About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Come make yourself at home at this cute and cozy three bedroom Rockaway Beach vacation cottage! Recently remodeled, this pet friendly home-away-from-home is filled with charm - from the electric fireplace to the wood-slat ceilings and wainscoting. And best of all, it's right across the street from the ocean and downtown Rockaway Beach!

Inside the living room, you'll be able to come back from a beach walk and enjoy the light from the cozy electric fireplace. On nights when you want to stay in, there's a flat screen TV on the mantle, as well as cable and a DVD player. Just pop some popcorn and settle back onto the comfy couches for a movie night or just lounge about and use the WiFi to get online.

The modern kitchen is well-stocked with stainless steel appliances and gadgets for meal preparation. Here you'll have a refrigerator, stovetop/oven, dishwasher, toaster, and even a coffee grinder. Pick up some fresh seafood while out and about and you'll be able to make a memorable vacation dinner your whole group will enjoy sitting down to. Out on the deck, there's a gas grill, giving you even more cooking options.

At night, the three bedrooms have spots for up to eight guests, with two queen beds, a full bed, and two twins. And in the master bedroom, you'll even have a beautiful claw-foot tub.

When you stay at the Ocean Shells Cottage, you can bring up to two dog guests as well (with a nightly pet fee). When you're here, you'll also have a washer and dryer for doing laundry, so don't worry about getting dirty while out exploring the Oregon Coast with your four-legged friends.

Best of all, it's just a short walk from here right down to the beach. Head to the sand to build sandcastles, fly kites, or just relax and watch the waves roll in. There's miles and miles of beach to explore, including the iconic Twin Rocks to the south - a perfect backdrop for sunset photos.

Downtown Rockaway Beach has a number of restaurants on the nights you don't feel like staying in. There's the Whale Spout for fish and chips and clam chowder, the Cow Belle Cafe for hearty breakfasts, or you can pick up a pizza at Upper Crust and bring it back to your beach house to enjoy.

This Rockaway Beach vacation rental is perfect for a family getaway or a group of friends who want to stay right near the beach! Filled with cozy furnishings and charming accents, you'll love staying at this cottage and exploring the Rockaway Beach area.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Super cute spot!

 • 4 of 5

The house is adorable with the kind of nooks and crannies that a proper beach house should have. It's very comfortable. Bring wine glasses if you want them and pepper. There is a broken counter next to the stove and when we leaned on it our bottle of Oban was catapulted across the room. Super cute, comfortable place overall, just a little quirky.

Great sleepy beach cottage

 • 4 of 5

This was very nice for my wife and two small kids. We probably could have comfortably had two small families here, but no more. House is very tastefully designed and the hot tub was nice to have at nights. The price for the house was great except the $150 dollar cleaning fee seemed steep. I wonder if there is a way for them to refund some of the fee if you leave the property in good condition with them only needing to do minimal work.

Clean, cute home in a so-so location

 • 4 of 5

We stayed here with three couples for a couple nights. The home was great: clean, comfortable, lots of space for everyone and a great kitchen. The hot tub was also really nice. While the home is just a block or two from the beach, you should know that it's also right off the main road, so that's what the view from the living room is. It's not terrible, and for the cost I can't complain, but it definitely took me a little by surprise, so just know that going into it. Even so, we had a great weekend getaway.

Relaxing time in an old beach town

 • 5 of 5

Excellently maintained home. A good location in an old fashioned "beach" town. The best clam chowder and fried oysters available nearby. A grocery store for current needs, and the nearby crabbing is wonderful. We enjoy our relaxing stay here and have for the last three years.
