Deer Valley is of course one of the premier resorts in the country, but our proximity to Old Town, is what sold us. We love the historic, miners feel, and its contrast to the luxury of DV. The bars and food are just plain fun, and the kids are never lacking in things to do around town. Pinnacle town-homes also happen to be some of the most spacious units in all of Deer Valley, and that was a huge draw as well. We are able to bring in family and friends from both coasts, and sleep up to 18 people! The cousins talk about our place endlessly, and everyone always leaves wanting more!

Great house for large family vacation!
This was the perfect house for our family of 3 generations - 12 people. There was space to spread out, each bedroom had its own bathroom and all six grandchildren could be together in a great bunk room. Our favorite space was the expansive kitchen with a huge round table for 12 with a large lazy susan making meal time easy and fun.
We loved the location of the house for skiing. Close to town and Park City and a stones throw from Deer Valley. Larry made access and arrangements easy and we’re ready to lease again and go back!
Spring Break with friends
We had a wonderful stay with a group of 13. 6 adults and 7 kids. Lovely home with lots of space for a big group. The kids loved the giant bunk room and the adults loved the sunken living room and the huge kitchen for everyone to hang out in. The location was perfect. You can use the free Deer Valley shuttle to get to skiing and you're a 5 minute car ride into town. For future guests, I would suggest bringing plastic cups for the kids and a cutting board. We couldn't find any in the house.
It's great to hear you had a wonderful stay. Yes, the location is super convenient for catching the shuttle to skiing or to Old Town. We had multiple cutting boards and plenty of plastic cups in the property three weeks ago. I'm not sure what happened, but we will replace those right away. We hope you can visit again soon.
Great Place to Stay
We had a group of 13 and the house was perfect for us. Lots of space and plenty of beds. The kitchen table was large enough for us to eat there. The property management company was very helpful in getting us set up. We will be back for sure
Great DV Option for a Group
We've stayed in lots of properties in lower Deer Valley and this one is among our favorites. It had a great layout for four families with several kids. The kitchen/dining arrangement and gear made dining at home fun. The location is really easy for both mountain and town. This is a great property.
Well, it looked good in the photos.
It’s rare to see a place pictorially depicted as shining and arrive to a far different story. This once-lovely townhome has simply not been well maintained. It was not clear who was at fault, the owner or the company tasked with care-taking, but the sum total of our experience is to recommend you stay away from this place.
Firstly we found the heating system kaput. Banging and screaming pipes were actually the highlights, as when these sounds went away, so did the heat. Utah at 12 degrees outside quickly finds its way inside, and the bottom two floors of this place reached down into the forties during our stay. It took numerous calls to get their attention and the serviceman finally concluded all of the circulators need to be replaced. The drains in several of the showers were clogged.
Carpeting is old and dingy, towels are torn and ratty. The decks are covered with four feet of snow rendering the grill unusable. These decks had not been shoveled in recent memory.
The hot tub looked like a science experiment left over from Louis Pasteur. He would have run away screaming from the green, slimy and odiferous miasma we found when lifting the cover to that tub.
We didn’t go in search of and pay a premium for a ski chalet to be confronted with this portfolio of deferred maintenance items. There are many other responsible owners in Deer Valley from whom to rent a chalet.
Every once in a very rare while, you get a guest who demands payment to not write a bad review It's a disappointment when this guest then posts lies that do not align with past guests experiences and comments. This guest wrote an email threatening a bad review unless we refunded him a large portion of his payment. He cited concerns that never made it in to his review because they were conceived in an effort to get a larger refund.
First, we have the heating system inspected every year to avoid any issues. When there was an issue, we immediately lined up a repair person to fix the system that evening, but the guest declined. Once they departed, we once again had the system checked and the issues were resolved. Since we have purchased this home, we have been committed to investing a lot of money back into the property to insure we deliver the highest level guest experience.
This is a ski house and we ask guests to leave their winter boots at the door. Because we can't enforce this, we have the carpets cleaned at least twice a year. The towels as well as all of the sheets were replaced last year with luxury linens,(luxury towels and thousand thread count sheets). As for the snow, it has been a record year so we are constantly dealing with snow removal. If the deck has snow on it and we are notified, we do our best to have it shoveled and removed.
The hot tub is maintained after every guest leaves and it was in good working order and clean when this guest arrived. New heating pumps and control panels were installed at the beginning of the ski season. This guest also indicated in his threatening email (after he checked out) that he couldn’t figure out how to use the high end A/V system. This was also a recent addition for our guests to enjoy and it includes new TVs and a Sonos sound system. We do provide detailed instructions on the use of this system and our local property managers are always available if there is a problem.
We hope other property owners do not end up renting to this guest. He will try to extort them for money and then if he doesn’t get a full refund, he will post a review that isn’t true. We are proud of our home and we hope you enjoy all of the the upgrades that we have provided.
This home worked out really well. There were 16 of us and we never felt crowded. It was neat having the different levels, but we all felt like we were together. The Property Management team did a fantastic job. We had one slight issue with the pipes freezing upstairs, and they were there immediately accessing the issue and finding a solution...and they were VERY NICE!! I highly recommend this property! Lovely views and great location between both Deer Valley and Park City.
