Located just one block from the base of Winter Park Ski Resort, our tri-level unit offers not only a superb location but incredible ski slope views. Portal Place is one-of-a-kind.

Located inside the gated section of the ski base, this townhome offers luxurious privacy as one of only two units in the duplex. It is on the Fraser River and all windows and decks face the river and the ski slopes.

Portal Place is an ideal retreat for two couples. On the upper level, there are two master suites, each with full bath, Jacuzzi tubs, cable TV, and telephone. One suite has a king bed and one has a queen. There is also a washer/dryer on this level.

On the main level, there is a comfortable living area with a wood burning fireplace, leather sofa-sleeper, gourmet kitchen, dining room, and half bath. The lower level is an entryway with ski storage and 2 carport stalls. Portal Place is a non-smoking unit. Wireless internet is complimentary.

Our unit is very tastefully decorated. All of our guests that have stayed comment on how beautiful the unit is and how it has such wonderful views. An independent rating service placed our unit in the 'Gold' category which is their highest rating. We have recently added new carpeting, appliances and luxury bedding.

In the winter, it is perfect for a ski vacation. In the Summer, it is peaceful yet only steps from all the activities that Winter Park Mountain Resort has to offer.

My wife and I have been visiting the Fraser Valley and Winter Park for more than 25 years and still find it one of the most beautiful areas anywhere. She loves the golfing and hiking in the summer months. With my Minnesota background, I can not get enough of winter and downhill skiing. We both feel very fortunate to be living in such a wonderful environment.

Why George Stevens chose Winter Park

Portal Place is very convenient to the base area, yet quiet and private. The creek is always babbling and lends an extra dimension to being there.

Winter Park/ Mary Jane ski mountain is one of the great mountains anywhere. Every year I find new tree runs and always feel special skiing there.

What makes this townhome unique

There is nothing like tending the (real) wood burning fireplace while enjoying good company and a glass of wine. The radiant warmth of everything can be truly unique.

Hi Madelyne,

It was lovely! Great location...wonderful home & set up perfectly with all the ammenities. You had everything -- linens, lots of blankets, fluffy towels, soap, tissues, all the kitchen necessaries and wood for the fireplace. We bought a new bottle of firestarter (and left it there of course) and had a nice warm romantic fire 2 of the nights. We loved it, thanks very much and will recommend it!

Great space; great location

This place was great for my family's ski vacation. It was an easy walk to the lifts each day and an easy drive into town for dinner. It was close enough that we came back to the condo for lunch each day instead of eating at the resort. The space worked perfectly for our extended family, and having covered parking was quite convenient. The only negative was the train that rolled through late at night some nights, but that's out of the owner's control.

fantastic townhome, close proximity

We had a lovely stay. Despite an uncontrollable weather induced snafu the owners were accommodating, the place is large enough, wonderfully located, warm, inviting. Its all we could ask for in a Winter Park condo. Parking for at least two cars was great. The shower pressure was great and the water was hot when coming in cold from the snow.

Family ski trip

We enjoyed our stay in Winter Park and loved this place. A short walk to the slopes and a very quiet location. The bubbling brook was a treat and a great view of the mountain. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was plenty of space in the condo.

Great location inside the WP Gate!

This was definitely walkable. I would say if you're not a walking person, either have bad knees/ankles/etc. it is not walkable but if you're an able bodied human it's a walkable rout.

The house was perfect for two couples for a long weekend.

I would definitely depend on human interaction as opposed to DVD watching or TV lounging while you're there, but that's what Mountain Weekends are for.
