This house is our home.

We have worked hard to make this an amazing place to spend your holiday and we want to share it. Our home is special to us and we hope you will enjoy it too.

We are a family of 5 and we purchased this home so we can make long lasting family memories to come. We enjoy spending time here every summer and Christmas, or whenever we have a chance. We often invite family and friends to join us on these wonderful and memorable trips.

Why? LOCATION! Its close to everything and we absolutely love to wake up and enjoy the beautiful Lake Okanagan. Our kids can safely walk to all the local attractions, amenities, restaurants and shops close-by without having us drive them anywhere.

What makes this house unique

Our home is unique because of its location and we love the flat roof mid-century house style. We recently discovered the house won a design award when it was originally built. There is a beautiful large maple tree in the backyard, a perfect shady spot to relax and read a book.

Exactly as described

A comfortable, spacious and well furnished and stocked property. Incredible location and view for exploring the Okanagan wine country. Communication between us and Jo was always quick. Check in and out instructions were easy to understand. I'd book here again.

Great location in Penticton

Location was excellent and kitchen was fully equipped. The property was clean and well maintained and had all we needed for a holiday stay. 2 of the bedrooms were on the tight side as were the bathrooms. But all worked well and we had an enjoyable holiday.

Beautifully decorated and comfortable home in an outstanding location

Two other women and I, retired co-workers from Vancouver on our annual spree, spent three wonderful day's in Joanne and Fred's home. The owners were efficient and fast in all their responses from beginning of booking to end of stay. Their housekeeper, Jo, greeted us and was welcoming, informative and friendly. The view from the house speaks for itself in the photos. But actually living in those wonderful rooms with all the comforts and elegance of their good taste, made our stay a very relaxing and soothing one. The house is generously equipped with glasses, china and utensils, and bedrooms and bathrooms with linens, soaps and paper products. We came to be close to the Naramata Bench for wine tasting (we tried Grape Escapes wine tours - very knowledgeable guides and extremely competent touring in small groups, and no driving), which is just a short 15 minute drive from the house. We also came to enjoy dining locally and to cook some of the more local produce. We had a wonderful lunch at Front Street Brasserie, casual French dining; a perfect wine-country meal. The house is close to the beach for those who want to gaze at the lake from a sandy location, and within walking distance of the older downtown areas of Penticton for shopping and other dining, as well as being a short drive to the bigger stores (supermarkets etc). I highly recommend this home for a marvellous town and country vacation, be you adults with or without children. I would certainly return with my husband to tour around the Oliver area.

This property was PERFECT for us! A peaceful and relaxing home!

This property was exactly as the pictures and website described and we had a wonderful time here. It was very peaceful and relaxing waking up with the view of the lake. We liked how central the property was as there are a number of restaurants within walking distance. The home was very clean and well-stocked with dishes, towels, bed linens, laundry facilities - everything needed for an enjoyable visit. We especially enjoyed reading and watching TV in front of the cozy warm fireplace in the living room. Excellent skiing conditions at Apex Mountain too. We hope to stay here again when we return to Penticton in the future.

Car: not necessary

Lake Okanagan (20 feet) - wake up early and go for an early morning swim or jog.

River Channel (10 mins walk) - our kids' favorite activity, best way to spend 2 hours just chilling on the channel.

Penticton Farmer's Market and downtown (3 mins walk)-pick-up fresh local produce every Saturday from May to October. Go for lunch at Brodo's (on Main St) or peruse through The Bookshop (new and used books, also on Main St).

Naramata Winery region and KVR trail (5 mins drive) - go for a bike ride, jog or hike on the KVR trail and reward yourself with a nice coffee and treat at the local artisan bakery and coffee spot, The Bench Market on Vancouver Ave. Our favorite activity is to bike from our house to the Little Tunnel - approx 1.5 hr bike ride up a steady incline. You'll wind through lush vineyards and the view is absolutely amazing. The bike ride back home is all downhill and we like to reward ourselves with a delicious lunch (and a glass of wine!) at Hillside Winery & Bistro which is located right on the bike trail.

We enjoy sitting at The 1775 Winery in Naramata. They have a large patio area with chairs, tables and umbrellas. Just purchase a bottle of wine and bring your own picnic goodies (baguette, cheese, fruit, etc). Its a spectacular setting there.

Penticton Lakeside Resort & Casino (2 mins walk) - there are a couple of great restaurants there

Penticton Convention Centre / Community Centre (5 mins drive)- go swimming or use the fitness centre year round.

If you like Indian or spicy food, we highly recommend Lachi on Main Street. We order take-out from there whenever we are in town, its a quick 5 mins drive from our home.
