Outer Mission House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bdrm With Full Size Beds, 2 Bdrm With Queen Size Beds, 2 Full Baths

4 bedrooms 2 story home in Mission Terrace neighborhood. Bedroom #1 is the biggest of all. There is a TV and VCR. Lots of space for a crib or cot if traveling with children. Bedroom #2 is also very spacious with a huge closet and a couple of dressers. Bedroom #3 has a spacious work desk and chair, perfect for someone traveling on business. Bedroom #4 is on the main level off the dining room. All Bedrooms have windows and therefore lots of natural light and beautiful views. Big back yard, spacious kitchen, formal dining room, living room, deck and laundry facilities. 1 full bathroom on 1st level and 1 full bathroom on 2nd level. Excellent for a large family or large group. Hardwood floors, newly painted exterior and interior. Spacious deck seats 4 to 6.

Mission Terrace is located in the outer Mission, it borders with the Glenn Park area. The neighborhood is very diverse and you will find Italian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican and Salvadorean Restaurants within walking distance of the house. Restaurante Familiar on mission St is one of my favorite places to eat Pupusas. If you are craving Mexican food, try out Taqueria el Menudo, their tacos are awesome! Interested in a big succulent hamburger? If your taste buds want pizza, try Bravo's at 5145 Mission Street, they also deliver.

3 blocks from the house you will find numerous major banks: Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, US Bank, etc. There is also a Walgreen's Pharmacy 3 blocks from the house and several grocery stores within a block or 2. Casa Lucas located at 4555 Mission Street has a huge selection of fruits, vegetables and groceries, especially from Latin America. Safeway Supermarket is located at 4950 Mission Street and it's open 24 hours a day.

.

Public transportation is very easy and accessible from the home. 1/2 block from the house is the 14 Mission bus and the 49 Van Ness bus. Other buses near the house are: 28, 29. 44, 52, and the 43. You can also take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) located 15 minutes walk from the house or you can take the bus from the Bart get off on Mission street and walk 3 blocks to the house. The house is a mere 15 minute drive from San Francisco International airport or you can take BART and get off at either Glenn Park Station or Balboa Park Station and take a bus to the house.

It is hard to believe that this house was built in 1906 because it is intact, solid and has not sustained any damages during the earthquakes in the past 3 decades. The home has crown molding through out and has a lot of character.

Guest will have access to the entire house and the items within it.

My only request is that guest notify me as soon as possible of any broken items.

I like to greet the guest when they first arrive and walk them through the house. I will check in with the guest periodically to ensure that all their needs are being met. Unless there is a problem, I don't generally go back and visit until the date of the departure.

Our neighborhood is diverse with numerous fruit and vegetable markets. There are mostly family owned businesses and all major banks are located within walking distance of the house. Its a sunny part of San Francisco.

The house is located near several bus lines. The 14 Mission which takes you to downtown and embarcadero area, 49 Mission/Excelsior which takes you to Ghirardeli Square, 28- 19th avenue which takes you to Golden Gate Bridge, 43 Masonic, 54 Felton, 29 and 44 buses. Only a 10 minute walk to the Glenn Park Bart Station.

About Betty & Ramon Lopez

My husband Ramon and I are very outgoing and love to travel. We have gone on a Baltic Sea Cruise, several Mediterranean and Caribbean cruises and are always looking for our next adventure. Besides retiring from the US Labor Department, Ramon is a musician and is used to being on the spotlight. We have a son who is an architect/animator and a daughter who is a registered nurse. We both love to cook and entertain. I am from Honduras and my husband is from El Salvador, we have lived in SF for 40+ years. I recently retired as a Manager at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and I'm enjoying my newfound freedom. We are looking for travelers that enjoy the comforts of home in a spacious and charming victorian house.

Betty & Ramon Lopez purchased this house in 1989

Why Betty & Ramon Lopez chose San Francisco

We were looking for a diverse neighborhood years ago when our children were small. We saw a golden opportunity to purchase in Mission Terrace.

What makes this house unique

Sunny charming neighborhood and house. Quiet and welcoming. The house accommodates large groups for meetings and events. Excellent location for business travelers. This is a perfect setting for 4 individuals wanting their own room, or 4 couples wanting their own bedroom. The proximity to the airport and downtown San Francisco makes this house ideal. This house has all the unique features of the famous San Francisco Victorian homes. It's spacious, airy and comfortable setting makes travelers feel at home.

Fabulous house, fabulous hosts

  • 5 of 5

For our needs this wonderful old, well built and maintained house was far beyond what we expected. The owners/hosts were a delight, as well as very conscientious and gracious. They supplied the house nicely with bath and bedding, as well as paper goods, soaps and shampoos. It was a huge help having the ability to use their laundry machines and driveway as parking was difficult to find at times. We learned they are 5 star people, and wish them all the best in the world.

beautiful and accommodating

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time using VRBO and I was a little unsure of how it would work out. There were nine of us staying in the house 4 my wedding. It was much easier than a hotel having to get ready for the wedding and also having three small children with us. I was also happy at how close the house is to everything. We were centrally located to Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf, shopping, Chinatown. The house was beautiful and the view from the back patio was just amazing. It slept nine of us comfortably, and Betty and Ramon are very nice. Anytime I had a question, Betty was very quick to get back to me. The house, the bathrooms, towels and bedding were all very clean. I was surprised at how peaseful and calm the atmosphere was in this house. Plumbing and appliances all worked well. Overall, I am very impressed with my stay at Betty and Ramons house. The only thing I would add are clocks in the bedrooms.

Very Pleasant Surprise

  • 5 of 5

This was our 1st experience with a non-traditional vacation rental so we were somewhat apprehensive about what to expect . Prior to our arrival, Betty kept in contact with us. She immediately answered any questions that we had regarding the house and surroundings. Betty and Ramon's House was as advertised (spacious, sunny and clean). It is a convenient location to the local food markets, Walgreens, Safeway and a Catholic Church (across the street). The drive to Golden gate and Fisherman's Wharf was less than 25/20 minutes during non-rush hours. Betty was a welcoming and gracious host. She gave us a tour of the house upon arrival and then left us to enjoy our stay but was available for any further questions. She let us know that any food, snacks and drinks in the refrigerator and cabinets were available for our use. We were able to use some of these items (i.e., milk, eggs, coffee, seasonings, refreshments); we purchased additional items and left them there for future vacationers. It was good to know that these perishable and non-perishable items would be used for future vacationers and not go to waste. My family and I would definitely stay here again. I would recommend this house for the all the features listed above and the very reasonable price. Gracias Betty y Ramon!!!

Simple elegance

  • 5 of 5

Betty and Ramon have provided a beautiful home in the heart of San Francisco. They are gracious and think of everything from salt and pepper to jackets. The home is welcoming both inside and outside. The parking space is an added bonus. There is a park within walking distance and a variety of cafes on the way to the park. A grocery store is nearby. It was a pleasure staying in this home and meeting the owners.
