Thank you so much for your kind review. We are very glad you enjoyed your time at the Antler House. Arnold offers incredible opportunities for great hiking, amazing outdoor activities and close proximity to Murphy's for wine tasting and dinner in a casual, laid-back style. Come back for another visit anytime.
The property was quiet. The cabin was beautifully decorated. My favorite feature was the wraparound deck with the comfy outdoor furniture. Very relaxing.
This was our second stay at Antler House - it looks brand new, but went through a major renovation - emmaculate. Great deck - partially covered with heat lamp & BBQ. All thee bedrooms have comfortable queen beds - 2-bathrooms with showers - one down one-up. I would say this is more of an adult rental - although there is a large finished basement with a foosball table. Since we had five people each visit we didn't need the extra room. It is in a pretty quite area - with large lots and no close cabins.
Antler House had all the amenities of home in addition to the beautiful location. Kathy was easy to reach, quick to respond, and efficient in her instructions and accommodations. The place was spotless. Close to Big Tree, Stanilaus River, wine tasting, and gold country. Only wish was that it had a washer/dryer, but that's being incredibly picky. Thanks for the rental! We had a wonderful time.
This cabin is gorgeous! The deck is perfect for relaxing in the evening while spending time with friends. The mornings on the deck are peaceful and relaxing. Everything is the house was well designed and decorated. The home was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a enjoyable weekend getaway. Murphy's is just down the road 12 minutes for wine tasting and shopping. Loved this place!
We rented this beautiful chalet for a girls trip with 3 young children. The house is situated in a neighborhood that felt secluded enough for privacy, but not scary for a group of girls alone in the wilderness (there are still neighbors close by!) A few notes: this is a 3 story home. Master on top, main living area second floor with 2 bedrooms, and a game room on the bottom. The home is fine for young behaved children, but a bit of caution is needed for the door with stairs that leads to the bottom floor. My toddler didn't notice the door and we always had eyes on it but, for really curious ones, it could pose a problem. The owner is definitely up front on disclosing that for little ones. Secondly, the home is PRISTINELY clean... I mean CLEAN. I'm a clean freak myself and very much appreciate the cleanliness. She requires a non refundable damage insurance policy no top of your security deposit which swayed me negatively at first, but I can't help but respect that is how she keeps her property well maintained. We spent our days at Alpine Lake (about a 25 min drive) Big Trees Park (about 10 mins away), and underground caverns (about 20 mins away). It was nice to come home to the comforts of this chalet, cook dinner and hang with the family. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
My family and I had a lovely time at the beautifully appointed Antler house. It was very clean, had everything you need and we all had a fabulous long weekend in Arnold. Highly recommend and we will be staying here again!
In addition to the attributes of mild climate and year-round recreation, Arnold is also the perfect place for an inexpensive vacation and is just a 3 hour drive from the Bay Area or 2 hours from the Central Valley.
With excellent highway access Arnold serves as a gateway to Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Stanislaus National Forest, Bear Valley recreation areas, and Lake Alpine.
