This cozy hide-away is newly remodeled and decorated featuring a stone fireplace, open beamed ceiling, room air conditioner, two-person soaking tub in master bath, wrap-around deck and nicely equipped kitchen. Located in Sugarloaf, 5 miles east of Big Bear, the cabin is just 10-15 minutes away from the slopes of Snow Summit and Bear Mountain ski resorts.

The cabin sits on a beautifully treed lot (3 lots fully fenced) in the Mountains of Sugarloaf, providing peace and quiet. The National Forest is just 100 yards away so you can enjoy hiking, sledding, or cross-country skiing. The open layout of the cabin provides a perfect atmosphere for a cozy and relaxing get-away.

We take pride in providing a comfortable, cozy, relaxing stay and take every effort to keep the cabin up to date with conveniences and decorating. THE CABIN WAS JUST RE-PAINTED AND NEW CARPET WAS ADDED TO THE BEDROOM ALONG WITH A NEW MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS COMPLETED IN OCTOBER 2017.

The interior is professionally remodeled and includes a stone fireplace with gas starter in the open beamed living room. A portable air conditioning (A/C) unit is also available to cool down during those warm summer days. The beautifully designed and spacious master bathroom has a two-person soaking tub and separate shower. The bedroom has a queen bed with a forced air heater to keep you toasty during those cold snowy nights. The living room has a new queen easy to pull out sofa bed to comfortably accommodate additional guests. The half bathroom is conveniently situated off the living room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, dishes, wine glasses, coffee grinder and maker, pots and pans, food processor, and everything else you'll need to prepare a gourmet meal. Firewood is not provided.

AFTER RENTING THE CABIN OVER THE PAST 10 years we want to continue to give our guests the best possible experience staying at our cabin. In order to continue to provide a consistently clean and cozy cabin we have decided to provide the linens and cleaning for a $50 fee.

About Cheryl

Julie and I have owned this cabin for over 10 years and our family has enjoyed it to the fullest. We love spending family time at the cabin and hope your stay is

Cheryl purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Cheryl chose Sugarloaf

We love the outdoors and to disconnect from "city life". We searched for a place we could drive to on short weekends from Long Beach. We found what we were looking for in Big Bear with fresh air, Open Space, wilderness and close proximity to Long Beach.

Very Nice and Cozy Cabin

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I had a nice relaxing weekend away for his birthday. The cabin has all the comforts of home. The interior is very nice. Everything was working, no maintenance issues. The only thing missing was our cell phones didn't have service. We would stay there again. Price is definitely right.

Second Visit Even Better Than First

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to the cabin, our first was last October. Somehow this stay was even better than our first, which we loved! New pots and pans and a refreshed bedroom were much appreciated touches. Sam, our shepherd mix, just loves the freedoms of the fenced in yard and was happy rolling in the leaves. We just love the location, serenity and feeling this cabin provides us when we visit Big Bear. We hope to make a winter visit this year too!

Nice Cabin

  • 3 of 5

First of all let me say that Cheryl is awesome!!! She responded to all my answers quickly.

The cabin was nice, not super clean but clean. We had a little difficulty with getting the heater lighted. I did love having the fireplace! I would have preferred more comfortable seating out on the deck though and maybe a little more "cabin" decor but overall it was a nice place to stay.

Great time and experience...Big Bear Lake is about 10 minutes from the property.

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time! When confronted with an issue, it was addressed immediately with much kindness. The cabin was supplied with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Much thanks to the owner Cheryl and her maintenance man. Peaceful surroundings.💜

Great Labor day getaway!

  • 5 of 5

It was an adorable cabin with all the necessities for our couple weekend getaway during labor day. We were both happy of the wonderful 69-72 degree weather while others roasted in Los Angeles. The outer part of the cabin is not the color that is seen on the website, it is of a dark brown color but awesome and very tidy. Too bad we did not take advantage of the nice large bathtub. It would have been awesome for a nice bubble bath, ideal for candles and champagne/strawberries. Cheryl the owner knew we had problems with the dishnetwork and she gladly came down to swap out the unit and fixed the issue immediately. We had trouble with our At & t service but with Wi-Fi, she communicated via email and called my phone to leave messages. We would definitely come back and rent out the cabin again!
