Crested Butte. It has a wood burning fireplace, and deck facing Mt. Crested Butte.

The downstairs bath has a tub and granite shower, unfitted vanity cabinet with granite top.

This is a dedicated vacation rental (the owners don't move out so you can use their home for a few days). It is lightly decorated so you have room to spread out.

Walk barefoot on the warm slate floors, even carpeted bedrooms have in-floor radiant heat.

Sit on the bench in the roomy heated garage/storage room to take off and stow your boots and ski gear, and use the ski bench to tune your skis.

Wonderful Mountain Home!

  • 5 of 5

This is a fabulous house! Gilbert has thought of everything and I've never stayed in a cleaner place. It's very organized and comfortable! We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed walking to the mountain base, the views, and the hot tub! You should definitely stay here, you'll want to extend your stay once you see this place!

Beautiful mountain home

  • 5 of 5

We just recently returned from our trip to Crested Butte and absolutely adored this home. The homeowner, Gilbert, was incredibly helpful and shoveled off all of the balconys to ensure we could use them. The house was beautiful and had amazing views. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need (he even had some toys for our boys to play with). I truly recommend staying at this property. It's super close to the base of the mountain and there is even a shuttle that will pick you up at the end of the driveway. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

We fell in love with Crested Butte and the house! The location is so convenient; just a few minutes to drive into town for shops and restaurants and the shuttle for the lifts picks you up literally, right at the end of the driveway. The house is in perfect condition, my dad is a contractor and usually can find something wrong, but he was IMPRESSED! We enjoyed every luxury from the well stocked kitchen, cozy fireplace, heated floors, furnishings, to the hot tub on the deck. The views are phenomenal and we were able to relax because Gilbert was so attentive with any questions or needs we had! It is challenging to find the perfect house for 6 people ranging in ages from 8 - 70, but this is the one! We had a great family vacation in Crested Butte and we will certainly be back again.

Great Place, Great Area

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Mountain House in Crested Butte. We had never been to this area before and found summertime in Crested Butte incredible. The house itself fit the setting perfectly. The owner, Gilbert, is a truly talented finish carpenter and made all of the cabinets and doors by hand. With three different levels, there was enough privacy for all. The house was clean and well furnished. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking and mountain biking. The location is very convenient. We had only one issue with a utility problem and the owner immediately resolved it. In summary, we hope to explore Crested Butte again and if we do, we will try to stay here.
