About Ruth

We are 2 families that love to be together and realized that having a place large enough to accommodate us would be a dream come true. After building this home we wanted to share the beauty and allow others to come and enjoy their time with family and friends.

Ruth purchased this estate in 2012

Why Ruth chose Central Coast

Hope's Place is very secluded. Our place allows you to bring all your friends and family and just relax. We don't count the number of cars you bring, so if you have several people coming from different areas, you don't need to shuttle them in.

We have plenty of parking!

What makes this estate unique

When you walk into the estate home you get that 'awww' feeling - that, everything is right in the world feeling. You can truly relax and be at peace. When you step out on the back porch and see the view of the lake and the deer roaming the hillside - you know life is good. Don't forget - you can bring your dogs and know that they will have fun too!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Loved it!!! I had such a great time and it is gorgeous. We hiked, listened to music, ate, spent time with loved ones. I hope to return in the summer and go to the lake. The house is beautiful and the views are spectacular. I highly recommend this place.

An amazing place to stay near Lake Nacimiento

  • 5 of 5

Over the four brief days we had to enjoy this amazing estate we could not have been more pleased. Our group size changed each during the course of our stay, and the way the home-estate is oriented made it very conducive to variable sleeping arrangements. The view is stunning, and everything about this home is set up for folks who want to be comfortable and entertained. On our final night we barbecued steaks (purchased from the ever-amazing local Oak Hill Market butcher) for 24 of our family, and found everything one could imagine to entertain this large group. It should also be noted that the owner was an absolute delight, even though we were never able to actually meet her.

A Good Choice!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 3 year-old, and I stayed here along with my parents and siblings and their family. This home worked extremely well for us! My brother and his family stayed in the nanny unit which gave them the perfect amount of privacy while still staying with us. The kitchen, eating area and family room were the perfect size for our party. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silver ware, wine glasses and everything you needed to make all of your meals. There was a griddle and waffle iron for breakfast. The patio provided a beautiful view. And as another reviewer noted, the location is a perfect distance from town and winery's! I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to friends!

Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great, well-equipped, comfortable home with plenty of room for our large family! The house is situated on a hilltop with a great view of the lake and rolling hills. The nighttime sky was an amazing natural fireworks display. We saw shooting stars, a comet, and, of course, the Milky Way. The house was in a great location for the wineries and short distance to downtown Paso Robles. Homeowners were great to work with.

The most AMAZING vacation ever!

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed our time here. There was plenty to do on the property for all! We even had a family of deer come almost up to the back porch!! During the day a few went wine tasting (lots of wineries in the area) and others headed out onto the lake for some wake boarding. We enjoyed having many meals with room for everyone and then went up to the barn at night to watch a movie on the big screen up on the stage. This was a vacation we will all remember! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful, Amazing, and by far my Favorite place!!!

  • 5 of 5

This property is amazing! When you pull through the gates and drive down the hill to the house you feel like you are truly away from it all! Walking into the house everything was perfect!! The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and serving dishes you could need. We laughed that they even had a Kitchen Aide mixer on the counter.

The view is spectacular! Walking from the barn back to the house at night was probably my favorite thing. To see the stars so clearly was something I never get to see in the city. It was so peaceful.

The kids had a great time down on the "sport court" playing Cowboy golf. We also brought a few bikes for the kids to ride back and forth between the barn and house and they had a blast!

I highly recommend this beautiful ranch getaway!
