Modern Loft Apartment With Private Secure Entrance

Our 2nd story stand alone loft apartment has a secure gated entry with private spiral staircase which leads to the modern open plan bright and airy apartment with a private bedroom and bath, open plan living area and kitchen with stainless steel appliances including stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. All dishes and cooking utensils are included.

The bedroom has a warm inviting feel with a queen size comfortable bed, a large closet and plenty of room to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

Double pane windows make for a quiet good night's sleep.

There are hardwood floors with some porcelain tile throughout. There is a river rock shower floor with glass enclosure in the private bath.

There are large French doors and windows with views to Marina Del Rey and the beach area. There are skylights in the living area and the bath.

There is a small private patio and access to bikes and boogie boards.

All linens and towels are provided.

Wireless internet - Wifi is included

Flat Screen TV with DVD player and satellite television is also included.

Large library of books, games, and movies available.

A main house is situated at the same address with the owners on premises.

About Gary Allen

I'm a retired police officer and my wife is a teacher. We have two children and two grandchildren.

We both grew up in California and have lived in Venice Beach for over 30 years.

Our interests include travel, art, remodeling properties and our kids and grandkids.

Gary Allen purchased this apartment in 1989

Why Gary Allen chose Los Angeles

We have lived and raised our children in this unique beach community. When we moved here from greater Los Angeles 32 years ago, we knew we would stay. We had found our home. There is no more unique beach city in California than Venice. It is both eclectic and chic. It has casual eateries and '5 star' restaurants. It has street artists and posh galleries. It is the home of movie stars, musicians, surfers, artists, families, and lots of dogs. Our nickname is 'Dogtown'.

The walk street community is special because of its proximity to everything related to the beach cities yet the walk streets provide a private, green, tranquil setting.

First there is no street traffic. There are only alleyways for owners to access parking and sidewalks in the front of the homes for leisurely walks and quiet ambiance.

Next, Venice Beach, Abbot Kinney Boulevard, Marina Del Rey, and Santa Monica are all within walking distance or a short bike ride away.

We have a parking place for guests but it's so easy to get around that many people don't bother renting a car. Plus there are car services like 'Uber' and 'Ride' which can be utilized instead of taxis.

What makes this apartment unique

Our property is unique because it has a rare private stand alone loft. The homes on the walkstreets are usually single family. A few homes have guest houses on the ground floor, but our modern loft sits alone above the garage. We call it the 'treehouse' because of the sense of floating above the ground.

Fantastic apartment

I cannot say enough good things about this gem. Gary and Toni were wonderful hosts and over communicated with us every step of the way. The apartment was exactly as advertise and is a stone's throw away from the beach, Abbott Kinney and a host of other wonderful SoCal spots. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great, too. I would stay here again!

best vacation rental

If you are planning a vacation to this area do not waste your time looking any further. This place and area has it all. Toni and Gary are like taking your best neighbor ( the one you like) with you, they are a great asset. Bikes and boogie boards are provided along with the perfect apartment in the perfect place. You are 5 minutes from major highways that lead to any attraction in any direction, yet, you are in a very small and peaceful area. We are in our 60s and the first day walked to the beach, thereafter we rode the bikes. The bike trails to Santa Monica Pier wind in and out and are lots of fun riding along the beach and all the activity going on at the businesses opposite of the ocean. The apartment has everything you could possibly need plus some. Very well kept, clean, with lots of space with a small outside patio which is the perfect spot to chill after a long day of fun activities. Thanks Toni and Gary for being such wonderful hosts that made our vacation even more enjoyable than expected.

Absolutely Amazing!

My girlfriend and I stayed in this loft from July 19 - July 27. Gary and Toni were so great and were easy to communicate leading up to our trip and during our stay.

When we first arrived, we walked up the spiral staircase and into the loft. We were so surprised with everything that we couldn't believe it! The pictures posted in the listing do not do this property justice. The loft is very well kept, very clean and bright. Lots of space for the two of us and had everything we needed with a kitchen, fridge, and other appliances that made it easy for us to make meals at home.

They also provided some beach toys like boogie boards, cruiser bicycles so we can ride down the patch from Venice Beach to Santa Monica. All the amenities that we hoped for were provided.

We wished we booked a longer stay for our vacation because this place was so perfect. Walking distance to Abbot Kinney Blvd where you can find some great doughnuts, awesome pizza, and great stores. A short drive to the beach where you can get the sand between your toes. 5 mins away from grocery stores if you need them.

This was really the perfect spot for our trip and we will definitely use this as our first option when we come back!

Rental 565303 was absolutely wonderful

This rental 565303 was fabulous. Everything was clean and new. The host/landlord was extremely accommodating and a joy to know. Easy parking made it a real joy. Very easy to travel down to the Pacific Ocean. I would definitely return to this wonderful vacation home in a New York Minute (and thats fast).

Perfect!!

My husband and I stayed for several days prior to departing on a cruise. The apartment is beautiful, and far exceeded our expectations . . . the photos do not do it justice! It was impeccably clean, and had all the amenities, including a well equipped kitchen. Its bright, comfortable layout is a perfect fit for us. The owners, Gary and Toni, were welcoming, attentive and available, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. I highly recommend it, and look forward to a return visit.

Wonderful

My husband an I stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect. The apartment was adorable and clean. It is in a great location. We walked A LOT and loved it. The beach is about 3 miles away and we enjoyed looking at all of the houses along the way. Gary and Toni are such nice, accomodating hosts. Our loft apartment is located just a short walk to the famous Venice Beach and Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

At Venice Beach, visitors can shop, swim, dine, workout, bike, surf, para-glide, or just watch the various street performers.

Abbot Kinney Boulevard bustles with activity. Abbot Kinney has 5 star restaurants including the local favorite, Gjelina. There are art galleries, antique shops, treat shops, clothing stores, home stores, bars, juice bars and restaurants. The first Friday of every month the stores stay open late and Abbot Kinney Boulevard becomes a kind of outdoor party scene with some 30 gourmet food trucks, live music and people watching galore.

Be sure to visit our open air fresh produce market every Friday morning just a 0.4 mile walk toward the ocean on Venice Boulevard. 100+ vendors from as far north as Santa Maria (central California) bring their farm fresh organic products to the parking lot just west of the library from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Get a fresh pastry and coffee, juice, or tea while you peruse the fresh goodness.
