About the property

This lodge-style camp is really spacious and cozy -- it takes you back in time! Yet it has all the modern conveniences you could ask for in a new kitchen and bathroom. Enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, woodland walks, and beautiful sunsets right outside the door. The camp is located only a few miles from the historic town of Belgrade Lakes with its quaint shops, restaurants and public boat landing, as well as the award-winning Belgrade Lakes Golf Club (open to the public). Within 20 miles are Colby College, University of Maine Farmington, the Maine State Capitol in Augusta, and Viles Arboretum.

Fantastic place

  • 5 of 5

My family had a great time and really enjoyed the rustic charm of this place as well as the updated bath and kitchen. Morning coffee on the dock watching the loons was so peaceful and relaxing. Loved the screened porch at night for dinner and enjoying some games with the family. We will definitely be back!

The cottage was clean and plenty of space for 5-6 people. The rustic decor was beautiful.

Loved the place and would return for another vacation. Karen and Carol were great to work with and they add a personal touch to make everything perfect.

The property is exactly as promised with a perfect blend of modern and rustic.

The property is appropriately named as we sit on the dock and watch the sunsets every evening. The swimming is great off the dock with a float moored a short distance away. The boys love being in the water. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and well supplied. The furniture is appropriate and comfortable. The porch is a great place to hang out, dine, and play games. The bedrooms are neat, clean, and comfortable. The cottage hits on all points for us.

The owners are also a pleasure to work with as they are very responsive and want you to enjoy your time there.

Clean, great location, well-stocked for comfort

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time. The downstairs has been redone and is very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to add a ceiling light/fan to each bedroom. The rooms were very dark, and the ceiling fan would be very helpful on those hot and muggy nights.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the 5-star review, we’re so glad you had a great time! Hopefully the twin reversible airflow window fans in each bedroom helped provide relief from the very unusually muggy weather during your stay. We hope to see you again!

Great vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

My siblings and I recently stayed at this wonderful cottage on Great Pond. We were impressed with the cleanliness and prettiness of the cottage. Antique meets conventional. The beds were comfortable, kitchen modern and stocked with everything one might need. The dock, warf, kayaks, water, hammock, fire pit and grounds were wonderful. The owners were just a phone call away and always helpful. Friendly but few neighbors and lots and lots of space to "Rome"

A Relaxing, Wonderful Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed some of summer's last perfect weather at this great camp. We were so pleased to find that the house and property were as nice as pictured. There wasn't too much boat traffic since it sits at the top of the lake in a quiet cove. We fished, kayaked, made s'mores, and did lots of reading. At night after s'mores, we would go down to the dock and watch the vast amount of stars. Very relaxing. And there are some great well-marked hiking spots nearby with beautiful views of the lakes. Had a great meal at Riverside Farm Cafe on their back patio, but did a lot of grilling and dinners at the house where there is just about everything you need in the kitchen! Bedrooms upstairs are rustic and very cozy, and the rest of the house is fresh, clean, and comfortable. Spent a lot of time on the huge screened porch. The owners were so helpful and kindly answered all of our little questions! We look forward to our next visit...
