The basement has 9 foot ceilings that make you feel like you are on the main level. It comes complete with another master suite, two bedrooms and the third full bath with double sinks!

Last but not least the back yard is living in the Colorado nature at its best with an endless scene of wildlife and access to several hiking trails. Backs to open city park, built in wood fire pit on gorgeous stamped concrete patio, and a pond less waterfall feature that will sooth any soul.

Home has a central vac system, built in speaker system throughout the house as well as outdoor speakers. Central air to keep you cool on those rare hot Colorado days.

Home is located within minutes of Palmer Park, Santa Fe Trail, UCCS, Air Force Academy, and down town. Shop at the new University Village Shopping Center with Costco, Lowes and Kohls. King Soopers, Safeway, Target, and several restaurants right around the corner.

About Jennifer

Shannon moved to Colorado Springs in 1999 because of her love of the mountains and skiing! Lloyd moved to Colorado Springs in 2008 after meeting Shannon at a mutual friend's wedding, he quickly left Wisconsin to be with the love of his life (and beautiful Colorado!) We were married at the end of 2009 and decided that we would move out of the home and start our new life in a new home together. (Shannon thought Lloyd was Crazy for this! LOL) We currently reside in Colorado Springs and love all that it has to offer in it's own backyard from, hiking, biking to taking family walks in the many parks! With over 300 days of sunshine, a temperate climate and amazing views why would you not want to vacation in Colorado Springs? Be careful, you might not want to return home!!

Why Jennifer chose Colorado Springs

Shannon worked for the builder and decided to build a custom home when the sub-division was opened. She had the pick of the lots and chose one of the best, mainly because of the open space in the back yard, which feels like your own little sanctuary! Shannon and I rarely stay in hotels when we travel. We love using VRBO and always enjoy the amenities staying in a home offers. So after renting to long term renters we decided that VRBO gives us the opportunity to share this marvelous home with many more families and make their vacations that much better. We love what this city has to offer and this home is right in the middle of everything!

What makes this house unique

What's not to love about this home. First off it's spacious and open and has many custom upgrades; it feels cozy yet luxurious. The best part of the home by far, is the back yard. Whether you are relaxing in the living room looking outside or sitting on the large patio you will feel at peace. You don't even know there are neighbors when in the back yard, it's your own little slice of paradise. Plus, watching the birds, deer, squirrel, and the occasional coyote or bear is always fun! You don't even have to go far to take a hike! The back yard is city park and you can explore all over the area! The other great perk of this house is that it is centrally located. Literally walking/biking distance to University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) and parks like well known Palmer Park. Downtown, shopping, malls, restaurants, golfing, hiking and military bases like the Air Force Academy are minutes away.

Wonderful family vacation!

This was a lovely home for our family vacation....with our adult children and grandchildren. The layout was such that each of the three families had their own space and privacy. The patio was wonderful for use throughout the day, but we especially enjoyed it in the evening. Deer came down the mountain to within 6-8 feet of the back fence, we roasted marshmellows over the fire pit and the children had room to play. The property is very conveniently located for the popular sites (Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Zoo, Seven Falls, etc.), groceries/restaurants close by and neighbors were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

My family enjoyed this property very much.

We were pleased with the size of the house, accommodations and especially the patio with a fire pit. We had an issue with the hot tub and the owner addressed it. With the house set back, we could not see the neighbors' houses on either side. The neighborhood is in a nice location. We had easy access to the Colorado Springs attractions that we enjoyed.

A great slice of Colorado all at one location.

We had 6 adults 3 grade schoolers and one toddler and had a terrific stay. We started our day emersed in nature and made day trips to main tourist attractions. It was a wonderful pleasure to stay at this wonderful house!

The house was amazing!!! The area, neighborhood and s cenary was fabulous!!! Lloyd was Johnny on the spot, the fridge wasn't cooling and we had just filled it up with groceries so I called him to let him know and he right away sent someone to the rescue!!! Definitely a great vacation home that we will be returning to.

There is so much to do in this area, especially if you are an outdoor enthusiast. Many hiking/biking trails all over the city from easy to difficult. Take the COG railway up to the top of Pikes Peak or hike the incline in Manitou Springs. Visit the Air Force Academy, play golf at one of the many courses in town. If pampering is what you are after, visit one of the numerous spas in town and get a massage or your nails done!

Check in is at 4:00 PM on the day of arrival. Check out is at 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

Refunds with notice prior to 30 days of arrival, will be 100% refunded. Cancellations with in 30 days, 50% refund, plus deposit and cleaning fee. Cancellations with in 7 days of check in, reservation is non-refundable with exception of cleaning and deposit fee.

We will email you information on accessing the home along with maps 2-4 weeks before your arrival date. We do this because we occasionally change the code to the garage and lock box.

We are open to you checking in early if you like, just confirm first that the house is clean and ready to go.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
