This is our beautiful lakefront cabin on Pinto Point located in a quiet Pinto Bay. We are situated halfway up the lake on the east side which allows for easy boat access to all the wonderful resorts on the lake in minimal time. There is a sandy beach for lounging and a private dock for all your boating and recreational needs. The cabin is West facing making it easy to enjoy the sun all day long and perfect for happy hours to wind down the day on the full length deck in front of cabin. This is the perfect cabin for a family and/or friends gathering with 7 bedrooms that sleeps 16 people.
This has been our families pride and joy for 22 years and many great memories built with family and friends.
Jeff Christenson purchased this cabin in 1991
There is no other lake like Priest Lake. There is a reason why the call it a little slice of heaven in North Idaho.
If you want to be 50 feet from the water this is the place for you.
Very nice home on wonderful setting. Great dock. Only criticism is basement which accounts for 10 sleep spaces. It is too cold and damp. If a dehumidifier and space heater were added it would be fine. We thoroughly enjoyed the vacation and would rent the cabin again.
Our week at the Christiansen cabin on Pinto Point was perfect in every way for our 4-generation, 13 person family, thanks to the convenience and beauty of the cabin and location. We even had central vac for cleaning sand off the pine floors. Walls and ceilings are also pine. Doors and many windows are reclaimed. There were fresh flowers everywhere, from the parking area to the front and back porches. The interior of the cabin is furnished with willow furniture, leather couches, delightful sign messages, and a great many family photos that tell the story of how much the place is loved...including a poem over the fireplace by a family member, dedicated to this beautiful place. The view from windows, deck, and dock is breathtaking! Long afternoon/evenings of sun, with lovely sunsets. The water was often perfectly still and reflective.
We had great weather, though cool, so that swimming and water sports were a constant, with 70s temp. Two kayaks, a canoe, and water toys were furnished by the owners.
Our party explored Upper Lake, Thorofare, and the old dam on Indian Creek. We made daily trips to Indian Creek Campground store for the newspaper and some mementoes. The nearby Forest Service office has nature displays appealing to all ages.
We ate every meal in, taking advantage of the well-furnished kitchen, including 2 frigs and a full size freezer. There were more than enough dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and baking and serving dishes. If you choose to eat out, there are several options in Coolin or across the lake at the resorts and restaurants.
We highly recommend this cabin home and hope to return.
This well appointed cabin is in my view in the best location for those who are here for boating, water skiing or PWC. The water all around Pinto Point was as smooth as glass for our whole visit. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking large meals and the house is well furnished. I would well recommend this place as some in our group are looking into this as a future vacation.
