About the property

3 Bedroom, Two Bath in the Heart of a Recreational Haven

This is our fourth vacation rental and we have had a wonderful experience with them. We are working hard to get this online so that people can enjoy this part of the world this spring.

This home is a modest 1000 sq. ft. but with everything that you need.

There is a master bedroom with an on suite bath, plus two other bedrooms and bath. The master bedroom and one of the other bedrooms have queen beds and the other bedroom has two twin beds, so the home can sleep up to six.

There is a large space for RV parking besides having a large parking area in front.

It has a nice covered front porch to sit and sip a cool drink or just to chat. We also have a barbecue to grill up a wonderful steak or some chicken.

There is a washer and dryer there for your use along with internet service.

We have a DVD player if you want to watch a movie you bring or check one out at a nearby Red Box location.We also have ROKU so be sure to bring your Netflix password. NOTE: There are no antenna channels available.

We have not yet done any landscaping, but will do so as the spring progresses, so watch for updated photos.

There is however a huge tree in the yard, likely the biggest one in La Verkin, complete with a rope swing!

NOTE:

The homes that line the street leading to our home is a mixed bag. There are some truly ugly homes and then some nice ones. House address is 224 W. 300 N. La Verkin UT 84745 if you want to look at the street view. It is one of the facts of little towns in Utah. On the other hand I don't think you are thinking of coming to Southern Utah to compare houses, you are coming to have a wonderful time for yourself going biking or hiking or just getting away. We are very proud of our reviews and don't want anyone to say ' Hey I had a great time and it was just as described, but the street had ugly homes'

We would love to have you book with us and become another one of our satisfied customers. We have had many return customers to our three Cedar City vacation rentals and expect that we will have lots more here in La Verkin.

Hi! I am Carolyn Murset. My husband and I moved to southern Utah 30 years ago. because of the magnificent scenery and the equally magnificent people. We had two children when we moved here and now have five. We have thirteen grand children who all love this part of the world. It is no wonder so many people visit here, and then end up staying. My husband loves to take pictures and has hung a few at our properties for you to enjoy. He is partial to black and white photography. Our youngest daughter also seems to have caught the bug and you will also see some of her photos as well. I love to sing, act, play the guitar and have hundreds of other interests. It was my idea to start down this road with a vacation rental and we believe it has been a great thing for us and for our fellow travelers. We like to travel, but don't seem to do it as often as we would like to. In fact, we still have not gotten our passports!

What makes this house unique

If you are coming to Southern Utah to take in the scenery, having a home base is invaluable. You can make a pack lunch and come home to crock-pot meal or barbecue and save a bundle. This is on a very quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. (We consider St. George to be the big City), but still close enough to a Walmart and Costco if you like.

Although La Verkin Utah may not be a well known name, this small town is at the center of a myriad of destinations. Within a 30 minute radius there are numerous biking trails, two lakes, Zion National Park, and St. George. At only 15 minutes away from I-15 it is easy to get to by car.

If you go beyond a 30 minute radius you have Cedar City, North rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce National Park, Lake Powell, Cedar Breaks National Monument and more.

If you like Shakespeare you can go up the road about 30 minutes and see the world renowned Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, the Festival City.

With our relatively mild winters you can hike and bike almost all year long.

Enjoyable Stay

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy house. I want to thank the owners for providing the condiments as well as cooking basics such as oil and butter, pancake mix and syrup. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped with towels, facial tissues, hand and bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. We also enjoyed having a washer and dryer. The house is in a very quiet residential area and very close to Davis Farmers Market (literally a few blocks away) where we could go food and gas shopping. It was also close to Zion National Park and a good base to get to Kolob Canyon (part of Zion), the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon (all within two hours distance more or less).

Great price and house. I will definitely be staying here for all of my future trips to Zion.

The house is 30 min from Zion South entrance in a cute town. Roomy house with plenty of accommodations and brochures for the best attractions around. Had a great cozy stay, prefect place to recharge after a long day of hiking!

Spacious Vacation Home

we stayed in September of 2017 for four nights. This is a spacious vacation home, and the occupants are supplied with all of the amenities of a single-family home. Within the home, you have the use of a washer dryer, full kitchen with range and stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, crock pot, blender. The owners generously leave the occupants the basics for cooking like cooking oil, salt and pepper, sugar, coffee maker, everything that you would need without having to buy the basics at a local supermarket.

For your needs beyond the basics, there is a Walmart Supercenter with grocery about five miles away.

The Perfect Spot

This is our third year in a row renting this property. It is the perfect location for easy access to Zion National Park and surrounding areas. The property itself is perfect in size for our group (4 adults) and completely comfortable and relaxing after a long day of hiking, climbing. The property offers every amenity necessary. We look forward to booking again next year!
