About Julie Hoffman

I moved here 17 years ago following a visit where I fell in love with Portland's 'not so big' size and European feel. My business partner is native to the area and shares my feelings about the city's energy and diversity.

Julie Hoffman purchased this apartment in 1997

Why Julie Hoffman chose Portland

Not unlike as it was in the early 1900's showing its prosperity, our NW neighborhood has seen a revival spurred on by gentrification. As such, we have renovated this Historic Beauty over the past 15 years trying to keep the original circa 1900 feel.

In the backyard, the setting is tranquil with a great soft-scaped patio space.

What makes this apartment unique

One of the best benefits of this property is that it's in a quiet, residential neighborhood yet just a few minutes from all of the action of NW Portland, Pearl District and Downtown!

If you like to walk and explore, this is such a lovely neighborhood in which to do that. No car is necessary for your stay here.

I love the history of the building and how the turn-of-the-century character has been preserved in its details.

The front porch is stately by appearance and provides a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a beverage, and watch passersby.

A cozy nest in NW Portland

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed your apartment #2 in NW Portland. The fireplace was perfect for the chilly nights and mornings. The location was wonderful, the parking permit so helpful, the decor tastefully done, the kitchen well outfitted, the bed very comfortable and lots of hot water! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Place..

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely exceptionally clean apartment in a fantastic neighborhood with many historic homes that is just steps away from great restaurants and shops. For a great breakfast try the Stepping Stone Cafe just down the street. Trader Joe's is about a 10 minute walk away. It is also very close to all the main attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the place Great Neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

It was neat staying in this upgraded vintage residence. Landlord was so nice and very willing to help with any questions. The neighborhood is great to stroll down. Lots of restaurants and very safe feeling. Very charming. Very convenient to the Rail car line. Easy to get around town without the car. Very clean and comfortable. We will stay here again the next time we come to Portland and will recommend it to friends. There is a great grocery about 4 or 5 blocks away.

Convenient, comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was clean, and in a great location for visiting northwest Portland. Loved the porch! Friendly people and cats around the property. Just two suggestions: Needs another mirror, maybe full-length. Also, the shower was very weak.
