Decorated in early American antiques the cottage is located at the end of a private lane with 7 other cottages on the track , so there is no traffic. Enjoy walks on country trails and roads and enjoy the quaint town of Lyndonville, where there is a great outdoor hot dog stand, pizza shop, par three golf course with bar and restaurant, as well as visiting Browns Berry patch, for an ice cream cone or farm raised specialties.
Located near Lyndonville, Town of Yates, vacationers can easily travel to Buffalo, Niagara Falls, or Rochester area attractions -- OR, simply RELAX on the banks and BE LAZY! Sitting on the shore, the view to the west is amazing as the sun sets by the Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse -- or, on a clear, calm night, see the Toronto skyline across the lake. Enjoy a bonfire, play horseshoes, or rent a boat or kayak nearby -- Golden Hill State Park is within a few miles of the cottage as well as Point Breeze for fishing charters and boat rentals.
Niagara Falls and Lewiston, are less than an hour away, with lots to see. Take advantage of the local wineries, Amish farm stands, Amish meat markets and shops. Six Flags/Darien Lake is also less than an hour away.
There are neighboring private cottages, but property has back lawn for outdoor sports. Enjoy bonfires on the lake facing shore for incredible stars and the occasional s'more, with unlimited wood at your disposal. The lake access is to the right of the property via the boat launch. With a rock beach, there is never ending entertainment of rock skipping. The water depth is gradual with shale, water shoes or a pair of old sneakers have always worked for us.
Set to the rear of the main house stands a small back house titled the guest house. The room has a four poster double bed and is designed as a separate bedroom, the only limitations is one has to use the facilities in the main house across the driveway.

We had a wonderful time here it was very peaceful the house was perfect for us. My daughter loved the loft with the canopy bed. The kids loved to explore the house and look at all the interesting items that have been collected. The weather was perfect we had fires looking out at the lake every night. Everything we wanted to do wasn't very far away. Would definately stay here again
Solitude by the Lake
Our family stayed for a week at this Lake Ontario property & had a fantastic vacation! The yard is very large & you couldn't ask for a more tranquil, beautiful setting on the Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed the bonfire pit each night, as well as a morning cup of coffee overlooking the water. The house is deceptively large & there was plenty of room for us to spread out. If you are looking for quaint charm in a private, serene setting, this is it!
Lovely older home with great views of Lake Ontario. Wineries, Amish markets, Niagara Falls, lighthouses, many different things to see and do all within easy drive or just sit and relax at the waters edge. Owners accommodating to meet your needs. Would definitely rent again. Thanks for a great vacation and the wonderful memories shared with my 87 y.o. Mother.
