LOCATED CLOSE TO PISA, LUCCA and FLORENCE

A farmhouse apartment in Tuscany and a perfect base for exploring Tuscany.

Appartamento Rosmarino is situated on an award winning organic olive farm, surrounded by olive groves, orchards and sweet smelling pines.

Appartamento Rosmarino is a one bedroom apartment situated not too far from the centre of Vicopisano, often referred to as one of Tuscany’s most beautiful villages and best kept secrets.

The apartment offers both rustic charm and simplicity so typical of Tuscan rural houses. This is the ideal place to stay if you are looking to immerse yourself into a typically authentic Tuscan lifestyle.

The apartment has its own private entrance and is situated opposite the main mill house with lovely views over the 18th Century mill house and gardens.

You will be able to see the farmers at work, the mill where the oil is produced and sample the wonderful tastes which are produced on this charming farm.

If you need to pick up supplies the village center is just a 2 minute drive away or for those who like walking it’s a 10–15 minute picturesque wander past the kiwi plantations and Medieval towers.

Come in the Spring and witness the fruit trees in blossom and the buttercup meadows. Visit in the Summer and see the surrounding sunflower fields.

In September you will see the harvest of the grapes and in October you will see the harvest of the olives but to see the olives turned into the golden nectar you must come and visit in November!

Vicopisano is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful region of Tuscany and the cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena, as well as being just under a 30 minute drive away from the Pisan coast, its beaches, Thermal Spas and Golf Course.

Surrounded by a beautiful landscape of sunflower fields, pine covered hills and olive groves this is an ideal location for walking, hiking, cycling and mountain biking.

Fun and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful three night stay at Appartamento Rosmarino. We had a few challenges finding the location but a simple phone call to Maria solved that problem. The apartment was exactly as described and Marco was wonderful at explaining how to use the stove and the coffee pot along with doing a phenomenal job at touring us around the Farm and explaining so much. Although there is no view from this unit you are welcome to relax and enjoy the view from the comfortable seating area below which we did with a bottle of the wine produced and sold here each evening. Everyone on the property including the resident dog and cats made us feel very welcome.

Tuscan paradise!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed three nights at the olive farm/vineyard/kiwi farm and had an amazing time. The property is located in Vicopisano, which is a lovely little town outside Cascina and not far from Pisa. We had a room on top of the storeroom, with a cute rock staircase that led to the front door. The insides of the room were not that amazing but the property itself was breathtaking. There is a large field that overlooks the olive grove, grapevines and kiwi trees as well as the local castle. We ate dinner on a patio located in the grass field and drank our bottle of wine that was given to us from the owners--made from grapes grown on the property. On one of the days there we got a tour of the operations and were shown where all of the olives are processed and how olive oil is produced. The farm has been producing olive oil for a very long time. We walked up the hill, as was suggested by Marco, to see the older olive trees that had been planted nearly 200 years ago. The local pizza/calzone restaurant, Pizzeria Le Belle Torri, was incredible! I love my calzone and this was some of the best I've ever had. The rooms were clean and nice and the linens were beautiful--just like my grandmother used to make. I would definitely stay here again.

Quant & Rustic Italian Charm

  • 4 of 5

If you are looking for living a somewhat Italian lifestyle on your holiday, than this apartment is the place! Nestled in a working Olive Oil Farm, you get to see the view of Vicopisano in the near-distance every time you look outside your window. The apartment comes with the necessities needed while staying there - kitchenette, bathroom with shower, & washer if needed. The owner Luccia is a lovely woman who truly made our stay very welcomed to their farm! We found this apartment in a perfect location to take day tours with our car rental to different areas of the Tuscan region! All you need is a good GPS, take the back roads and go experience Tuscany!

A wonderful Tuscan time!

  • 5 of 5

I have just returned from a summer tour & the highlight was definitely my time at Apartmento Rosmarino.

A very warm welcome from Lucia & the family - all so kind & helpful throughout the stay. The apartment is set in the peace & quiet of the farm amongst stunning countryside. All well equipped simply, clean with a lovely bright bedroom. Had a throughly gorgeous 10 days & family joined me in the apartment Limone next door which was equally lovely with Tuscan charm & character. We loved sitting out in the evenings looking at the beautiful view through olive trees & kiwi trees to Vicopisano. Also had wonderful help to arrange trips & a vespa for a few days which was the perfect way to get to know the area. The farm is beautiful & well kept. A great base to explore the beautiful surrounding area. Marie was very helpful & kind throughout the booking process & I look forward to returning & being in touch again. Thank you! Olivia

Memorable holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at this location. Rustic but charming, very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help if we needed it. The area is a lovely spot to explore, wonderful restaurants, local food and wine, don't forget to try the vino sfuso. Would recommend to family and friends for an authentic non touristy italian holiday that is in easy reach of the well known towns and cities.

Tuscany get-a-way

  • 4 of 5

A lovely setting in the hills of Tuscany away from it all. Our hosts were so hospitable and helpful in helping us to figure out the bus and train schedules. I do recommend you go with a car since carting luggage from the village is quite exhausting. The people we met, Lucia, Valentina, Nikola, Alesandro were so nice and friendly. They made us feel right at home. They go out of their way for their guests and you can tell they are sincere. Valentina took time to show us the olive oil operation and the fragrances from the different oils was heavenly. Using public transportation we went to Pisa and Cinque Terre which was a trip worth taking. The apartment is large but I would say suitable for only one couple since there is only one bedroom, although it also has a twin bed in the room. The only negative is the shower, too small and curtain needs to be replaced. Water goes all over the floor. We enjoyed going to the village for our espresso in the morning, the gal there was so friendly and spoke English. Also, there is a small market and we bought some cheese and bread and olives to have with our wine.

Sorry we didn't have a chance to meet Marie, we hear she is a lovely person.
