About the property

Four bedroom, three and half baths sleeps 8 to 10. 10 x 24 open slip.

This 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home on the quiet west side of the lake will cause your stress & worries to simply evaporate. The home is nestled in trees on an inclined lot with more than ample deck space & a gazebo to enjoy the main channel view.

Guest will enter on the 2nd floor which contains the secondary master bedroom with a shared bath and a 2nd bedroom while overlooking the entirety of the main level living area & its vaulted ceilings as well as the expansive windows that give you a breathtaking view of the lake. Meander down the stairs to the main level where you will be greeted with a spacious eat in kitchen with a 3 seat peninsula that faces the lake along with a pantry and a cozy table & 4 chairs. Step through the family room which features a fireplace and 2 sleeper sofas and you will enter the master bedroom with its own slider out onto the deck. A short hallway passes by the powder room and empties you into the spacious laundry room where you find, along with the expected washer & dryer, a second fridge. Head downstairs to the ‘kids’ level that features 2 queen size beds, a full bath and its own slider that exits to their own deck. Head back upstairs and go through the family room slider to find yourself on the large sun-dappled deck where you can choose to sit under the tree coming through the deck, stroll into the gazebo where you will find an oversize teak table and plenty of seating under the lights & ceiling fan or amble on down the stairs past the lower level deck & fresh herb garden to the martini bar and concrete dock which has a good sized seating area, open slip, bar with refrigerator and Wet Steps ladder.

This home is located off the beaten path at the 50 mile marker where you will find the peace & tranquility you came to the lake for. There is plenty of parking including room for a boat trailer and there is a ramp just a few hundred feet away. While we are not located on the ‘busy’ side of the lake the town of Laurie is only 25 minutes away and the shops in Osage are only an hour away.

Extremely pleased with our recent stay!

  • 4 of 5

I would like to thank Mike and his wife for allowing my brothers and I to stay at their beautiful lake house this past weekend. We enjoyed a beautiful view, great accomdations and a very relaxing environment.

It was a beautiful weekend and the lake house has all the amenities to make you feel at home. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room for comfort. We have been taking annual trips for 8 years and we have rented a number of properties, the Pachinni's place ranks very high...

Fantastic Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This vacation home was fantastic! Our family of 4 adult couples and one baby had plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the roominess of the inside as well as the outside. Over the course of our stay we swam and fished off the dock, enjoyed watching the bald eagles fly by each morning, had dinners out in the spacious gazebo and watched the sunsets from the beautiful dock. Dock had plenty of comfortable seating for all of us, which made it even more inviting to stay down there to enjoy the lake. We rented a tritoon from Pirate's Point for 3 days which allowed us to see the lake, go tubing and water skiing. Being further down the lake away from the busy end was a big plus, well worth the drive. There were stores and restaurants close enough that we would rather have to drive a little ways rather than have been in the busy part of the lake. No noisy, partying neighbors either. Absolutely perfect! We even got our exercise walking between the house and dock! Couldn't have asked for a better place. Mike and Donna were quick to respond and even sent a welcome email to make sure we made it there alright and to see if we had any questions. Internet and cable were great. However, cell phone service was nonexistent, which was fine. They did have a land line there. Would definitely recommend this vacation home to others. So many good points that they can't all be listed. Thanks again Mike and Donna!

We had a group of 8 people stay here and it was truly amazing. The home was just as described and looked just like the pictures. Tons of room inside and out. The view from the deck was priceless. The dock was very nice and worked great to store our boat and to relax on. We have rented many, many homes through VRBO over the years and this one was by far the best! Mike & Donna were a true pleasure to work with. We defiantly plan on staying here on our next trip to the lake!

Owner's Response: Hi, Zack and Sandy. Thank you for the great review. I cannot explain how happy it makes us that you loved the place and had a great time. We have put our hearts and souls into this place since we bought it (and keep doing so). Your words really mean a lot to both of us. It is people like you that have made it affordable for us to do all of the upgrades and make it nice for all (including us and our family). Hope you come back! Donna

What an absolute wonderful vacation home!!

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful! The layout is perfect. The view is amazing. Plenty of room for everyone. We spent many a night in the wonderful gazebo, and many a day on the dock. Having such a great dock with a refrigerator, plenty of lounge chairs is awesome. We barely left. The kids swam hours on end - could barely get them out of the water. We fished. We played games, we relaxed! This was our 2nd time here. The upgrades the homeowners have made are great! The location is so peaceful and tranquil... We can't wait to come again!

What a great vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 8 days and my husband said it was the laziest vacation he’s ever had. The location is secluded, private and very quiet. The house was big and the layout made it easy for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was very well stocked and it was nice to have the little things that you don’t realize you need until you need them.

We played cards and read in the gazebo at night, drank coffee and relaxed on the deck in the morning, and floated around on a raft in the lake every afternoon. We all caught quite a bit of fish, a few of them pretty good size.

One thing to keep in mind is that it is quite a distance from anything. I knew we would have to drive nearly an hour to visit the Ozarks, but I thought we might be able to visit some nearby restaurants for dinner. Not the case. There is virtually nothing close by. So we just went to the grocery store and bought food to make dinners at the house and it worked out fine.

The house is very updated and clean, but my family agreed that the cleaning people could do a better job. When we arrived, there was something red spilled all over the inside of the refrigerator and pizza sauce on the bedroom door handle and on the lid of the washing machine. The carpeted stairs also needed a good vacuum. None of these things were traumatic but we have stayed at many houses in several states over the years and this one could use a bit more professional attention. However, it was still very clean by most just wasn't as clean as a good hotel.

The other thing is that there really could be another garbage can outside. One can is not nearly enough for a family of 6 staying for a week. When we arrived, the can outside was already about a third full from the previous people. By the middle of the week the can was full and since we couldn’t store loose bags outside due to wildlife, we had to keep bags of garbage in the house with us. Another can would be a huge plus.

Pros: Great layout with room to spread out, well stocked, lots of privacy, a beautiful view of the lake, great fishing, amazing gazebo, tv’s in every bedroom, lots of roaming deer!

Cons: No cell service, lots of steps to the dock, very remote, needs some good cleaning

Overall this house is a wonderful vacation home, we truly enjoyed our time there and we would definitely recommend it to others. Thanks, Mike!
