Aloha and welcome to the Waialua Beach House. Our family-owned home is situated on Oahu’s famous North Shore in the small quaint town of Waialua. Tucked away from the tourists and crowds, you’ll find our beach front property just the place to relax for your home away from home. Located a few miles from historic Haleiwa town, you’ll find shopping, restaurants and ocean activities. Enjoy the Waialua farmers market where you can find locally made jams, butters and coffee as well as fresh local fruits and vegetables. In the summer months enjoy watching the sun setting on the water and in the winter months look for whales jumping beyond the reef.
Walk the beach to see the green sea turtles eating algae from the reef.
The newly built 2nd story duplex has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a balcony for outdoor eating and a fully equipped kitchen for the gourmet cooks. Perfect for 2 couples or family of 4. Enjoy the mountain and ocean views from each room while the ocean breeze to soothes you to sleep.
We just got back from an amazing 6 night stay here. The mountain and ocean views throughout the unit were amazing! Everything was new, very clean and well kept. The place had everything we could need: kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils etc., beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, coolers, umbrellas even snorkel gear were provided. Lea and her family were perfect hosts and were so generous in sharing all of their beach gear as well as their children's toys with our 1.5 year old who couldn't have been happier. Definitely recommend this rental and will stay again whenever we return to the North Shore.
We had an amazing 2 week vacation at this house. It was right on the beach with ocean views from both bedrooms. Bedrooms had comfortable king beds and plenty of closet space, ceiling fans and air conditioner when needed. Lea provided everything we could need. Towels, hairdryer, condiments, beach chairs, cooler, beach towels and fresh fruit and sweet bread on arrival. Lea and her family were so friendly and accommodating with great recommendations. Our view from the table on the covered porch was both the mountains and the ocean. We spent a lot of time in Haleiwa and is a great town with lots of shopping, galleries and restaurants . Best meals were at the food trucks at Sharks Cove and the Beet Box in Haleiwa. I would recommend this to my friends and I will stay here again if I am lucky enough to return. Lea and her family were the best!!!
Wonderful, all-most new house right on the beach in a nice, quiet neighborhood, far from the craziness of Honolulu and Waikiki. Individual AC units and ceiling fans in both bedrooms kept sleeping on brand new beds under goose down comforters very cozy. Best sleep we have had in a long time. Loved waking up to the fresh air via large windows and sliding glass doors across the front of the house that remained open all night long. Full kitchen so we did not have to eat out or order room service for every meal and snack. Washer and dryer onsite and tons of beach towels already waiting for you. Wonderful, onsite owner and family. Had tons of advice for getting around and finding the best places to play for the week. Has all the beach gear you could need. The only thing we had to rent were prescription goggles for our daughter. Pull out of your personal, covered parking spot, behind a large gate, drive out of the quiet neighborhood and within 20 minutes, at least a dozen of the nicest and quietest beaches on the island, that is, if you even want to leave your own private beach right in front of the house. Having never been to Hawaii at all, it was very refreshing to know we had a very nice, safe and quiet place to come home to every night and relax after playing all over the island each day. Cheaper than any hotel in Waikiki and absolutely no traffic or noise. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit again. Thank you, Lea for your incredible hospitality! Can't wait to see you and the family again.
We had an unforgettable experience at this beautiful property. Lea and her family were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our vacation was enjoyable. The rental was outfitted with everything we could need from kitchen implements to beach towels, sunscreen, umbrellas, beach chairs. The rental was on a quiet beach that allowed for uncrowded beach time but was also nearby to nearby Haleiwa for shopping, the wonderful variety of food trucks etc. The location is also an easy drive to any area of the island and offered some nearby hiking trails with beautiful vistas. The house also had great information available on hiking, local events etc. The first day there we saw a monk seal sunning on the beach and over the course of the week saw sea turtles and whales breach. Lea and her family truly shared the Aloha spirit with our family. We would highly recommend this rental.
This rental is truly amazing. Lea has a true eye for design in creating a Hawaiian paradise in this location. The rooms were very spacious, beds were so comfortable, and there were even toys for our kids to play with! The kitchen is also stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans and spices you would need to make meals easily. Not only are you steps from your own private beach, but every possible item you would need to make your experience effortless is available to you. The owner Lea and her sweet, kind, courteous family thought of everything you would need to make your vacation a success! From Beach towels, chairs, coolers, snorkels, sunscreen, and even aloe in the fridge for burns, they have it all. Our family including two small kids 5 and 2 1/2 had such a great time over the Thanksgiving holiday, Lea's family even invited us to join them for their personal Thanksgiving celebration, that's how hospitable and inviting this place and her family are. You are so close to the quaint North Shore town of Haliewa that we ended up going almost every day for something. The town of Waialua was so great for us, we used the bike/walk/run trail that is steps away from the rental on a daily basis to get a quick run in before our adventures. The only drawback I found was that there was not a Washer/Dryer in the rental, but Lea's husband informed me they had plans to add one very soon!
This rental is true paradise. It is located directly on the beach and near to the wonderful town of Haleiwa. At this location, you will have all the amenities you need, and all of the opportunity to truly enjoy the beauty and tranquility of beautiful Northern Oahu. We were treated to several of the most brilliant, colorful and full, end-to-end rainbows. Lea provided us with farm-fresh eggs and local-made Portugese Sweet Bread upon our arrival. We enjoyed and devoured these treats! Lea was a great host, before our arrival and during our stay, offering helpful insights and recommendations. On the property, we also enjoyed the use of the beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs. Perfect for spending the day watching and listening to the ocean. The environment was perfect for relaxing, and really just enjoying each moment of each day, taking a deep breath, smelling the ocean air or the intermittent rain, and then just realizing that yes, this really is in Hawaii.
Note that this area is NOT touristy. The Haleiwa shop owners are friendly and personable, and everyplace we went was not crowded (except for Matsumoto's shaved ice, and Giovannis shrimp truck ... BOTH not-to-be-missed).
Lea's home is built and decorated to be comfortable and welcoming. Note that both bedrooms have Queen beds (no twin beds as shown in the pic on VRBO). That worked out well for us. The construction on this house is well-done, and the unit is very sound-proof and quiet, including the substantial porch. It was lovely to sit on the porch and enjoy a book and a meal, while listening to the light and short-lived bursts of rain. Tranquil.
We look forward to the day that we can return to this lovely spot.
