The whole experience was great

  • 5 of 5

Me and my college buddies went up there for a weekend to unplug from the phones and all of that. This place gave us everything we wanted. The house was amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. And the property was perfect. We didn't catch anything while fishing, but it was still great just being up there and soaking it all in. Only piece of advice I would offer is to bring a knife to prep food with, the ones there were too dull to do much.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us, it was great meeting you guys ;) I will make sure that we replace the on site knives, thanks for letting us know. Hopefully you will make it a yearly trip with your buddies!! Many more opportunities for memories to be made in the years to come. Enjoy the rest of your summer !

Beautiful

  • 4 of 5

Loved visiting with the owners and their other guests in the river house. The surroundings were beautiful. Accommodations very nice. However, we found ourselves in need of some scissors once in a while. Would also have enjoyed having wi fi . We realize you are in the process of selling the property. Maybe some information to pass on to the new owners. The opportunity to use the golf carts to roam the owners property was also fun. Loved all the creative features to the house. The Mayburys.

Amazing, beautiful property with tons of detail.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property and our stay there. The lodge is amazing and must be seen beyond pictures to appreciate all of the wonderful details. If you're looking to unplug and unwind, it's the perfect place for a family vacation. Unfortunately, we didn't meet the owner as he was away, but perhaps next time! Thank you

We had a great time! The property is as nice as it looks! Our only wish was for less mosquitos and more fish ;-)

Owner's Response: What a pleasure to meet with you and your family! Yes, bug spray is 100% needed as I mention to everyone the day before check in. The thing with trout fishing is you have to be patient and offer different presentations until you find what they like. The best browns were caught and released during the "Hex" hatch which was in the 3rd week of June. Come back and see us next year, it was a pleasure serving you !

Special place

  • 5 of 5

This house is full of amazing details and is very well kept up. My husband enjoyed some superb fishing on the Manistee. Dave was wonderful, always willing to give suggestions and interested in what we were up to each day.

Third Time Renting

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, comfortable, and spacious lodge. I've stayed here 3 times now, if that says anything. Unbelievable craftsmanship went into the building of the lodge, and the setting is perfect right next to the rivers. Will be staying again in the future.
