Bogue Banker, a classic one level beach cottage on pilings, was built in 2014 and is situated in a quiet neighborhood on the oceanside of Emerald Isle. Our home features 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, and is a short 120 yard walk to the ocean access which is right at the end of our street. Since we are on the south side of Emerald Drive, there are no busy streets to cross to get to the beach!

Bogue Banker is surrounded by live oaks and features a large, private 30' x 14' pool (open May-September), outdoor shower, a covered front porch, and a rear screened porch and deck that overlook the pool. The high speed wireless internet allows to you stay in touch with the 'real' world as you are relaxing in paradise. You can lounge in the rocking chairs on the front porch or take a short stroll to the beach and play in the surf. At Bogue Banker, the quiet neighborhood and the sound of the nearby ocean is all you need to have a relaxing vacation.

Our home has a center vaulted great room with an open living/dining/kitchen area and plenty of room for you and your guests to spread out. Bedroom #1 is a master suite with a king-sized bed, private bath (shower), and a flat screen TV. Bedroom #2 also has a king-sized bed, semi-private bath (shower), and flat screen TV. Bedroom #3 has a queen-sized bed and flat screen TV. Lastly, Bedroom #4 is for the kids with a double bed, a twin bunk set and flat screen TV with built-in DVD player. Bedrooms #3 & #4 share a large Jack and Jill bathroom with two sinks and a bathtub/shower combination.

Pool area: An outside hot/cold shower with dressing area and 1/2 bath make lounging by the pool convenient and easy.

Additional amenities include: High Speed Wireless Internet Access, 5 Color Cable TVs, DVD Player (2), Covered Parking, Dishwasher, Refrigerator with attached icemaker, Central Air/Heat, a Washer/Dryer, Portable Crib, an Enclosed Hot/Cold Outdoor Shower, Gas Grill, and Open & Covered Decks with Porch Furniture.

Bed Linens & Towels Provided with Beds Made - WEEKLY STAYS ONLY UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.


SUNDAY TO SUNDAY rental dates during the busy May to September season helps you avoid the island traffic that occurs on Saturdays when most other properties have guests checking in or out! Rents weekly from May through September and during holiday weeks.

Three night minimum stays available in the off season October through April and during non-holiday weeks - 3 night minimum required - inquire for rates.

About Owner/Manager

Dan and Karen and their three children live in the Piedmont Triad of NC, approximately 3 1/2 hours west of Emerald Isle. We love coming to the beach and are excited about sharing our dream home with you!

Why Owner/Manager chose Emerald Isle

After renting beach homes for years for annual summer vacations with our extended families and visiting beaches all up and down the NC coast, we finally decided to take the plunge with building our own beach home and feel very fortunate that we have been able to do so. We chose Emerald Isle because we think this is the best and most beautiful beach in North Carolina! We purchased our lot at the end of 2012, and construction started in 2013. Bogue Banker was finished in early 2014 and our builder did a wonderful job. Our neighborhood is fantastic - quiet with tree-filled lots and private homes. We are an easy walk or bike ride on the town bike path to Emerald Isle's town center for ice cream or shopping (less than 1 mile to the west) or to the public boat launch area for fishing or crabbing (less than 1 mile to the east). And we love the local area - Morehead City, Beaufort, and Swansboro are easy drives and great towns to visit. We also love renting a pontoon boat to take on a day trip through the sound out to Cape Lookout, with a stop along the way at Shackleford Banks to see the wild horses! And, did we mention that the beach access is right at the end our our street? It's an easy, two minute walk down our quiet street and over the dune walkway to the beautiful beach!

What makes this house unique

We built, furnished and outfitted our home with all the features and items that we have enjoyed and found comfortable in all the various beach homes that we have rented throughout the years. We are avid cooks, and especially love to entertain and eat together as a family using fresh seafood and fruits and vegetables from local markets. We outfitted the kitchen with everything that you should need - great non-stick cookware, plenty of knives and utensils, and lots of plates, bowls and serving pieces - better than what you will find in most beach houses! We have also provided lots of seating around the large dining room table and the breakfast bar for your family gatherings to help make your own special memories.

Perfect Vacation House!

This was the perfect vacation house for our trip to Emerald Isle. It was our first time to the N. Carolina coast and we had a great time! It was also the first time our whole family had been together in almost 2 years. The layout is perfect for the 5 adults and 3 kids that stayed. This house had everything we needed and them some. The pool is tremendous plus, especially for the kids. The house is well equipped and very clean upon arrival. The proximity to the beach was great. We walked down there almost every day. Thanks so much to the owners for a wonderful vacation! Whenever we return to the NC coast, this is where we will want to stay!

We keep returning to 108 Craig on Emerald Isle because we can always depend on this beautiful, comfortable, very clean and well-equipped property for a relaxing vacation. The proximity to the Atlantic is an easy stroll and the salt water pool is a family fun favorite. Thanks for sharing, D& K!!

The house was great. The layout really worked out well for the 6 adults & 2 children. We were very impressed with the kitchen & how well it was stocked with cooking utensils. The walk to the beach was even shorter than anticipated. Would love to come back some day.
