BEAUTIFUL REMODEL COMPLETED MARCH 2017! CHECK OUT NEW PICTURES! See and hear the rolling ocean waves from the deck of this beautiful 3 bedroom beach house. Great for entertaining or just relaxing, this bright and cozy beach side home is just steps to the beach for fishing, sun and fun.

The Space

This home is great for entertaining! Dine outside with new patio furniture that includes table with 4 chairs, a glider and 2 chaise loungers while enjoying the sounds of the Gulf or just relax inside with all the amenities of home. This updated beach house has an open floor plan with a large kitchen area that opens into comfy living and dining areas.

The kitchen features corian countertops, stainless steel appliances, including a side-by side refrigerator, double oven, gas stove-top, microwave and is stocked with dishes, pots & pans, silverware and cooking utensils. Everything you need for those gourmet meals.

The living area has oversized sectional and 65" tv with surround sound, a DVD player, ipod 4 docking station with radio, plenty of games and puzzles and a gas burning fireplace to make things nice and extra cozy in the cooler months.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, tv, plenty of closet space and a private bath. The second guestroom has a queen bed and chest of drawers, third bedroom is great for kids or singles, with tv, a twin and a bunk bed/trundle that sleeps 4. Newly added downstairs has a half bath, kitchenette with small refrigerator, microwave and sink. Also, queen size sofa sleeper with tv mounted on the wall and heat/cool a/c for comfort. A GREAT GET-A-WAY SPACE!

Guest Access

In addition to household amenities, you may also use the outdoor shower and outdoor grill on the ground level.

The Neighborhood

The view from the deck has an unobstructed beach view and the street in front of the property leads straight to the beach and services only the residents of this small quiet subdivision. Beachside properties have a great view and are close to the beach, but not directly on the beach.

This property is in Beachcomber Estates located 11 miles away from attractions including Schlitterbahn water park, Moody Gardens pyramids of fun and new water park, Pleasure Pier amusement park as well as numerous restaurants and bars. There is also a gas station, liquor store, bar, pizza/burger place and convenience store in walking distance. The Seven Seas Grocery store and Nate's Seafood restaurant is just 1 minute down the road.

Getting Around

Jamaica Beach is approximately 50 minutes from downtown Houston and about 15 minutes from the seawall in Galveston.

Other Things to Note

Provided in the home will be the following: LINENS ARE PROVIDED, all beds except the queen sofa sleeper downstairs and the trundle bed are made. Sheets are provided for these beds and are located in the rooms. There will be 12 bath towels, 12 wash cloths, 6 hand towels, 3 kitchen dish towels and 3 kitchen dish cloths. For Renter convenience there will be the following: 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 4-13 gallon kitchen trash bags and a small bottle of dishwashing liquid. These items are just to get you started. Renter must provide anything required above this.

Well-mannered pets are generally welcome at this property but prior approval and an additional $150.00 refundable pet fee will be required. Pet fee is automatically included in quote. If you are not bringing a pet please contact Marsha to remove pet fee and send a new quote before you make a reservation. Pet fee will be refunded after property inspection is conducted within 24 hrs of checkout with no damage to property

Pretty nice Xmas stay. Nice furnishings. Living area tv is way too complicated. Our house is across the street. Direct Tv is super simple. A second key would be helpful. Need a sturdier BBQ pit please.. very wobbly. Reflective tape on bottom stair would be safer.. looks like it’s not a step when it gets dark. Nice overall. A window or fake mirror looking window in the downstairs room. It’s super dark at times. Still a great house!

We loved sitting on the balcony and looking at the Gulf. We had perfect weather for December in Jamaica Beach--sunny days and beautiful sunrises. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and utensils.

Beautiful Thanksgiving Holiday

We want to thank you for a wonderful experience renting your beach property for our family Thanksgiving holiday. Your beach house was great! The views were excellent, the environment warm and homey, and it was the best provisioned property I think we’ve ever rented. Everything worked out well for us – right down to the child-proof gate for the stair well. Fortunately for us even the weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the beach and the various local holiday happenings. If you have not yet done so, we highly recommend the Ice Land exhibit at Moody’s Garden. Everything was in excellent repair. All in all we had an excellent visit and we thank you for sharing your lovely property with us. We are considering making a “Beach Thanksgiving” a regular family event and we will definitely keep your place in mind, if it is available.

Why Property Manager-Marsha 832-277-5691 chose Jamaica Beach

Our home was our second purchase in this very small neighborhood. We bought the one next door in 2006 and then our family grew so we needed more space so we bought this house. We fell in love with it and when the grandparents stopped traveling with us, we sold the house next door and kept this one. Jamaica Beach specifically is the best location because it is its own city with Beachcomber Estates only having about 20 beachside homes and that makes the beach not only more exclusive but very well taken care of from the constant cleaning, to the safety of our own police patrolling every few hours. It is like a small town feel on Galveston Island. Other neighborhoods have hundreds of beach side homes (with many more bayside homes) and the beaches are not taken care of as well and have many more people sharing them. Not to mention we have our own fire department with a rescue team minutes away from the beach. They also recently added a swimming pool and playground area. A grocery store is a minute away from the house for all your basic needs and a liquor store, bar and a couple restaurants are close as well. We could have bought any property on the island and we picked this one, in this location, because to us it is the best.

What makes this house unique

When you arrive at our home you will be pleasantly surprised with the large open kitchen and living room. It is great for preparing meals in the gourmet kitchen and still being involved in all the action between the living room and dining room. The views are magnificent of beach and ocean from these rooms. In the morning, watch the sunrise out of the ocean. In the evening, grab a chair on our sunset deck listen to the ocean and watch the sun retire on the horizon. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. At the end of your stay, we hope you have enjoyed making memories in our home.

Let me warn you, the island has too many things you will want to do for just one trip. Just beaching with this location is a favorite but if you want to venture out, the neighborhood has a community pool and playscape just across the road. The house is located 11 miles away from Schlitterbahn water park open all year and Moody Gardens which has 3 pyramids inside are an aquarium (with seals, sea lions and penguins), rain forest (monkeys, sloths, bats, and much more), 3 & 4D theatres and outside a recently added new water park. Kick up the adventure with Pleasure Pier amusement park, a Moody Mansion Tour, or Magic Carpet Putt put Golf or race some go-carts. Also, horseback ride on the beach in front of the house. Charter a fishing boat, wade fish or go crabbing to bring home the dinner and have fun doing it. As you can imagine being on the coast, we have numerous Seafood Restaurants- Landry's, Gaido's, Fish Tales, Salt Water Grill, Fisherman's Wharf, Joe's Crab Shack, Watermans and Nate's Seafood to name a few. Not a seafood fan, don't worry great pizza and burgers are just across the street. Italian restaurants include Dibella's, Mario's, Gino's and many more. Ride the Bolivar ferry and see dolphins playing on the wake. Great place for boogie boarding, surfing and kite boarding. Rent a jet ski and jump some waves. Bird watching in Galveston is one of the top places in the United States. Get your own duck call when you take a Galveston Duck tour on bus that turns into a boat for a drive and float, viewing sites around the town. Since I am not able to list everything, check out Galveston website for even more information and they will list by date any special events that are happening during your stay.
