The Area:

When it comes to LOCATION, it doesn’t get better than this! This 6-bedroom Penthouse is located directly on the magnificent Bávaro Beach in the area of Los Corales and within easy walking distance to supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, bakeries, small shops, spa & salon, gym, etc. Los Corales is one of the best, most charming areas in Bavaro/PuntaCana where tourists can live like the locals do. Everything you need is literally right around the corner!

There are several places (bakeries and small cafés) that serve breakfast and for lunch & dinner you will find lots of exciting options and some of the best restaurants in town, e.g. international restaurants, Italian, Mexican, Asian, Indian, burger joints, etc. If you want to hang out at the beach and enjoy a cool beach bar/lounge, Hurricane Café is just down the beach. The local fruit & veggie truck comes around almost daily and you can get your fresh tropical fruits straight from the fields to take home and enjoy.

The area is safe to walk around in and it’s the perfect place for families with small children because everything is within walking distance. Teenagers and/or older children can easily walk around safely and explore on their own.

The Penthouse does not have its own swimming pool, BUT you do have access to the nearby community pool, which is really nice and also has a restaurant & bar. It is just a short 3-5 minutes walk away.

And then, of course, there is the BEACH! The Penthouse is literally ON THE BEACH. You step out of the building and you feet are already in the sand…walk approx.. 50 steps further and you are on the beach itself. There is a private beach area, which belongs on the condominium where the Penthouse is located, with sun beds and palm leaf umbrellas…and the most gorgeous ocean! The beach is yours for the taking! If you want to exercise, you can easily walk/run a 5K (or more!) along the beach, go for a swim or do a little sunrise yoga/stretching to the sound of the waves. The early mornings are best for working out, before it gets too hot.

The Penthouse:

The penthouse has 2 levels. The building where the Penthouse is located does not have an elevator. There are 3 flights of stairs to get to the front door and another to get to the two of the six bedrooms and the rooftop terrace.

On the first floor of the Penthouse you will find a big open space with living room, dining area (seats 12) and kitchen – fully air-conditioned and with a ceiling fan. The living room has 3 comfortable sofas and a large flat screen TV with cable and WIFI. On this floor there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

A stairway leads to the second floor, where there are 2 bedrooms and one bathroom AND access to the large rooftop terrace.

All bedrooms have two twin/single beds that can be combined to one king bed, flat screen TV, plenty of closet space, air condition and ceiling fan.

The rooftop terrace is the heart of the house! This area has been created as a green garden with artificial grass, plants, two big sun beds, dining table (seats 12), gas BBQ…and view of the ocean. This is the place where you want to hang out in the evenings, listen to music, have a few drinks & some good food and share with your family & friends.

The Penthouse comes with daily maid/cleaning service.


Once you book the Penthouse, our in-house concierge will be at your service to assist you in planning your stay from A to Z. You may choose these additional services at your convenience (all services are subject to availability and extra charges, i.e. they are not included in the rental price):

- Private airport transfers from Santo Domingo, La Romana and/or Punta Cana Airports

- Rental cars and other transportation

- Spa treatments at Six Senses Spa or In-villa spa services

- Golf tee time reservations w/ transportation

- Excursions (diving, snorkeling, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, catamaran cruises, etc.)

- Chef service

During your stay at the Penthouse, our on-site (English speaking) villa manager will be in charge of the day-to-day managing of the Penthouse. The villa manager also acts as your personal concierge and is ready to assist you with basically anything you need to make your vacation a unique and memorable experience. 



Electricity is not included and is charged upon departure based on your consumption (1kWt = USD 0,50).

About Anders Bogebjerg

My name is Anders Bogebjerg, and I am the property manager of Palmera Penthouse.

I am a professional (PGA) golf player and former European Junior Champion from Denmark. Before moving to Punta Cana, I was playing golf professionally in Scandinavia and Europe at Challenge Tour level. From 2000 I began working in the traveling industry every winter season for Danish traveling agencies as a golf pro, representative and destination manager. In 2002 my travels took me to the Dominican Republic, where I settled down and took over Palmera Travel together with my wife, Rawnie Hansen. We have been living in Punta Cana full time since 2005, where we specialize in customizing vacation packages for travelers from around the world. In 2008 we started managing luxury vacation properties, which is where our focus currently lies.

Why Anders Bogebjerg chose Bávaro

We manage several properties in the area of Los Corales, and when we came to see the Palmera Penthouse, it was a very old and worn-down property which needed a complete makeover.

We love the location and the unique location and the views, so we took it over and started the complete renovation of the place. Initially it was a 4 bedroom, with a lot of waisted space on the room top terrace.

We decided to transform it into a 6 bedroom so we took half of the space of the rooftop terrace and build 2 bedrooms and a bathroom up there.

We have tried to keep the whole renovation of the property in a modern beach-like style, all in white/black with a few touches of color here and there.

What makes this condo unique

Palmera Penthouse is located in Los Corales in the heart of Bavaro. You are within walking distance to 9 restaurants, several bars, bakeries, cafe's, mini markets etc.

Apart from that you have a private beach area with private beach lounge chairs belonging to the unit.

Great place and location!

Great location and within walking distance to many restaurants and markets. We walked to breakfast, lunch and dinner any given day and didn’t have more than a 10-15 min walk.

Piero and Flor are wonderful. Always there and willing to help. We were determined to see DR outside the resort life and they helped with just that. Piero arranged rides and reservations when needed and had trusted people he would go through to ensure we had a great stay. He’d call ahead and would talk with restaurant managers to ensure superior service but even at the places we went to, you could tell you would get it regardless.

We had a few minor issues with house stuff but one call and it would be fixed same day.

Rooftop was great for all of us to sit and chill.

You can’t go wrong especially based on location and price.

6 bedroom on the beach

We had a group of 12 stay at this 6 bedroom condo over Christmas. The location is great as it is practically on the beach. The biggest negative is that you have to pay for electricity and we did not get a picture of the meter at the beginning of the week, although we were promised one. It is just a risk as to what you will pay. The property manager Piero was a great help with all his restaurant recommendations, they were wonderful.

Owner's Response: Hi Sue, Thank you for your review! We’re happy that you came to stay with us and enjoyed the Penthouse, location and service provided by our team. You are absolutely correct that the electricity is not included in the rental of this property. This is also mentioned on the listing, in the rental agreement that you signed and in our communication with you throughout the booking & planning process. Normally, the property manager goes to check the meter upon arrival together with our guest(s) so that there is no confusion, and they note down the number together. I am not sure why this wasn’t done in your case, and I do apologize for that. He has informed me that he took a photo and promised to send to you, but for some reason the image was deleted on his phone. We have already taken steps to prevent this from happening again in the future and apologize again for the inconvenience this may have caused you. The payment of the electricity should not be a “guessing game” nor seen as a “risk as to what you will pay”. This is not how we want to do business. As you were initially informed by us during your booking process, guests should calculate on paying approx. US$ 10-15 per bedroom, per day for the electricity – all depending on how much you use e.g. the a/c which is the biggest consumer of electricity in the property. Your electricity bill came out to US$ 358.50 for a 7-night stay (divided by 6 bedrooms), which is only US$ 8.50 per bedroom per day. So, below the estimated cost which we advised you of before your arrival. But regardless of the cost, we’re very sorry that the property manager did not send you the photo of the meter as promised and assure you that this will not happen again in the future. Amazing Property and Staff

This was a dream location to spend a few days. The manager, Piero, is very attentive and understands what you may want and need for your vacation. The maid, Flor, does an amazing job cleaning the property. I highly recommend this penthouse! We will be back very soon!

Beachside Paradise

The villa was perfect for our girls trip! Flor, Axel and Piero were so amazing and extremely accommodating!

Quick walk to the beach, restaurants and stores made it very convenient!

The excursions that Bodil suggested and planned prior to arrival went off without flaw.

I would definitely recommend staying at this villa to friends!
