Enjoy incredible fishing access, quiet and beauty from this waterfront gem in Sugarloaf Key. A very livable, light and bright home on the canal at the end of a cul de sac. The living space is on the second floor accessed by exterior stairs and features an open floor plan with an expansive screened in porch off the living area offering beautiful views of the bay and seating for outdoor dining and lounging. The Master Bedroom has a King Bed and there is a Queen Guest Bedroom and a Twin with Trundle Guest Bedroom. Twin and full inflatable mattresses can also accommodate more guests. The ground floor features a shaded lounge with an outdoor fireplace, a storage room and a carport with two parking spaces, one of which can be used by the renter. A generous yard with additional parking and a private dock offer boaters space for storing boats and easy water access. The house is also just a mile from the Sugarloaf Key marina. Anglers are minutes by boat to some of the best flats fishing in the world, particularly permit and tarpon fishing. The dock is a simple 14' wide dock, which tapers to 8.5' (see photo). Also see photos for an aerial image showing a boat route from the home to the ocean. An alternative route is available for larger boats needing greater than a 8-10' foot clearance. There is no fish cleaning station, but a hose right near the dock and plenty of room for folding tables. Sugarloaf Key is at Mile Marker 17, just 20 minutes to Key West. It is a quiet, residential key with great walking and biking paths. 28 night minimum. We do not rent partial months. The calendar is kept up to date, so please check it before inquiring. We do not accept deposits unless we have a signed lease, which we will provide via email. Deposits made before lease terms are agreed to will be rejected/returned.

Pesca Bonita LLC purchased this property in the spring of 2013 as an investment property, but also a place to escape to. My husband and I live in Victor, ID, 24 miles from Jackson Hole. I am a real estate broker with Jackson Hole Real Estate Associates - Christies International Realty and my husband Mike Dawes is the President of Worldcast Anglers , a regional and international fly fishing outfitter based in Victor, ID. Our partner, Jon Yousko, is a Bozeman, MT resident who was with Burton Snowboards and, until recently, was with Simms fly fishing gear and apparel. We cherish this property and the time we are able to spend there.

The Perfect Home Away from Home

We stayed at this house for 2 months starting in January of 2014 and it has been the perfect home away from home. It is hard to even know where to start! First off, the view from the wrap around screened in porch is magnificent. It was my favorite place to be in the entire house. It has such a great view of sunrises and sunsets over the water and so relaxing. The perfect place for a cocktail at happy hour! The house is in a really great location (super safe neighborhood) and only 15 min from Key West if you want some entertainment but by being in located Sugarloaf, it has the calm and peaceful feeling that you can come back to. Everything is top notch including the beds, linens, furniture, TV, pots and pans, etc. It is also such a great place to entertain and the house has a really great vibe to it that is perfect for anything from a vacation to an extended stay. The fishing was really stellar in Sugarloaf as well.
