Absolutely perfect

  • 5 of 5

Debbi and John's house was the perfect summer getaway from the city for our family of six. We were just there for the month of August and we are missing it already. The house is very comfortable and homey - with a fully-stocked kitchen (all the pots and pans and even smores skewers you'd ever want) and enough beds to fit our extended family of 12. There's also a beautiful grand piano and some instruments that John was kind enough to let even our kids play with. The basement is the perfect spot for the kids - foosball table, air hockey, games - and even a kitchen.

But really, the highlight of the property is its gorgeous outdoor area. The pool is spacious and shallow enough on one end for my 5 year-old to easily stand by herself and deep enough on the other side for my 11 year-old to jump off the diving board into. There is a cabana with a bathroom and a changing room right by the pool and an outdoor shower that was many of our guests favorite feature of the house.

The koi pond delighted everyone - both young and the old - and of course, the fire pit was a special treat for the kids. John and Debbi had more than enough logs piled up for us to use and they were enough thoughtful enough to stock us with enough propane tanks for the grills, which we used A LOT.

The tennis court is amazing, with a surface that dries out quickly from the rain and lots of balls and some racquets for you to use. It also has two basketball hoops and the net can be raised and the court can be turned into a volleyball court.

John and Debbi were the perfect hosts - super responsive to all of our questions and very knowledgeable about the area around Cold Spring.

We can't say enough wonderful things about the house and our time there. Thank you so much to the Milners for everything!

Awesome weekend

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I just spent an amazing weekend at Debbi's house. The house itself was great -- tennis/basketball court, foosball, ping pong, big TV, music in every room, great kitchen -- and on top of all that, Debbi gave great local color. The Coffee Pantry and Vera's Market were both highlights. Thanks again, Debbi. I would strongly recommend this property. It is extremely well priced for everything it and the surrounding area has to offer.

Superb Family Home!

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay at Debbi and John's home! Our family was visiting from California for our daughter's wedding in Beacon. Everything in the home was clean, comfortable and Debbi and John were so welcoming.

We had nice fires, walks in the woods and could even get in a little tennis on the beautiful sport court. The downstairs apartment was perfect for our son's young family.

Thank you for making our 'wedding week' so relaxing. We will always remember this special time!

Excellent Weekend Stay for Friends and Families

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the house for our 10-year reunion and couldn't have been happier. All of the accommodations were great. John and Debbi were very responsive to questions in the lead-up to our stay and a personal tour with the property manager upon our arrival set the entire weekend up for success. The bedrooms were great for what we needed and the downstairs Rec Room was a nice addition. While we weren't able to use the pool given the season, the property is incredible. The tennis/basketball courts, koi pond and jacuzzi were all great amenities. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Summer Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay on this property! We took advantage of everything on this incredibly equipped property and it was like being at camp for grown-ups. Tennis, cooking, swimming, hot-tubbing, musical instruments and ping pong were part of our daily routine, and that was just while we were at home. The location is ideal to access all the best parts of the Hudson Valley--Boscobel for Shakespeare and the farmer's market, Beacon for galleries and terrific restaurants, hiking, kayaking, biking and canoeing, all within 20 minutes or less. The house is great for hosting guests, where everyone can spread out and have privacy. The owners were a true pleasure to work with, and made our experience very comfortable and relaxing. Can't wait to go back!
