New 2013 3br 2ba Cabin In The Woods, Sleeps Six Or More

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,250 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Master Br W/king Bed, Shower, Whirlpool Tub. 2 Brs With Queen Beds, Hall Bath

We are hoping for an all-summer rental, such as June through August, or perhaps September. We will take tentative short-term requests for this period until the end of April, and confirm on/about the first of May.

Located in the forest south of Flagstaff, this cabin was brand-new in 2013. It has a Master BR with king bed, Master bath with shower stall and whirlpool tub.

2 BRs have queen beds, hall bath with shower & tub. Reclining couches and a futon can sleep an extra couple of people if need be. The dining area is set up for 6, and the kitchen has all new appliances.

The living room has a 50-in TV, with Blu-Ray player and WiFi access to internet channels.

The outside patio is concrete, and the driveway is paved with asphalt. The garage is not included in the rental.

The laundry has a stacked washer/dryer. The hot water heater is tank less, meaning you will not run out of hot water.

The Living Room and Dining room are continuous, making socializing easy.

Nearby Flagstaff, Sedona, and Prescott have numerous attractions and activities such as skiing, movies, restaurants, museums, Lowell Observatory, an Arboretum, a wildlife park in Camp Verde, and another in Williams.

Meteor Crater can be combined with a trip to stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona.

Mormon Lake Lodge & Steakhouse can be reached via forest roads in the summer, or paved ones in the winter.

Spectacular mountain and alpine forest views abound, as do sightings of elk, deer, rabbits, raccoons, and once in a while a coyote or javelina.

About Rod or Liz Harris

We have lived full-time in Munds Park for over 8 years, and part time for 3 before that. We LOVE Munds Park and the surrounding areas: Flagstaff, Prescott, Jerome, Sedona. We have plenty of 'local knowledge' we'd be happy to share!

Rod or Liz Harris purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Rod or Liz Harris chose Canyon Country & Northeast

It came on the market a couple of years ago, after a friend moved East. We wanted a place for friends and family to stay when they come visit, so we decided to make it happen. Good for us, good for our friend who moved. It's 1/4 mile from our house, so easy access.

Since we have it, we may as well rent it when friends/family are not around.

What makes this cabin unique

1. Away from it all. Nobody's gonna bother you here.

2. Close enough to 'stuff'. Flagstaff has what you'll need.

3. Clean air! 6000' above and 130 miles north of Phoenix!

4. Nature. Deer, elk, raccoons, rabbits, birdies.

5. Day trips: Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome, Winslow.

Beautiful and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This home is in a very peaceful community that is adjacent to the forest with lovely walking trails. We ended up being stranded without a car for one day of our stay, but we thoroughly enjoyed the nearby forest trails that day. The kitchen is stocked well and the home is very comfortable. The jetted tub in the master was heaven-sent. I have to say the best part though was the amazing owners that went out of their way to accommodate us after our vehicle was sidelined by an accident when we were traveling to the Grand Canyon. I have stayed in several different rentals through VRBO over the years and I have never worked with such a gracious owner as Liz. She really helped us make the most of a challenging situation and not let it stress us out too much.

The home is centrally located for easy travel to all the nearby attractions (Lowell Observatory, Snowbowl, Lava Caves, Sunset Crater, Sedona). Perfect location, wonderful home, and delightful owners! We are looking forward to another stay in the future!

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I have to tell you, this place was just perfect!

There were 7 adults for our friends' weekend (we had people sleep on the very comfortable futon and couches) and not once did we feel cramped. The house is welcoming, with enough family room seating for all of us for playing games (they even have some there) and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked, with everything we needed that weekend (and we love to cook!). Our four legged friends enjoyed the fenced in backyard and freedom to roam inside. Though it rained a majority of our weekend and we didn't get a chance to enjoy the outdoors, the outdoor seating area is a definite plus, too. The owners are extremely communicative, too! Last, but not least, a favorite of all of ours was the independent AC/heat in each room, abundant ceiling fans, and lighting.

In the words of Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way.

Baby's first snow!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here recently and found the place very comfortable. While there was only three of us, there was plenty of room for a much larger family.

If you are familiar with streaming TV, there are plenty of options to entertain those who aren't quite so outdoorsy. The big screen TV was also connected to a blu-Ray player and there was wi-fi if you have someone in your group who HAS to stay connected to the outside world.

I grew up not too far from here, so I know about all of the great places to visit nearby, but the owners left lots of info for people not so familiar with their surroundings.

My wife really loved the giant tub that had jacuzzi jets. I was glad that the master bath also had a shower stall because I'm not so big on baths.

All-in-all, this was a clean, good-sized getaway in a quiet neighborhood - with lots of indoor and outdoor options to keep one happy for days.
