About Kellyn Reed
The owners are a group of 5 siblings who spent many of their summers traveling to Island Park to see the future home of the cabin that would someday be built there. Our father was a general contractor who labored from sunup to sundown to provide for us. He was a perfectionist in all that he did and that shows in the quality work of the cabin that he eventually built on his 'dream lot.' We have had many wonderful memories of the summers and winters we have spent up here and the tradition has continued with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. We now enter a new stage in our life's adventure and want to share it with you.
Why Kellyn Reed chose Island Park
Our family has loved the location of the cabin. It is so close to scenic sites such as Big Springs, Mesa Falls, Quake Lake and not to mention Yellowstone Park. Groceries are available at Macks Inn, Robbers Roost which is just down the road, or a full size grocery store in West Yellowstone. There are so many four wheeling trails that it is hard to decide which one to take! It is always fun to see wildlife in their native environment.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love the fact that we have seen so much of wild life activity near us. Just last summer we had a family of moose meander on by and beautiful birds that flew by our picture windows. The pine smell is heavenly and refreshing as you approach the front door.

We enjoyed our stay very much!! Saw 3 moose within 1 minute!! Huge cabin with so much room!!! Short drive to Yellowstone entrance. We would stay again.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin and were able to see wildlife.
We loved our vacation to yellowstone! This cabin is about 30 mins away from yellowstone, so a little longer than we anticipated... But fun location. In the woods, close to the lake. Nice firepit. We also saw a moose walk through the yard. :).
Cons.. It is a little older, but that didn't bother us too much.
There is only 1 shower, wished there was more. Also seemed to be lots of clean up required (even tho we payed a cleaning fee).... Overall tho, we thought it was great! One of the cheapest things we could find. Just wanted a roof over our heads! So this was great! :)
Enjoyed our stay, The house was as described. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of kitchenware to use. My son found the pellet grill easy to use. Quick ride to the park daily. Friendly people at the local services. Only downside was that he mosquitos were terrible. Made using the fire ring uncomfortable. The out building with laundry and shower convenient but shower was out of service. Looked like they were doing maintenance around the outside. Overall we were very happy with our stay. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin.
Thank you for your review. The mosquitoes have been especially bad this year, due to such a wet spring. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin.
Rustic home in the woods. Twenty minutes to West Yellowstone.
Rustic home. The access roads are in poor condition. We were a little put off by the exit instructions. Considering the large cleaning fees, it seems unreasonable to expect guests to wash the towels, strip the beds, clean the kitchen, and take the trash to the landfill. It was easy to get to West Yellowstone on Rte. 20.
Thank you for your review.
The house is very well located. It has everything you need for a long family holiday. However, it needs cleaning.
Thank you for your review.
Our cabin was nice but was not clean.

Thank you for your review. I wish I would have heard from you during your stay if you were not satisfied. We try very hard to help our guests enjoy their stay at the cabin.
The cabin is located a few miles from Macks Inn, Idaho where there is plenty of fishing, water activities and miles of ATV trails. West Yellowstone is only about 22 miles away where you can shop, dine, visit museums, and the Grizzly/Wolf Recovery Center. The west entrance to Yellowstone National Park is located in West Yellowstone.
