Located at the famous Popotla park and surf break, our vacation home is in a gated and guarded community of mostly American expats. It's perfect for couples looking for a quiet retreat in a cool climate, families looking for a fun time at the beach, or surfers looking to hit the waves. This is our vacation home, not a rental property, that we would like to share with interested couples, families, and adventurers.
Popotla offers 2 beaches, one for the surfers and a private one for the sun bathers, tide poolers, and beach goers. This gated community also has a full-service restaurant/bar. Renters can enjoy the beaches for water fun.
Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and shower outside. The master bedroom includes a queen bed, one guest room includes a queen size bed and the other guest room has a bunk bed with 2 twin beds. Some of the amenities include: 50' HD TV with Directv, local San Diego channels and HBO/Showtime, indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit with wood provided, outdoor shower and bar, deck with ocean view, fully stocked kitchen, and linens provided.
If you are interested in renting our home, be aware that the park only allows 2 cars per house and a maximum of 6 people, so please plan your transportation accordingly.

About Shannon Roberts
We have owned a property in Popotla park for about 20 years. We love being able to go on vacation for a weekend or even a day because Rosarito is so close to San Diego , only 1 hour from where we live in Clairemont, San Diego. We have 2 children ages 14 and 16 who we having been bringing to Mexico since they were babies. We always get asked about how safe it is in Rosarito to bring your children. We feel very safe and see more and more Americans in the park with their children. Our park is gated and guarded so you can feel secure!
Shannon Roberts purchased this House in 2007
Why Shannon Roberts chose Rosarito
We love our house in Popotla but can't get down to use it as much as we'd like so we thought we would share the place we love with others who might enjoy it as much as us. It really is our home with our personal things so it feels like a home not a rental property.

Peace of mind
We stayed on this home for a 5 days, when we got to the location the weather was not the best so we did the best we could. first impression of the home it looks good, the area is very secured, you have security guards 24/7 so the area its great. There were not a moment that we didn't felt secure in the neighborhood. The home is a rental and it has been well kept. The place needs a bit of cleaning but nothing horrendous. I noticed dust on the fans, crevices, top of the fridge and those places. But overall was a good time with my family. If you stay here check out the restaurant that is on premises its pretty good. I'm an executive chef and i enjoyed the local food nothing too fancy but it was a well prepared meal and the prices were reasonable.
Holiday weekend in beautiful home in Popotla, Mexico.
Really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. This home has every thing you need.
Glad you had a good time. We look forward to having you back!
Great place to stay!
We really enjoy staying at your home! Popotla is a great family place and we loved our week! Thank you!!! 😀
This place served it's purpose...we needed to be in the area because of dental work, and it was a very good decision to stay in this community that was just south of Rosarito Beach. The gated community felt safe, and the locals were very nice. This particular home was fine, and met our needs...
The reservation went smoothly, and the owner was prompt in responding.
The bed was really comfortable.
The sofa was great...very cozy.
The water pressure was great, and there was always enough hot water for showers.
The upstairs deck was fun.
It was walking distance to the local fishing village was a highlight...and the resident pig there was a delight.
While the home was adequate, it wasn't super clean.
The doors didn't feel secure, especially the door in the dining area.
The toilets were in need of repair. Flushing them needed servicing...
The garbage disposal was in need of repair or replacing.
The whole home seems to need regular upkeep maintenance.
Overall, this home was okay. The community was fun and welcoming, and the security was stellar. We loved its location...just south of Rosarito Beach. It was enough removed to not be loud or busy, but close enough to be convenient.
The house was very nice
Loved the house.Bad thing was it rained the whole stay. But there was direct TV so we got to watch TV to stay entertained. We also went to the restaurant alot since it was so close to the house. I think if the weather would have been better it would have been an amazing stay. Next time I'll go during summer.
Nice location, safe, great restaurant and beach shore to explore
Location was near all touris towns.Home was nice and well equipped. Beach had a rocky shore, not sand but still beautiful. Peaceful yes! Safe yes! Restaurant located on the property was delicious and a must to try. House a perfect fit for a family of 4-6.
