Great Location Heart of West Bend, pet considered

GREAT LOCATION!! Close to all the great eateries; Walk to some of the best restaurants in Bend,

the River, the Amphitheater. A rental car is not even necessary for summer visits! Very comfortable, cozy, gas fireplace, great new mattresses in two bedrooms, one upstairs, one downstairs and the separate den with new twin sofa bed with memory foam (plus blow up air bed) serves as the third bedroom . Beautiful bamboo floors downstairs, new chair bed is also up stairs , a great place for a child to sleep. Washer dryer, one full bath upstairs and one full bath down stairs. Great for skiers, ALL summer activities, kids welcome and dogs considered, fenced yard. UPDATE: NEW Honeywell air conditioner upstairs!! Downstairs remains cool with evening and am breeze and ceiling fans. Air conditioning not needed.

This home has two standard bedrooms and the private den serves as bedroom # 3 with a memory foam futon and a blow up air bed. one bath upstairs, living room , bath and kitchen down stairs, All new paint, and amazing new beds. Fenced yard, two car garage and BBQ, A great location the heart of west bend 5 minute walk to your favorite restaurants and brew pubs.

Great location

Pros: This house is in a prime location with numerous restaurants, breweries and the river all within walking distance. Taco Salsa is literally right out the backyard fence. There were two adult bikes provided for us in the garage. The backyard is fully fenced and pretty private. The beds were comfortable and temperature of the house stayed cool in the heat of summer.

Cons: It would have been nice to have other paper products provided other than the single ply toilet paper. Cleaning up small messes and blowing your nose was nearly impossible. Most functions of the house were in working order but not high quality. A hot tub in the backyard would be nice as well.

Overall, it was a great stay and location is the most important aspect of the house that we care about.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice comments. We do try and keep paper products to a minimum. In the future we will have easier access to clean up towels. Thank you for your understanding! Come back again!! We are proud that we have saved a few trees and limited land fill for the last 4 years. • Globally, discarded paper towels result in 254 million tons of trash every year. • As many as 51,000 trees per day are required to replace the number of paper towels that are discarded every day. • If every household in the U.S. used just one less 70-sheet roll of paper towels, that would save 544,000 trees each year. • If every household in the U.S. used three less rolls per year, it would save 120,000 tons of waste and $4.1 million in landfill dumping fees.

Nice property, Bend is wonderful

Great house. Well equipped, and a good location close to downtown. Great pubs nearby. Only issue was a very loud concert held in a local restaurant car park first night. It was extremely loud, however it did finish at 10. Other than that, it seems generally a quiet neighborhood. We also hit a hot couple of days, so it was a little hard to cool the house down, but that's not unusual for this area since it doesnt get that hot very often, and the portable unit upstairs worked very well.

Great location

We stayed at the home in 7/2017. Its in a GREAT location. easy access to Drake Park, Downtown and many restaurants and brew pubs. The house is nice and clean and well stocked, we didn't really cook there since there are so many yummy places to eat that are within 5 min walk from the house. The house is VERY dog friendly with a fenced in back yard. The bonus of this house is that it is so very close to everything and walkability to everything is great. The only downfall is the house is it is off a busy street so there is street noise if you are sitting outside the traffic noise is prevalent but you don't really hear it when you are inside the house. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to be close to everything, its perfect!

Excellent Location

We had a great stay. Our group included 6 adults (3 couples) and one dog (dog friendly - yah!) and we felt there was enough room for our group. Originally, we had 4 adults. When we emailed the owner, Trudy, that 2 additional adults would join us, she worked with us to make that happen. As noted, the den does not have a regular bed - it has a couch that pulls out into a single bed and an air mattress (for floor use) with a built-in pump to inflate it. The upstairs bedroom has a portable air conditioner and the lower part of the house does not have A/C. There were plenty of instructions in the kitchen and around the house. We were able to put two vehicles in the garage with our 6 mountain bikes, 2 kayaks, and 2 SUPs - it was a bit tight but very doable. The washer and dryer were in the garage which was nice because the dryer would not heat up the house in the summer. The location for us was excellent - a 1/2 block from NW Galveston Ave. which has many nice restaurants and several breweries and leads into downtown which is just a short walk. Head in the other direction on NW Galveston Ave, which then turns into Skyliner Rd., takes you up to many trail heads for hiking and mountain biking. The white water park is a short distance from the house as well. We were also less than a block from NW 14th St which had several nice restaurants and breweries and led directly to SW Century Dr. which leads directly to several trail heads for hiking and mountain biking along the river. For some, the absence of AC might be an issue during the latter half of July when we were there and the traffic noise from 14 St. and Galveston Ave. might be a bit high, but this did not bother us. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back. Thanks Trudy for the great stay!

Great location!

We spent most of our time in the house on the back patio. It was great having a fenced in yard for the dog! Lots of restaurants close enough to walk to!

Lovely Stay in Downtown Bend

We had a very pleasant stay in Trudy's lovely house. We made our plans at the last minute and Trudy was very responsive. The location was great, within walking distance of the river. It is near a busy road, but the neighborhood is very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely return!
