Larry and Connie Krupp purchased 601 Oct 2013 and completely gutted and remodeled this oceanfront corner unit. They live in Nevada, Iowa where Larry was developer, home builder and property manager. Connie was real estate broker for own ReMax company and managed their rentals. Both retired to Kona paradise in winter. Larry is licensed pilot ex Marine serving in Viet Nam (62-63) with helicopers. Couple married 50 years have son Kris Krupp who helped with total remodel and daughter Kim Krupp Bowen who help manage Hawaii and l9 cabin fishing resort Crow Wing Crest Resort in Akeley, Minnesota. Couple's hobby is ballroom dancing, traveling US in Motor coach, enjoy classic cars and new retirement in Kona .

Small private Hon' l beach 5 minute short walk on Alli Drive or pier for numorous water acvities daily. Pool has lounge chairs BBQ grills. Secured entry allows only residents to enter elevator. Covered parking. Close to Farmers Market, shops many fine eateries with Lava Java soft music coming softly from below . Relax and enjoy people watching from 6th floor advantage and it numerus activities.
We had a great week stay and enjoyed the area and the beautiful view from the balcony. Quiet and nicely furnished with everything you could need and close to the action of Kona downtown.
We had a fantastic vacation in 601. We previously stayed in 601 many times before Larry and Connie bought it. They have updated the condo very nicely. We appreciated the furnishings and amenities. We ate almost all of our meals in the unit because the view is fantastic. The kitchen is nicely furnished. If we want to eat out, we love driving to Waimea and eating lunch at Meriman's.
The view from 601 is AMAZING! You couldn't ask for a better location. We loved hearing the ocean 24/7. We never got tired of the view or the sounds of the ocean. We look forward to planning other return visits to 601. We highly recommend 601!

We've stayed at the Kona Alii for several years in many different condos and this was by far the best condo we've stayed in. It had everything you need. And we loved to sit on the lanai and listen to the music coming from the Lava Java next door. We've already decided to book our next vacation in this condo.
This place has both the awesome ocean view from the 6th floor balcony (the building is about 100 feet away from the ocean, we could watch reef fish through the water and have also seen dolphins jumping in the ocean) and the view on Alii drive with restaurants and live entertainment. The famous Lava Java restaurant is right under the balcony, we have enjoyed their nice live music in the mornings and in the evenings. It is located in the middle of downtown Kona and we could easily walk to the local market, shops and restaurants - no need to look for parking. We were lucky to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the balcony, the absolute front seats of the show. The boat with firework cannons was right in front of us, it was amazing. The apartment feels just like home. It had everything we needed and even more. The place is very well equipped with kitchenware and the bathroom stuff. The big screen TV and Bose sound system were a very nice touch. It is tastefully decorated with nice hawaiian art and comfortable furnishings. The property has a big pool which we enjoyed swimming in. We are very glad that we chose this place for our vacation and highly recommend it.
Location in the middle of Kona downtown waterfront is fantastic. Short walk to anywhere at Kailua-Kona downtown. Apartment has been recently remodeled and everything is new, clean, working and very high quality.
Amazing sea view straight from the lanai without anything between you and the sea. Wifi was very fast and good enough for e.g. streaming World Cup matches.
Covered parking spot was a nice bonus to have a cool car to start the day trips around the island.
