A REAL SWEET SPOT in warm and peaceful GREEN VALLEY. Come heal your winter battered soul! One person must be over 55. OUR BUDGET WOULD PREFER AT LEAST A 93 DAY RENTER. Green Valley is 20 miles south of Tucson, Arizona, with a desert climate that is typically all sunshine and warmth. We love to call it our slow bliss place. Top speed limit 35 MPH! Guess you get what that means.
This Green Valley townhome has a wide open and comfortable feel! It has been totally remodeled in 2012 with new tile, appliances, paint, etc.
The East facing patio is a real plus. You have some creative desert landscaping to enjoy and the Santa Rita Mountains stretch across your whole Eastern view. The morning sunrises are so beautiful. There’s a nice patio table with an umbrella and a small electric grill which works great for grilled meat and veggies! Bask in full Warm sun in the morning on those winter days that cool you off to the 40’s at night and 60’s in the daytime and make you want to put on the lovely kiva gas fireplace and heater. And later, from March through October, when temperatures soar to the 80’s and 90’s+, you are happy to be in the shade in the afternoon! The big Arizona Room creates great climate control and we will help you learn how to use it!
Kitchen: All new stainless steel appliances. Great filtered water and ice on fridge door. Cozy little breakfast nook where you can watch the doves as they build their nest and care for their babies in their carport roost. New Washer and Dryer in a closeted alcove just next to breakfast nook.
Living and Dining areas: Lovely with big Kiva style gas fireplace and skylight. Dish TV
Master BR: King sized Tempurpedic bed, Dish satellite TV (40" Samsung, DVR, DVD, walk-through closet to bath with excellent BIG shower. The TV can be in LR if you desire. All

To see what peaceful beauty this place will share with you, enjoy the pictures, they speak a 1000 words!
Green Valley is just that! Many trees and creative mature desert landscaping with incredible mountain views. There are fabulous farmer's markets 3Xwk and Tubac, a great art colony is only 15 miles south on I-19. There are 13 Green Valley Recreation Centers, your closest from this home is Continental Vista with a large salt water pool and a great Jacuzzi. (exactly 450 steps from your patio!) You are welcome at any and all of them, however. Some have theater, excellent fitness rooms and many different art and craft classes, painting, woodworking and pottery, photography, and computer classes just to name a few.
Surrounding Green Valley are many golf courses and other points of interest such as Madeira Valley, renowned for bird watching, the Desert Museum, Kartchner Caverns State Park, Mt Kitt Observatory, The Biosphere, and many more. Nogales, Mexico is about 40 miles south. Further south, Puerto Panasco with its great shopping deals, cultural experiences and the Sea of Cortez are always beckoning for fun and adventure. The sun shines over 330 days a year in Arizona! Come and enjoy!
One more verrrrry important thing. If you are a first timer, don’t bring a lot of clothes. There is this wonderful HUGE place called the WHITE ELEPHANT that sells many treasures for pennies on the dollar. If you find you need something for your well outfitted house, you can probably pick it up there for next to nothing. If nothing else, it is a fun experience. It has been here in Green Valley for 50 years and won’t be going away anytime soon. It’s right next door to the excellent Green Valley Library where you can check out fabulous Books and DVD’s.
There are Safeways, a True Value and Ace hardware, a Fry’s, a Wallmart, KFC, Movie theater, all within 3 miles of your home.

Our home away from home for 3 winters!
We sincerely agree with Laurie’s description! We have enjoyed the townhouse and Green Valley for 3 winters and if not for poor health, would be there now!
We were immediately drawn to the yard/patio when originally booking. The yard is larger than most, and the sunrises spectacular over the mountains. We enjoyed the warm sun with lunch on the patio many days, and cameras and binoculars at the ready for the variety of birds including hummingbirds attracted to the vegetation. A wonderful walking trail is a block away with labels identifying the desert cacti.
The interior feels professionally decorated so that we consider this our winter home and not just a stark rental. There is a variety of art on the walls and southwest pottery on shelves which add to the charm without cluttering the place. There is plenty of drawers, closets and surface counters for your belongings in this immaculately clean townhouse.
The living room furniture is comfortable for both TV watching and reading. The new wide screen TV was a surprise that Laurie kept secret until our arrival last winter. We enjoyed breakfast at the cozy round table in the kitchen and the other meals in the dining area with its view of the yard. The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of small electrical appliances, quality pots and pans, a variety of place settings for meals and plenty of wine glasses. The memory foam king sized bed is very comfortable and the electric blanket perfect for cool nights.
Laurie has indeed thought of everything!
The townhouse is centrally located in GV and only minutes from everywhere! As a winter renter, we were made to feel very welcome at the clubs that we joined and by the lovely neighbours. We chose from a wide variety of concerts many evenings. And we were constantly taking day trips to gardens, museums, birding spots and small towns in the area. And Tucson has so much to offer with easy access via the Interstate.
Wish we were there this winter!
Thank you so much Allan and Marilyn for that glowing review! Lovely
Think I'll go there soon! Ha! It certainly will peak someone's interest!
We sure appreciate you both and we are sending much love and
many blessings to you this Christmas! Laurie and Julie
