Along with a beautiful chef's kitchen, a powder room is located on the first floor.

Wonderful Charleston Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Two couples spent three nights in this fabulous cottage on Charlotte Street. It is gorgeous, immaculate, and has everything a guest could desire right down to farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator. Every detail has been carefully thought out and it all was so wonderful we hardly wanted to leave though we were there for the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) so did make an effort to attend at least some of the events! The location is perfect as it is a lovely residential area and easy to walk everywhere. Thank you so much Ann and Fred for an excellent visit!

Beautiful, modern, clean house with great owners.

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sarah Clifford Guest House. Ann and Frank were excellent hosts and we would definitely stay here again. We arrived and found milk, coffee, eggs, water and more in the fridge, along with many other things in the house that were stocked for us. We could have almost left our suitcases at home! Truly a wonderful experience.

Lovely home, and excellent location!

  • 5 of 5

Ann and Fred were perfect hosts. They were available, but allowed us complete privacy. Not only was the carriage house beautifully restored, in an excellent location, they had all of the small details/extras prepared for our arrival. I would absolutely recommend this property to my family and friends. Cheers!

Charleston's Best

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic, scrupulously clean guest house that is well situated for accessing all that Charleston has to offer. The incredible restaurants and bars of Upper King Street are just blocks away, and the city's famous Battery, City Market and East Bay attractions are within a 20-minute stroll.

The home itself is stunning: stylish rooms, an amazing kitchen with everything you could need, plush beds, beautiful bathrooms, all surrounded by restful gardens redolent with the scent of Confederate Jasmin. The owners, Ann and Fred, are terrific. They are super friendly, quick to respond to text or email inquiries, and go out of their way to provide the best possible experience for their guests. (For example, my twin sister and I were in Charleston to celebrate our birthday, and Ann and Fred surprised us with a lovely bottle of Rose while we were dining at The Macintosh one evening--so thoughtful!)

Our family always stays in HomeAway or AirBnB-type rentals when we travel, and this Charleston home is, hands down, the best house we've ever stayed in. Can't recommend it highly enough.
