This house is our home.

We have worked hard to make this an amazing place to spend your holiday and we want to share it. Our home is special to us and we hope you will enjoy it too.

We are a family of 5 and we purchased this home so we can make long lasting family memories to come. We enjoy spending time here every summer and Christmas, or whenever we have a chance. We often invite family and friends to join us on these wonderful and memorable trips.

Why? LOCATION! Its close to everything and we absolutely love to wake up and enjoy the beautiful Lake Okanagan. Our kids can safely walk to all the local attractions, amenities, restaurants and shops close-by without having us drive them anywhere.

What makes this house unique

Our home is unique because of its location and we love the flat roof mid-century house style. We recently discovered the house won a design award when it was originally built. There is a beautiful large maple tree in the backyard, a perfect shady spot to relax and read a book.

Comfort, grace and charm with location to match

This is my second visit to Joanne and Fred's lovely property on the Lakeshore, first time was for a girls' weekend. However, on this occasion I wanted to bring along my husband and some other friends to enjoy the house. We were not disappointed. The home is not at all over-shadowed by its stunning location. It is comfortable, well-equipped (glassware, linens, utensils, bath products, etc) and within easy distance of restaurants, wine-country and general sight-seeing. We swam every evening in the lake, an easy thing to do, since it is right across the street and the house is stocked with good beach towels. I would recommend this property, its owners and the manager to anyone who is seeking a quality experience from booking to checking-out. As world travellers and frequent VRBO renters of outstanding rentals, we feel we are in a position to know!

Best place to stay on Lake Shore Drive!

The house was well equipped with all your needs. We had a family of 6 and we fit well. The master bedroom was large and with our family staying with us, it accomindated all of us comfortably. The living room and kitchen are large and never felt cramped. We loved all the outdoor space and the nights on the lawn were perfect to enjoy the people watching. We loved how close we were to the lake, restaurants and biking trails.The House Manager Jo is fantastic! Always willing to help if needed. We love Penticton but we really loved the house! Thank you Joanne and Fred!

Great stay!

Our family stayed for a week and the house was perfect! We had two boys attend Okanagan Hockey Camp and the location was perfect. It was right across from the lake, two minutes from hockey camp and walking distance to everything. Jo the property manager was great and we all loved our stay. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Penticton.

Returned for a second stay and will do so again without hesitation!

This Lakeshore rental is exactly as advertised and then some! We are a family of 4 from Philadelphia and this was our second extended stay in this property. The owners are great with communication and the local mgr Jo is very responsive as well. The property has an amazing location within walking distance to many top spots, and has ample extra space so local extended family could pop in for visits while we were in town. Especially fun and memorable are the cook-outs we can host our other family members on the expansive patio, and then a short walk to ogos for ice cream and we create family memories forever!! Thanks Joanne, Fred and Jo for making our vacation in Penticton as memorable as always!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental to others. We'll be back for sure! - thanks, Sean and family.

Very enjoyable home

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The kitchen was very large and nice for a crowd and the living room view was wonderful. The bedrooms are a little small, but we knew that before we rented it. It was very convenient for the community center and many restaurants. Thank you for letting us stay there.

Lake Okanagan (20 feet) - wake up early and go for an early morning swim or jog.

River Channel (10 mins walk) - our kids' favorite activity, best way to spend 2 hours just chilling on the channel.

Penticton Farmer's Market and downtown (3 mins walk)-pick-up fresh local produce every Saturday from May to October. Go for lunch at Brodo's (on Main St) or peruse through The Bookshop (new and used books, also on Main St).

Naramata Winery region and KVR trail (5 mins drive) - go for a bike ride, jog or hike on the KVR trail and reward yourself with a nice coffee and treat at the local artisan bakery and coffee spot, The Bench Market on Vancouver Ave. Our favorite activity is to bike from our house to the Little Tunnel - approx 1.5 hr bike ride up a steady incline. You'll wind through lush vineyards and the view is absolutely amazing. The bike ride back home is all downhill and we like to reward ourselves with a delicious lunch (and a glass of wine!) at Hillside Winery & Bistro which is located right on the bike trail.

We enjoy sitting at The 1775 Winery in Naramata. They have a large patio area with chairs, tables and umbrellas. Just purchase a bottle of wine and bring your own picnic goodies (baguette, cheese, fruit, etc). Its a spectacular setting there.

Penticton Lakeside Resort & Casino (2 mins walk) - there are a couple of great restaurants there

Penticton Convention Centre / Community Centre (5 mins drive)- go swimming or use the fitness centre year round.

If you like Indian or spicy food, we highly recommend Lachi on Main Street. We order take-out from there whenever we are in town, its a quick 5 mins drive from our home.
