About Julie Hoffman

I moved here 17 years ago following a visit where I fell in love with Portland's 'not so big' size and European feel. My business partner is native to the area and shares my feelings about the city's energy and diversity.

Julie Hoffman purchased this apartment in 1997

Why Julie Hoffman chose Portland

Not unlike as it was in the early 1900's showing its prosperity, our NW neighborhood has seen a revival spurred on by gentrification. As such, we have renovated this Historic Beauty over the past 15 years trying to keep the original circa 1900 feel.

In the backyard, the setting is tranquil with a great soft-scaped patio space.

What makes this apartment unique

One of the best benefits of this property is that it's in a quiet, residential neighborhood yet just a few minutes from all of the action of NW Portland, Pearl District and Downtown!

If you like to walk and explore, this is such a lovely neighborhood in which to do that. No car is necessary for your stay here.

I love the history of the building and how the turn-of-the-century character has been preserved in its details.

The front porch is stately by appearance and provides a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a beverage, and watch passersby.

Beautiful craftsman house

  • 5 of 5

Clean, convenient location and it had everything we needed. I would definitely stay again if only to sit on the beautiful porch with my coffee and Blue Star donut each morning!

Lovely apartment in a quaint neighborhood!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment located in the Alphabet District was perfect for our stay! We loved sitting on the front porch; it was so peaceful! The area has many shops and restaurants and is walking distance to several bus lines as we opted to not have a car. The owners are so lovely and made the process seamless! We can't wait to return!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway in the city

  • 5 of 5

What a delightful place! Charming and comfortable with everything we needed. The owner was courteous and prompt to respond to any questions we had. The location was perfect-only one block from 23rd ave shops and dining yet felt secluded and private. We would highly recommend this property!

Great location, clean, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This lovely historic home is located a few blocks from streetcar, restaurants, bars. Close to hiking trails also. Very comfortable, just the right size for a couple. We loved coming back to our humble abode after a long day of walking, hiking, touring. We only had breakfast and snacks, so no major cooking. The only thing missing is a coffee grinder if you buy local beans as we did. Comfortable, clean, lots of storage space. We would stay again as we just loved it.

Great apartment in beautiful, quiet neighborhood!

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this lovely home. The location is perfect - very walkable to shopping and restaurants, and the streetcar is a block away making it extremely easy to explore other parts of the city even if you don't have a car. We did rent a car and were provided with a parking pass to use. Apartment is clean, charming and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again on a future visit!
