounding mountain ranges.

The front porch is arguably the best part of the house. Sit, relax, breathe, and take in the amazing views of Tom Miner Basin! Bar-b-que some steaks and bring them on the front porch for dinner with an amazing view!

The porch entrance leads to the main living space. A rock fire place will keep the chill off during breezy summer nights or keep the home toasty in the early spring and fall. Relax in a chair or on the comfy leather couch. Attached to the living space is a breakfast nook and full stocked kitchen.

The west side of the house sports the master bedroom and the queen room. A full bath with a tub, separate shower, and a sink for him and her. All bedrooms have scenic views and have dressers, closets, and comfy mattresses.

The library and second queen bed with a full bath is on the east end of the house. The library has a full couch and plenty of space for a blow up mattress and extra sleeping space for kids or a couple. The library also has a majestic desk with a comfortable chair for anyone who needs to do a few office tasks.

Separating the east from west wings of the house is the laundry facilities and half bath. There is also an extra refrigerator for beverages or extra provisions. Perfect for large parties!

The Great Room and entry closet are locked off and are full of the owner's personal belongings. Please respect the home owner's privacy and do not try and enter these spaces. Any sign or evidence of doing such will result in a forfeit of the damage deposit.

Incredible location, very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The location is stunning, perfect if you want to be well away from others and have an incredible view. The house is quite comfortable, casual, and not at all ostentatious. The 30-minute drive to Gardner and the park entrance is worth every minute.

Beware that there isn't a landline, the satellite Internet is slow and unreliable, and AT&T cellular isn't in range (though I'm told Verizon is). But these inconveniences were slight, and it was great disconnecting the family from the cloud.

Great Place to Get Away and Enjoy the Outdoors

  • 5 of 5

On a trip where we visited Yellowstone, we decided to find a place to stay outside the park, where we would have a little break from all the sightseeing. This cabin was perfect, as it was only about 25 minutes from Gardiner (and the north park entrance), but felt like it was in the middle of nowhere (in a good way).

The cabin sits in an area of ranches, so houses are few and far between. Once we got on the property, and got settled, we really did not ever want to leave. The view from the front porch is amazing, and we spent hours just sitting out there enjoying the mountains and the breeze, and watching the occasional deer go by.

The cabin itself has plenty of room, with big leather chairs and couches, a dining table big enough for 8, and 3 nice bedrooms, plus a back den that makes a nice place for any teen that needs their space.

This is really a place set up to just relax. Dont expect a big TV or streaming cable, etc. There is internet that allows for emails, browsing etc. And there is a smaller TV with a video library. But other than that, the real purpose is to take a break from consuming media and just rest. The place was perfect for that, and we would come right back to it if we were ever out that way again. Of the 5 homes we stayed in during our 3 week vacation, this was our favorite.

Wonderful Cabin in Paradise Valley

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) had a perfect week long stay at the cabin. We loved sitting on the front porch and reading, relaxing and enjoying the view. The house had everything you could possible need. The cabin is in a remote location and we loved it! We stocked up on groceries and had most meals at the house. We went in to Yellowstone several days for hiking and fishing and also had two great hikes on the trails near the Tom Miner Campgound about 10 minutes from the cabin. The agent, Tanya, was extremeley helpful and attentive. We can't wait to go back!!!

Relaxing country home

  • 4 of 5

We just stayed here and it was great! The house is large enough for two families or 4 couples. They kept the place stocked with all kinds of little amenities that made it feel like home...bath salts, sunscreen, bbq with propane, etc. They even had an entire closet stocked with toys, puzzles and books for the kids! The property is remote and so you have to like the quietness of the country to enjoy this property. My 5 & 9 year old really enjoyed this place, especially feeding the trout in the pond with crickets they found and making 'beaver houses' by the creek. We enjoyed hiking around the property and playing near the river and then taking day trips into Yellowstone and rafting and fishing on the Yellowstone River. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star rating was that there were some kinks being worked out, as this is the first year that it's been rented. But the agent was very attentive and great to work with so all in all, this place is a winner and highly recommended! I would warn you though, that we found 3 rattlesnakes on the property so, just be aware and you'll be fine.
