About Pam & Steve Gannon
Pam & Steve Gannon lived in Grant Park for 10 years - moved away - and have now come back. We love the old homes and being closer to the city. We live in the front house that shares an address with Hideaway House and as such are available to our guests 24/7.
Pam & Steve Gannon purchased this House in 2014
Why Pam & Steve Gannon chose Grant Park
We recently bought the property from Rose & Brian Wilson - they owned the property for 2 years. Prior to the Wilson's, Hideaway House was owned by the same family since it was built in 1920. Hideaway House is a special home with lists of charm and character, which is evident as soon as you walk through the front door.
What makes this House unique
Hideaway House sits at the end of a residential street and on top of a hill that overlooks the historic Roosevelt High School Building, a beautiful Neo-Byzantine structure that has been converted to an apartment complex. Hideaway House is shaded by an enormous oak tree that is breathtakingly beautiful, particularly when the setting sun casts a rosy glow off its many branches.

This was a fantastic house in a great location.
We stared here for 5 days with our son and absolutely loved it. The location was very easy to get to from the airport and located a close distance to everything we visited. The house itself had all the amenities we needed and it was very clean. The surrounding neighborhood was adorable and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again.
Asheville to Atlanta
This was actually a business trip as our women's basketball staff from UNC Asheville was recruiting in downtown Atlanta so this house was in a perfect location for us only 3.5 miles away from World Congress Center where the tournament was located. The house location is very convenient to shops and restaurants as well as a Kroger grocery store that is very nice. I am a runner and was able to run directly from the house to Grant Park every morning with ease.
If we have the opportunity we will stay there again without a doubt. Thanks Pam and Steve and thank you for being so accessible when we had questions..
We are so glad you had a great trip and glad we are part of what made it great. Come and see us anytime.
Fantastic - 5 Star All The Way
This was our third time staying here. Still as wonderful as the first time. The hosts are fantastic. We plan to stay here again next time we are in Atlanta.
Beautiful home for our Atlanta Visit
I rented this Hideaway House for four nights in June 2018 for a party of four adults. It served all of our needs, and made an excellent visit even better.
The main purpose of our trip was to attend a wedding in Tucker, GA (about 30 minutes from here); however, we added a few extra days to make sure we could explore Atlanta. This was my first time in Atlanta since 1997 and everyone else's first time in the city.
The home sits back off of the road behind the owner's main house. There is ample parking for two vehicles off of the street, and directly beside the residence. There is a cute little outdoor sitting area.
Inside is plenty of room to relax. There is a living room and a den (with large television). Two bedrooms (each with queen beds I believe) and two bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked with all of the basic cookware, gadgets, plates, glasses, etc that you could imagine. There is even a full size dining room table, washer/dryer and umbrellas hanging in the back room.
We did get to meet the owners (Steve and Pam) a few times throughout our stay and they were very helpful and nice and give us some super suggestions of great things to do.
The neighborhood is historic Grant Park, just a short distance to the namesake park and very close to Downtown Atlanta and all it has to offer.
I would definitely rent this property again, if my travels brought me back to this great city!
Great long weekend!
What a great place! Close to all the attractions but in a quiet quaint neighborhood. We did not rent a car as we were there for a short stay. We had no issues getting an Uber to and from. Super easy to get around. If we make it back to Atlanta, we will definitely be staying here again.
Hideaway House - a Great stay
The house in tucked away in an historic section of Atlanta. It is quiet while giving easy access to the city's attractions, stores, and venues.
The house is clean and orderly with all the things you are looking for including a great little study. Owners are right next door and are available when needed, but are careful to give you your privacy.
Great to have you - glad you keep coming back.
