Charming classic Craftsman bungalow lovingly restored to make your home away from home the ideal place to stay as you enjoy all there is to see and do on California's central coast. One bedroom offers a king size bed and flat screen TV with ensuite bathroom and second bedroom has comfortable queen size bed. You can relax and unwind in the spacious living room with flat screen TV/DVD player . Either play a game or sip some wine in front of the cozy fireplace or just relax after a day of wine tasting, sightseeing and shopping. Large dining room with chairs for six to enjoy meals cooked in the classic kitchen with modern conveniences including reverse osmosis filtered water. Indoor laundry facilities, outdoor patio with BBQ for experiencing warm, sultry summer evenings. Bonus room with day bed can be used for a 5th visitor or just a little room to retreat to for an afternoon nap or curling up with a good book.

We just fell in love with this classic 1924 California Craftsman Bungalow sitting on a quiet corner with the inviting front porch and just a few short blocks from downtown.

What makes this house unique

Location on a shaded corner lot, ambiance, front porch, many original architectural details intact including hardwood( albeit squeaky) floors , built-ins, crown molding and more.

Sharon was a fantastic host. When she met us to give us the keys she was extremely accommodating with our hectic timing. The house was beautiful. It had everything one could need to stay there for an extended trip, without being cluttered or messy. The house was in lovely condition. The beds were extremely comfortable. This is the standard I wish for all rentals when I travel.

Sixteen Olives is the ideal spot for enjoying Paso Robles, designated as one of the top vacation getaways. Known for premier wineries and wine tasting, there is so much more than wine to enjoy while visiting. The surrounding country side features olive farms,herb farms, cheese making and more. Great bike trails, hiking, zip lining, world class beaches, Lakes Nacimiento and San Antonio minutes away for boating, fishing and water skiing. Tour Hearst Castle in nearby San Simeon. Take a food tour for a sampling of the fine cuisine and learn a bit of our rich history. Shop in the fine boutiques, visit the art co-op across from the city park to get a glimpse of the great local talent and enjoy world famous entertainment at the new Vina Robles amphitheater or during the Mid-State Fair (the biggest little fair anywhere) . Enjoy a concert in the park on a warm summer evening. A short drive to San Luis Obispo and you'll find more great dining, museums, shops and concerts and Thursday Farmer's Market. So much to see and do..the list is endless and Sixteen Olives is the place to stay and make it all happen!

Wonderful home, great location

We stayed for a few nights and wished it was longer! This is our new favorite spot to stay in Paso Robles. Very clean with modern features in a well appointed cottage. The owner's welcome was warm and wonderful. Only a few blocks walk to downtown. Great neighborhood. Loved relaxing with a glass of wine on the porch in the evenings. Even cooked a meal at the house one night. It was perfect!

Comfortable vintage house

16 Olives is a lovely, well-appointed house in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of a grocery store and downtown venues. In addition, it is an an excellent location from which to explore the central coastal area. We would definitely recommend this VRBO!

Great place to entertain and relax

Beautiful, clean and obviously well maintained. We were graciously greeted by the owner when we arrived and given a personal tour. The amenities were more than I would wish for including a bottle of wine and chocolates on the dining table. Plenty of beautiful dish wear, glasses, cooking tools plus spices, ziplock bags, foil, etc. All in all, I’d say it was better than a home away from home because my home is not this nice. It is so lovely and quite. Quite a break from Los Angeles and we actually saw a doe come down in the evening nibbling on the neighbors lawn.

Beautiful and close to everything

The property was very beautiful. It is code to downtown and there are plenty of places close by to go to whether it be wine tasting, restaurants or a walk downtown. I would definitely stay here again in the future

For monthly stays guests are to have housekeeping services a minimum of every other week at guest expense.

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
